Questions

Estaba trabajando en un documento en nube y el programa dejó de responder. Estoy desde windows asi que dice "No Responde". Pasan varios minutos e intento cerrar el programa, hago click en la opción, esperar a que el programa responda, y sale un mensaje como Illustrator esta recopilando datos, o algo así. Se termina de cerrar y busco si hay algun recuperado o algo y nada. 2 horas de trabajo eliminados. Estoy segura que guarde varias veces antes. De todos modos, tengo la configuración para datos de recuperación cada 2 minutos, y autoguardado en nube cada 5 min. Es imposible que haya perdido 2 horas de trabajo, y aquí estoy, con todo el progreso avanzado eliminado completamente. Ya revise la carpeta de Data Recovery y esta vacía, y en propiedades dice que no tiene tamaño. No hay nada. Es primera vez que me pasa algo así, es bastante grave ya que estoy 100% segura que guarde despues dentro de estas 2 horas. Minimo 30 a 20 minutos antes de que dejará de responder el programa.

I was unable to find a fix for this in my searching here and other sources, I am a beginner with Illustrator and 3D file types I am trying to export this as GLTF but it is grayed out (see image). I am not certain what I am doing wrong, and yes I have selected the asset and there are other file types clearly available to select. Trying export to put it in Adobe Dimension. Thanks! 

App crashed during an important project, I have my file handling already set to save ever two minutes, but the file in the data recovery autosave location is in an unkown formatt and cannot be opened. I have renamed the file with a .ai but this doesn't work. Is there a way to recover this file? Many thanks. 

I noticed 2-3 updates ago that when I click the fill or stroke dropdowns in the top right tool bar that the dropdown menu is all glitchy. Sometimes only two menu options are visible and the whole menu is out of wack.I'm attaching 3 screenshots I took all within seconds of eachother. One is normal, one is nearly invisible except for two buttons, and one is missing just a few items. The only thing that temporarily resolves it is switching between "Color Mixer", "Gradients", and back to "Swatches". I just updated today to 28.7.1, but had this issue with the previous version as well.Is there anything I'm missing here? Or anything I can try to get rid of this issue? 

Hello everyone, here's the problem I can't solve.I have a set of svgs, but one of them keeps empty transparent space on 4 sides. The fault lies with the bounding box of an element of the composition, a circle that extends onto 3 sides of the artboard. Request.How do I delete the space occupied by the circle bounding box. Thanks

Hello, new to this community. I have an issue when I export a PDF from eDrawing and then import the PDF to Illustrator to be able to do the illustration of the product. When I try to embedd the link I get an error message saying something like: "Document contains PDF object that has been interpreted.  A un-known picture contruction has been detected." And the the picture just becomes a big black blob. Any suggestions as to what is wrong?

Hola, buenos días.Tengo un problema en IA no encuentra el Gpu, me dice que no hay ninguno compatible por lo tanto no puedo usar el Zoom animado. Mi Gpu es un AMD Ryzen 5 7430U with Radeon Graphics, tengo 16gb de ram y memoria utilizable vram de 512mb. Mi computadora es una ASUS ZENBOOK 14.  Trate de muchas maneras como vi en tutorías de youtube pero ninguna me está funcionando y necesito el zoom porque si no es muy difícil de trabajar. Espero respuesta. Si necesitan algún dato más de mi laptop avísenme.GRACIAS

I installed the latest update, and now EVERY AI file I have on my computer (going back years) shows with a PDF icon (I'm on PC, BTW). I know that sometimes an individual file can be corrupted and default to a PDF, but I'm talking about files I have never opened with this new version of Illustrator!  I'm afraid to open any of my old files for fear of corrupting them! Is this an Illustrator error or some kind of virus?  Any ideas? UPDATE: I uninstalled Illustrator and Acrobat, reinstalled (Illustrator first), then restarted my computer.  All of my AI files show an Acrobat icon.  Whn you hover over the filename, it says it's an AI file, but when you open it, it opens in Acrobat!!

I am looking to see if there is a way to render out a structured logo pack from illustrator using one button.  The logo pack i have designed is created to help people find the right logo to use for the right purpose. For example if you need a high res print file with transparant background you would follow the path of CMYK_For_Print > PNG_300_DPI  Currently when creating logo packs i render out the assets by file type, SVG, PNG, JPEG and then spend some time draggin the assets to the correct folder, but im wondering if there is a way to render the various logo types into a specific folders creating the structured logo pack saving me a lot of work. I have over 100 logo packs to create for variations of the main brand logo im using. I have included an image of the logo pack file structure. It might seem a bit folder heavy but if you follow the process of why you need the logo and for what purpose it should take someone with no knowledge of logos or f

I've had this problem for a few days now, the program always worked fine but now when I want to export an image to the web it simply doesn't save or I have to restart the program several times until I can do it. No errors appear, the process seems normal until I look for the file on the PC and it is not found. Does anyone know how to solve it?

