I have a halftone from Phantasm but I need each dot to be a round number, ie 3mm, not 3.452mm. I've found scripts for rounding text sizes but I've been unsuccessful in adapting them to resizing multiple objects at once.Does anybody have a solution?Thanks

In the Adobe Help Guide, it is stated that the "largest ring" is calculated as a percentage of the average ring. However, when experimenting, I noticed discrepancies in the results. For example, when creating a flare with a 100pt diameter, 5 rings, and setting the largest ring to 100%, with the path set to 300pt, the calculated ring sizes are: 10pt, 10pt, 75pt, 150pt, and 300pt. When I calculate the average of these rings, it comes out to 109pt, but the largest ring is not 100% of this average size. Could you clarify how Illustrator calculates the largest ring and why the results seem to differ from the described method?

Possibly with the last update or possibly I changed something in the preferences, but now Illustrator is creating multiple tmp files and bak files when I'm working and saving files.  In a recent project I was creating 200+ files and now I have over 800+ tmp and bak files.  I've read several forums to go into preferences and uncheck Automatically Save Recover Data..., but it's still creating all these tmp files.  I'm tired of deleteing 10-20 tmp files every day.  Any suggestions?     {Renamed by MOD}

Why is the Illustrator Beta for ARM64 restricted to certain regions. I reside in Taiwan and although my language is set to English US, I don't see the beta available in creative cloud. This is extremely disappointing. Such a big company and you do such petty things for reasons unknown to customers. Affinity has native ARM64 versions for their products, whereas we customers pay a huge monthly subscription fee and Adobe fails to deliver the product as promised. This is slowly resulting in corrosion of trust on Adobe, especially when you demand a premium for subscription.Is there any availaibility or should we jump on to Affinity and abandon Adobe all together? To mention, I am not alone, you can do a quick reddit search and 5 of my own friends got the Surface Laptop and are frustrated with Adobe's lack of apps as promised.

I am creating a document and would like to set a page margin for each of my artboards of a .5" margin on all edges tomake them consistent. Instead of using rulers, what is an easier way of doing this? Thanks

Hi guys, i been struggling trying to make the gradient line effect in illustrator (The effect i want to replica is in the picture bellow Anyone know how to make the effect the fastest ways ? Perharp i can draw them one by one but that would be time consumming and less effective isnt it. Thing i been trying: - Trying to make a line symbol then using the symbol spray tool- Make a brush that just a single line then use scattering brush to draw - Make one curve line then using the tranform tool to duplicate it By far none of the method could give me the effect that similar to what i want. The line partten are random with diffrence stroke thickness and slightly curve Anyone got any idea that i could try ? 

I have a grid of rectangles all the same size (3 rows x 3 columns) 9 objects. Is there a way to select the whole grid and change the size of each of the objects in the grid evenly automatically?Jim

Previously, I was using version 27.9, and after upgrading to the current version, I noticed a significant increase in runtime for my process.Previous Process Time: 15 hoursCurrent Process Time: 24 hoursAdditionally, while running the software, I checked the Task Manager and observed that both memory and CPU usage are excessively high.This issue occurs every time I upgrade the version, and it's becoming quite troublesome.Could you please provide some necessary actions or solutions to improve this situation?Thank you!

The latest update has added very close to twice as much time to work tasks because now the application sits in a spinning beach ball mode for at least 1 - 3 solid minutes each time I try to move to a new open window. This is with files and links that are completely local to my machine. It's made my work life [cursing removed]. Is there a way to downgrade?

Hello community. I've recently encountered a bug witht the selection and direct selection tool. When I click on an object to select it, then move my mouse a little, the object follows me for part of the way. There is also a lag when this happens. Both tools have the same issue. I've tried it with existing files and new files. Just to be clear, I'm not clicking and holding down the mouse button. I'm simply clicking on the object, letting go, and as soon as I move my mouse the object moves with me.  I was running the latest version but tried installing the last three versions and I'm having the same issue. Anyone know what could be causing this. See attached video. Thanks in advance. 

Had just updated to Illustrator 27.7  Opened a drawing. Scrolling the mouse wheel up and down would cause Illustrator to freeze.  Not responding, had to force Illustrator to close.This is repeatable every time. Found that selecting "View/Preview on CPU" (ctrl E)  fixed the crashing.  (This is the second line down on the View Menu on the top bar.)Changed it back to ""View/GPU Preview", and sure enough, scrolling the mouse wheel crashed Illustrator almost immediately.  Changed it to "Preview on CPU", and it is fine again. Maybe this will help someone who also is fighting this problem...  Or let them find out why this bug is happening...

Poster Design is possible by Ai & Ps in degital markting. What is the different between those designs? As far as I know design by Ai make it possible for banner printing because the is no pixalisation in zoom in. Is there any other advantages?

If I use the Keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C or Ctrl + X to Copy or Cut, Illustrator will not cut (delete) the object, neither will it copy it, and the Paste option is greyed out and will continue to stay greyed out for the remainder of the time I'm in the program. If I restart the program and manually select Copy from the Edit menu, then I am allowed to Paste it as I please (Paste, Paste in Place, etc). Otherwise if I elect to use the Keyboard Shortcuts for any of the aforementioned actions, the whole system breaks and I cannot manually copy or paste things from the menu anymore. Any insight as to what is causing this using the information I provided? Any and all questions welcome lol

I have a Rizen 9, with 32GB memory, and a Geforce 3060ti, also NVME 1Tb hardrive. water cooled.But if we work on for too long on illustrator and photoshop we get extreme lag and have to restart.What would be the best windows PC specs to run illustrator, photoshop and lightroom?

We are having issues with the new update to the new Illustrator 27.7. Text, when outlined, dissapear. This is extremely dangerous because we outline files which are allready approved. It happens most often with textes on a curve. We had this issue ones before with an update in 2021. Does anyone have the same problem and how can it be solved? 

I was able to access and use it two weeks ago. I search for it now in Adobe Fonts and nothing appears. It does not say that Penumbra was discontinued. During the interim I had switch from using a Mac to a PC. I no longer have access to the Mac files.  

Hi, I'm working on a MacBook pro M3 and for a week now, everytime I copy an object, Illustrator freeze for a couple of seconds.Please help me 🙂

Recently my color settings have not matched what I set for the file. For example I set my colors to RGB when creating a new file, for some reason when i am in the work space the colors are displayed in CMYK, my color settings still say its in RGB but the colors that are being displayed are in CMYK.

I'm using the pencil tool quite a lot in "Accurate"-mode, but it seems like this mode somehow got worse wi9th the last Updates? Did they change anything with the pencil tool? Does anyone suffer the same results while drawing with some speed?There are these wired bumps in a lot of sections, which are absolutely NOT accurate. I know I can smooth the lines, but that smoothes everything. For some drawings I really like the accurate mode - but not this way ...
