Hi, I'm trying to export a file to PDF, however everytime I do this it is exporting extra space around my artwork that is not there. How can I resolve this? Adobe Illustrator crashed and went non responsive then had to shut down and recover the file. I then tried creating a new file and copying the artwork across, however I'm still having this issue.

As a teacher, is there any way to determine if a student is using generative AI to create some of their artwork? Are there telltale signs, OR would I need to spend time with prompts to see if I can recreate the artwork? Thanks

Yesterday I was working on a project and today illustrator "forgot" that these fonts were installed, after that I tried to activate the fonts but after clicking on "Install" on the "Resolve missing fonts", just kept loading for a long time with no avail. The only way I managed to fix it was re-downloading the fonts from a different website and installing them manually, being the fonts in question: Poppins and Montserrat. Is there any way I can prevent this from ever happening again? a colleague told me to do a clean install of illustrator, just in case.

Why is it that when theremis an update fromm Adobe, the app seems to be worse than previous??? Just ranting here, but don't the Adobe software devs test before it goes live???? Illustrator ran great before last week...

I know this mightve been asked a gazzillion times but I was curious wether there is any news about importing brushes into the app version. I was working on a project and I'd like to use brushes directly into the ipad app rather than having to edit it in the desktop version

Zooming with option key + scroll (trackpad or magicmouse) does not work well in Illustrator v28 and all later versions. It works erratically and vaguely. I expect it to work like the zoom animation when I use the zoom tool. When I upgrade to v27.9.6 (2023), it works fine.Tested on macbook air m2, macbook pro m1, imac2020. I hope for an improvement; until then, I have to use the old version.

I am trying to add a text box effect to a single word in a sentence while keeping editing capabilities, The way I've made the text box is using two fills in the appearance panel and converted the bottom fill into a rounded rectangle using an effect. This works perfectly for a single word or for an entire sentence, but I would like to apply this editable effect to a single word in the same text box. The only workaround is to use the effect in a separate text box on only that word, but then it becomes a challenge to align them perfectly, and if editing needs to take place then the same issue arises. Any help woudld be much appreciated!

I open illustrator create a file and when I try to use the scroll bars the sofware goes crazy  and the window scrolls crazilly both horizontal and vertical.  The only way I can get it to shutdown is to close it from the taskbar.  I am not software literate but I have been using adobe products for year without major issues until this occurencel.  I get no error message just all the controls are frozen.  I use illustrator a lot especially when I'm trying to manipulate text so it is important to me.  Please give advice to try any fix-up you can suggest.  I've read some posts that said there is a problem with the graphics pen but I use my tablet with all my software with no issue.  Your advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.   Manny    

Tha app crash when loading, at "initializing plug-ins...vectorizeUI.aip". I tried to remove this plu-gin, but then it crash to another one etc. Unitil it closes at "initializin plug-ins...illustrator.exe".   I tried to uninstal and re-install illustrator, using the Adobe Cleaner Tol, but there is no difference. I feel like it's problemm with my computer, maybe a corrupted file somewhere ?   I don't know.   If anyone coud help me please.   Thank you!   {Renamed by MOD}

Hi there, Im using Windows pro 10 for work stations and have Illustrator 27.8.1 installed.My `-key, that I use to move pattern fills inside paths, is not working anymore. `+R, `+S, `+hollow arrow, all are not working anymore.I have reset my preferences, restarted my computer, unplugged my keyboard. My PC is set up in English and so is my key board and Illustrator.Does anyone know what to do?Kind regards,W

This performance issue often occurs when I open Illustrator v 28.4.1 and Photoshop v 25.6 at the same time, making my PC perform extremely slow and lagging. it's enough to make me feel annoyed while working. I've tried reinstalling Illustrator and Photoshop, changing the graphics performance for the Illustrator & Photoshop app to "High Performance", updating the latest GPU driver, cleaning temporary files, updating windows to the latest stable 2H22 version. but the result is that the performance issue is still not fixed. additional information I use hardware: CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, RAM 32GB DDR4, SSD NVMe M.2 500GB, Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, be quiet 700w PSU, Windows 11 Pro 22H2

HI all , i got a customer PDF file , adobe CC 23.1 when i open the file in AI 2024 28.4.1， the salmon was show in front and looks fine but when i rip the file by caldera , the salmon was go to back (see the image) printed out is there anyone can tell what happen ? thank you

How do I keep lines straight? Used to be, holding down the "shift" key would keep lines straight, this no longer works, I'm going nuts trying to keep lines straight. Gah! If I drawa a strait line, neet to extend the line a tad, I drag out a point, the line goes wonky. I need it to be straight. Please help.

I hope this message finds you well.I have been using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign on my PC for the past three years without any issues. However, after recently reinstalling Windows on my system and downloading Adobe Creative Cloud again, I am now encountering compatibility issues. Specifically, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign are showing as incompatible with my PC, although Adobe Photoshop is functioning properly.Could you kindly assist me in resolving this issue? Additionally, I would appreciate guidance on how to install other compatible versions of Illustrator and InDesign, as the option to select a different version does not appear to be available.Thank you for your support, and I look forward to your response.

Le document n'a pas changé de nom, ni de format, il y a de plus des commentaires sur ce lien de partage initial, comment le réattribuer au document qui ne l'affiche plus dans Illustrator ?Merci pour votre aide précieuse.Cordialement

Hello! I am a frequent Adobe application user. I use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop on the daily and recently I found out that only Apple users currently have access to these applications on their mobile device and tablet. I would like to kindly request that Android users have the same accessibility. Adobe is a creative outlet and tool and I believe that everyone who has and pays for a subscription should have the same type of accesss across the board. Thank you for your time and consideration. 

Seriously, will useless ***** at Adobe EVER  do what your customers have been demanding for YEARS and fix the clipping mask issues regarding asset exporting and rasterization? What kind of  disgusting horrible company continues to "update" their software regularly but doesn't address one of the most request BUGS (not a feature)? Please for the love of your 13 billion dollar plus revenue LISTEN to your paying customers or PREPARE to have your monopoly crumble under the weight of its own hubris & incompetence.  

Hi Everyone.My right click function is working when I select a clipping mask group.It also works fine when multiple items are selected that aren't in a clipping mask.As soon as I select multiple clipping mask groups the right click function stops working.Any advice on how to solve this issue?

Starting with Illustrator 28.4, the object hierarchy is not preserved when saving and re-opening an SVG file. Many groups are created for no apparent reason. Example, before save:After save and re-open:After another save and re-open:After another save and re-open:This makes Illustrator completely impractical for editing SVG files. I will have to stay at 28.3 until this error is fixed.

Hello Team, I’m using Adobe Illustrator in my process to save AI files as SVG files. Previously, I used CS5 without any issues, and performance was fast. However, the current version of Illustrator CC is very slow, and I’m facing several problems.Specifically, when I start the application, if I don't interact with the computer, Illustrator doesn’t save data quickly—it can take hours. The same image only takes about a minute in CS5.It seems like Illustrator goes into sleep mode. I’ve reached out multiple times but haven’t received a proper solution; they just keep asking for system specs, which I’ve already provided several times.Please help me with a proper solution. I’m using Mouse Juggler to prevent my system from locking, but Adobe Illustrator still goes into sleep mode if I’m not actively using the computer. I’m running a process that takes around 10 hours, so I can’t be at the computer the entire time. This is really frustrating. Thank you!
