Hello After advice on The Adobe pages.  I have deactivated this product to install on a new pc.However I'm getting a message saying the serial number is activated on two devices.  I cannot reactivate. On either Is there a workaround?  Adobe's solution is to pay for a plan. But why should I Any help appreciated 

It happens when I try to do Inflate in 3D and Materials.Please help me to fix it   

I am planning to purchase a new laptop with either a Radeon 890M or an RTX 3700.Has anyone used the Radeon 890M for work in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and can share how it compares to something like the RTX 3060 or GTX 1650?Is CUDA still recommended for working with these applications?

Hi -  For awhile, I create a file in Illustrator then place it into Photoshop.  This has worked fine, including yesterday.  Suddenly, I'm getting 'program error' and the file will not place.  i've tried changing to a PDF and am still running into the error.  The only thing that has changed is I closed out both Illustrator and Photoshop and started them up again.  Thanks for any insight.       

Before the new "Search for missing links in this folder" checkbox was added, the Relink button in the Links panel would allow me to select several placed files in my document and relink them all, one at a time, starting with the object in the front. Now if I select more than one placed file, it only replaces the frontmost file, and deselects the rest of them, unless I uncheck this checkbox. Instead of messing around with a totally different UI for linking files from what has worked in the past, either adopt the superior InDesign linking methodology or leave the workflow alone. I'm unaware of any benefit to this new checkbox, because Illustrator used to automatically find missing files in the folder once you find one, and the Relink button worked properly, allowing you to relink files one at a time. If you're going to fix anything, give us the ability to assign a keyboard shortcut to Relink...that would go a long way.

I recently upgraded from Illustrator CS5.5 to the latest version of Illustrator (28.7). On PC, if I try to export an artboard to JPG from a file that I created in Illustrator CS5.5, the program freezes and only produces an empty, corrupted JPG file (0 KB). This function worked just fine in CS5.5 and it works for new files in Illustrator 28. Additionally, if I save the older back-compatible file in the latest file compatibility format, this still occurs. The only way I can make this work is by copying the content of the artboard to a brand new Illustrator file and exporting from there. Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix it? I have tested this on two different PCs with the exact same result. Thanks!

Hello, I have a problem, namely I need to install Adobe Illustrator on my daughter's chromebook. The school says that there is no way to do this and forces us to rent their... chromebook with the software already installed. I don't really understand whether it is possible or not, or whether the school is somehow pirating the product. Please can someone explain the above topic. Thank you in advance.

Does Illustrator have the ability to copy and flip at the same time?It's a very important and simple feature in Indesign.In ID, you can simply hold down Alt and click the flip button again. But in AI, you need to do it in two steps and it's a pain.You must first copy and then perform a flip.And you have to select the drop down menu, not the direct clickable. It's hard to understand why some of Adobe's software doesn't borrow from each other and unify.Are they really irrelevant and unappreciative of each other?For example, ID's shortcuts are very freely defined, but PS and AI are too restrictive and inconvenient. 

Finished my project last night.  Exported as SVG.  Pulled up the SVG today to convert into other file types.  Illustrator somehow converted my image into text, or thinks it's text, rather.  What's really strange, is that the nodes are still there, and still editable.  But when you export, it assumes it's text and it is ignored by all of my cutting programs.  The lines are completely gone when you import the SVG into another app, such as lightburn.  No matter what I do, I cannot get my image to convert back to an image.  Create outlines and expand both just make the image disappear completely.  Please tell me there is a way to fix this!  I have no idea what went wrong.  I've already used the SVG just fine before, I pulled up the source file to make changes in another part of the design and didn't even touch this image.  Some sort of MAJOR glitch.

Surely one doesn't have to hit Enter to implement the blending in the drop down menu just to see what the blending layer would do, and then go back and click on the drop down menu again, key over to the next layer, and hit enter again? That is madly slow. What's the trick?

Hello,I'm pretty new to AI so I guess this might be a silly/basic question...I'm using an AI project with some basic UI with text boxes, buttons, etc.When selecting an object that will be exported as an individual image, the properties panel gives me the details related to the trace and not the dimensions of what the image will be in the exported 1For example the selection in the screenshot has an area of 92x92 pixels but, if I export the same selection to an individual png, this will lead to a 96x96 pixels large icon. Is it possible to adjust the properties panel so it can show the "exported" size (so 96x96) instead of the trace size?  Thank you!Marco

I am trying to do a step and repeat where i duplicate and rotate a square at the same time. I initially duplicate it (using option + drag) then I'm using the Object Transform Each to set my parameters. But when I hit Command D, it just rotates the original object and does not create new ones. Thank you!

Hi, Type on path is currently having an issue with me, when I write a text on a circle and then want to move it left, right, inner, outer or resizing the circle, I can't properly control it and the text is moving around not as expected compared with illustrator 25 which was working perfectly. Does anyone else got that problem? Illustrator 26, macOS Monterey

Bonjour, J'utilise Illustrator pour construire des étiquettes de produits.1 zone de texte (créée très simplement via l'outil texte T, ou bien curviligne) devient, une fois le fichier enregistré, fermé puis rouvert ultérieurement, plusieurs zones de texte captif.Cela scinde ma zone de texte initiale en plusieurs lignes isolées, voire mots isolés. Si je souhaite par exemple agrandir la zone de texte d'une ligne ou un mot, cela agrandit aussi le texte, qui s'étire sans homothétie (comme s'il était presque "vectorisé", mais ce n'est pas une forme, cela reste du texte car je peux toujours écrire dans la zone et mettre en surbrillance le texte). Je pense que cette option n'a rien à voir avec mon problème mais je tiens à préciser que dans Edition > Préférences > Texte > "Ajuster automatiquement le nouveau texte captif" est décochée. D'une manière plus générale, ce phénomène se produit aussi lorsque je récupère des fichiers Illustrator d'autres utilisateurs.&n

Hi, since yesterday, when I launched Illustrator, its say Illustrator is running in safe mode and has disabled the KeyboardShortcuts.aip plugin. Said the plugin must be re-installed or updated. I tried restarting the Mac but it gives me the same issue. illustrator keeps crashing randomly without any reason, the ai window crashes and I have to quit it. when I re open it doesnt load until i quit it again and then no backups work. it's just incredibly frustrating..  and the customer service didn't help he removed cashes or i dont know what and after 4 days the same issue was back even worse and with no backup. such a terrible company I hate adobe. I am having this issue for more than a year or even more. macbook pro 2021. if anyone could help please do.

What's this all about? 

All was normal until I installed new materials. I already deleted those materials, uninstalled and reinstalled, using the cleaning tool, and nothing. I tried removing heavy materials, and nothing. When removed the "missing" files, I could open the materials panel but couldn't use any. I have 16 RAM and Intel i5 multicore. So everything on my computer looks okay.