Why the eyedropper cannot take colour from image? And if the object in group also cannot.

Hi there, I can find endless 3D text tutorials that create rendered text using the new render tools - but nothing on creating 3D vector text. I notice there's no perspective distort (or similar) under transform and that there are perspective functions under the Object menu but they're always greyed-out. Is there a way to create old-school 3D text like this - but using vectors?  And if you have to create it by hand, what would the prcess be in Illustrator? Sorry, I've never drawn anything in perspective so not sure how you approach this. Any pointers in the right direction much appreciated. Cheers, Ben

Hi - I'm looking to do a project.  I'm not sure which Adobe application is the right one to use, if any, but I figure Illustrator is the most likely candidate, so I'll as here. I'm looking to do a project where 4 high resolution images will be properly aligned under a lower resolution image of the entire scene. My reason is that an image of the whole scene at the detail I need is producing too large of a file when exported as a flattened JPG, PNG, PDF, BMP, etc.  While I'm not super savy when it comes to this, I guess I'm looking for my my computer to only open and use the files that cover the part of the image that I'm viewing, and would access the detailed viles when zoomed in, but the broad image when zoomed out. Can anyone recommend an adobe app to build and read such file from, that is, if one even exists? Thanks.  PS - I have a very powerful mac. 20 cores and 128 GB of memory. 

I have put this up elsewhere too as I am in a panic. Job we did a couple of years ago use Acherus Grotesque font. For some reason it is no longer on my drive. It is not in Adobe fonts. I went and spent the $50 to get the licensed font, but I can't get it to load. I double click-install, but it doesn't show up. I went to Adobe Cloud and uploaded to the fonts, rebooted everything, still nothing. I need this font to work. What am I doing wrong? It still shows as a missing font, I've activated I've done everything I know to do. HELP! 

Hello, i really need your help with this. I have to draw a flower, but everytime when i place the anchor point on one flower petal, then duplicate the flower petals and choose the Live Paint Bucket to fill in all the petals it will not close on the anchor point. Anybody know how I can fix this?

How can I get my illustrator doc smaller than 10mb?

These popups keep showing up in my libraries, every time I repon a library and its driving me nuts. I cannot do anything until I click through all three popups.  How can I turn these off? 

Hey,I use illustrator cc to create cutting lines to be processed with roland versaworks. line thickness 0.25 and I safe this as an eps file adobe postscript language level 3. When I open this file with versaworks I sometimes have a dubble cutting lines, close to each other.This is not always the caseHow is this or what am I doing wrong?

I am running Illustrator 2024 (28.7.1) on Mac OS (14.6.1 (23G93)). When I open an Illustrator file where I have placed images that are linked (jpg's and Photoshop files) I get error messages that state something like the following:"Cuold not find a plug-in to read the linked file "xxxxx.psd". Choose Replace to select another file or ignore to leave the link unchanged.""Illustrator could not read the link "xxxxxx.jpg". Click "Replace" to select another link or Click "Ignore" to open the file without changing this link."If I choose to "Ignore" and then try to re-link the file, I get similar errors. I also cannot link new files. The dialog box opens to select a new file to link with .psd and .jpg files available to choose, but then I get an error after trying to link them. I have Photoshop installed on my machine, and I certainly can open .jpg's with a variety of programs. Hi all,I've noticed that using the gestures on the touchpad on my HP laptop, the functions zoom in/out and pan (horizontally) are not working on both InDesign and Illustrator. The same actions work on Photoshop, and I know you can zoom in and out using Ctrl+ or Ctrl- but that only zooms towards the centre of the image, and if I want to navigate the image when it's zoomed in I have to select the Hand tool, click and drag on the image which makes it really long and frustrating when I'm working, because say if I'm using the pen tool, I would have to stop using it to move across the artwork. I've read numerous threads and looked for video tutorials, but seems like the quickest way to zoom in and out is Ctrl+/-. Is there anything I'm missing? why am I able to use these actions on Photoshop?Also, as far as I remember, the same functions work just fine on Mac which makes me wanna consider buying one, but I really hope there's a way to overcome this on Windows.Thanks.

Hi!One of our users has problem when creating package from Adobe Illustrator CC - Fonts folder is empty although everything else is successfully exported. This user has new computer and issue is present from beginning. There isn't any error shown, only fonts are not saved. Does somebody have any idea what can we try to resolve this issue?
