Hi everyone, another seriously newbie question here from a new designer. I’m working on creating new assets for a digital brand in illustrator. The original brand doc has all our colours, styles etc laid out, however the profile for the brand doc is set to Display… my understanding is that for digital, you should really utilise the sRGB profile, is that right? Colour settings are Euro Gen P 3 across us all, and obviously RGB for digital. Our CD has specified this too... I ask because obviously in Display the colours are brighter and more vibrant, whereas they’re less so in sRGB and export far more muted for pngs. Jpegs not so much but we have white backgrounds that really need to not be there. I’ve not outright asked the designer why he’s chosen a display setting, fear of sounding super stupid I guess... Really just a sense check from outside my team as i’m getting conflicting information from the two senior designers in my team whom i’m being mentored by and it’s noticed that my outpu

I have a problem with all the fonts that start AXT (arabic font) , all the work I have written with these fonts is invalid.Is there a solution to this problem?

Hi, my name is William, I have issue when I tried to open Adobe Illustrator since 3 months ago. It's always not responding. Sometimes, it takes few times untill it opened. I tried to update to newest version (currently v30.0), but the problem is still exist. I have updated to newest MacOS Tahoe 26.0.1. I am using Macbook Pro M2 Max with 32 GB RAM. I have tried to reinstall, restart, and do a clean installation, but nothing works. I have no issues with other Adobe Product when opening application, only with Adobe Illustrator. I attatch screenshot of application below.Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thankyou so much.  

Illustrator has this annoying bug where it adds 1 pixel to an exported JPEG or PNG if the artboard it originates from has got a decimal value in its position. This is very frustrating for someone that pays for these programs and requires precision. Is there an easy way to remove the decimals without always having to click on each artboard and check? It is appalling.

I want to know if i can open a file in outline mode. Every time I try to open a file, the progress bar gets stuck indefinitely at drop shadow and will not finish loading in order to open the file. I’ve tried opening the file in older versions of illustrator. I’ve tried opening the file on different mac computers. I can’t get this file to finish opening up. Please help. Its for a project im working on and i don’t have any copies will open up. 

Hello Adobe team, I’d like to suggest a feature that I believe would significantly improve the workflow for many users: the ability to select multiple handles (anchor point direction handles) and manipulate them simultaneously.Currently, it’s only possible to adjust handles one at a time, which makes fine-tuning more time-consuming and less precise — especially when working with similar curves across different points. A feature that allows users to select and move multiple handles at once — either proportionally or freely — would greatly enhance efficiency. This functionality would add even more power to the Direct Selection tool and give users greater control and speed when working with complex vector shapes.Thank you for considering this suggestion, and for the amazing work you continue to do with Illustrator!

Since updating to 30.4, any time I attempt to crop an image (very often due to shrinking embedded photos for the correct DPI) if I unintentionally make the crop selection too large, it no longer snaps to the corners like it used to, but defaults to generative AI. I never want to generate. Will there be a way to turn this function off in preferences? It is affecting my workflow to the point of having to downgrade back to 30.3. 

Hi, am I the only one, that have troubles with cloud documents in apps past few days? If I want to open anything from my cloud (either home screen - your files or open - open cloud documents and then the cloud documents panel) If I want to scroll my files loading is extremely slow, scrolling is extremely laggy and only 5-6 rows will load at a time, hovering freeze the whole panel, opening anything is almost impossible, cant search through search bar (1 minute per one letter will appear and even if I hit enter nothing will happen. Even cancel or local documents button (bottom ones) are frozen, only macs close button (small red circle) on the panel works at this point. I tried so many things, latest version, version before, uninstalling, restarting, stopping content synchronizer, deleting old airobin files, clearing cache - nothing. Photoshop is same. Only thing that works is Illustrator 2025 anything 29.0+ then it works like a champ, no lag extremely quick, search is instant. Also its n

I’m experiencing severe, eventually complete freezes in Illustrator 30.8.1 on Windows 11. The freeze occurs during normal operations (e.g. selecting objects or changing stroke colours), not necessarily while using fonts.Configuration:* Windows 11, build 26200* Intel i7-13700KF* 64 GB RAM* RTX 3060 12 GB (Studio Driver v616.56)* Illustrator 30.8.1.* FontBase 2026.5.23* ~2,600 activated fontsI have already tried the usual troubleshooting steps, including resetting Illustrator preferences, disabling GPU acceleration, clearing relevant caches, testing different display/scaling settings, and testing with FontBase closed. In Ai the ribbon is intertwined and when I do print preview it is fine. When I make it into a PDF, it does not acknowledge the layers and the ribbon is just sitting on top of the wrist.Ai:Acrobat: 

Illustrator 30.8.1, Mac Studio M4 Max, Tahoe 21.6.2 Was attempting to recreate what was explained on this thread and found that every time I open Spotlight Search (cmd + space) and exit, either by clicking or esc, Illustrator freezes with a rainbow spinning circle for pretty much 5 seconds every time. If you attempt to move items or do anything while frozen, it happens rapidly once Illustrator unfreezes. This can happen on any file and I’m able to recreate it 100% of the time I try.  Interested to know if anyone else on Mac experiences this. Being able to use spotlight search while working to open up other files and not having to freeze Illustrator would be nice. 

When I launch illustrator and the program is in GPU preview on my monitor I get a very strange graphic glitch. CPU Preview - Normal GPU Preview - GlitchyThe program is in version 30.8.2 but the same issue existed on the previous version as well as I just updated to this version to see if that was the issue. 

In the latest version 29.3.1 of Illustrator, all the options for quick operations in my Properties panel are missing, as shown in the following picture. I'm not sure if I accidentally pressed a certain key or if there is a problem with the program.

I have Font Files that are shared out via the creative cloud on an enterprise level. These font files are stored in a hidden User Owned Fonts folder on Macs and Windows. While packaging files I am able to pull the Font File name out of the XMP and comb through known font locations to gather the font file.When I save files on a Mac it writes the XMP correctly, but when I open the same file on a Windows machine, the Font File name information is being rewritten and defaulted to Myriad pro instead of the correct font file despite the file being installed and accessible on the machine.Does anyone know why this might be happening and how to fix?XMP on a Mac XMP on Windows 

I’m in school and the Instructor shares links to some Illustrator training techniques to learn from Adobe. Once you click on the link, it takes me to the main page and not the topic page that's being shared. There is no search bar to easily search for the title or actually topic. Every time I have to manually scroll through multiple pages to find the exact topic being shared. Every link always goes back to the main page, why?. It’s very annoying.Thank you for your time,v/rCS

Hi allI am creating a big poster and wanted to query the use of RBG vs CMYK. So i understand that one should use RBG for display on a monitor and for web products etc. and CMYK for print products (such as a poster) however, if I import a nice colour image into a document set to RBG, it prints very nice, colours vibrant.  If I then set that same document to CMYK and print that same image, it appears washout out and dull.So my question is, why not leave my document set to RBG? it may not reproduce exactly whats displayed on my monitor, but its much closer than using the CMYK?Thanks for your assistance.

Hi All,For some reason, my mouse scroll isn’t working within menus (and I’ve tried using other mouse as well).For longer menus, such as Window, I have to manually click the down arrow at the bottom of the panel to scroll through the options. This is very time-consuming and, quite frankly, very frustrating.Has anyone else experienced this or know how to resolve it?

I’m having an issue when using Photoshop and Illustrator together. While creating mockups, the screen shown in the video keeps appearing. The same file opens without any problems on another computer. On the computer where the issue occurs, it may sometimes work normally as well. I can’t determine the cause because it happens frequently for a while, then may not occur again for some time.Because of this issue, I have to rebuild every element each time. Instead of creating it once and easily reusing it multiple times, I have to work on it every time as if I were making a new mockup from scratch.In the video, I showed both two problematic elements and one element that works correctly, which I was able to edit in Illustrator. I changed the last element to yellow. If the other elements worked the same way, this would be a simple task completed quickly. Instead, it took much longer because I had to create a new mockup for every element that did not work. 

Flatten transparency not working because its saying i have too many spot colours but i have no spot colours in my art 

Can someone help me understand why the corner widgets work differently on these two rectangles. The top dark purple rectangle is the one that I just made. When I move the widgets the corners either change into a semi-circle or back into hard edges. I’m trying to copy the light purple bottom rectangle to understand how it’s been made and how it works. The corner widgets do the same thing but create more curve and are positioned in a different place. Any help will be much appreciated. I’m very new to this!   

In Illustrator (most recent up to date version), I did a shortcut and accidentally turned my workspace to white.  I went to preferences ->user interface ->brightness and changed the color.  It changes the interface except for the workspace color, it remains white. However; if I open a new document it does change to the appropriate color.  I just don't want to copy and paste all my work to a new document.  This happened at work on a PC. When I brought the file home I opened it on a IMAC with the same issue. 

Text wrap ignores parts of the first letter in italic like the bottom part of the letter “p”. In a font like Time New Roman, the bottom of letter “p” extends outside the text box. That part of the letter just goes under the object it is wrapping around and is no longer visible. I see this problem in CS4. Any suggestion for a workaround that would not need tweaking when text reflows? Is this problem still there in CC 2026?
