I would like to report a recurring issue that affects professional workflows involving the latest version of Adobe Illustrator on Windows.Context / Use caseSome of us intentionally keep Adobe apps fully up to date, while also relying on copy–paste via clipboard from Illustrator into LightBurn (laser-cutting software) in order to avoid unnecessary SVG exports that slow down production workflows. The Layers panel displays thumbnails incorrectly. There are two main issues:1. The selected layer in the panel doesn't match the selected element in the document. To fix this, you need to change the pane properties (size) each time.2. The thumbnails look like the attached preview. 

Hi,Does anybody know how to paste an object into the perspective grid?Just to be more clear, I know how draw objects from scratch that will snap into the grid (Perspective Grid, there is a tool for that SHIFT+P) , but I have no idea how to copy and paste an existing object into the perspective grid so it snaps to it and act as any other object would normally do after drawing it by using the perspective grid.Your help much appreciated.Thanks

Like the title says, This seems to be happening randomly, and frequently.I will be working in my document, drawing new shapes, adjusting fills, etc. (design stuff)And when I go to change a text element, it's been duplicated (in place, directly on top of the original text field) and converted to curves.I have gone through the tedious process of manually deleting these duplicated layers hundreds of times. It just keeps happening.I have restarted my macbook pro.I have been saving as .aiMy adobe illustrator is up to date.

Hello! I have an issue with patterns in Illustrator - I can't resize patterns within a filled shape (preferences 'transform pattern tiles' is ticked). If I resize the whole shape using the bounding box corners, the pattern will change while actively changing the scale, but when I release, the pattern pings back to the original size.If I use the transform scale option, sometimes it works! But other times when the dialog box is open, the scale of the pattern changes in preview, but once I click okay, it pings back to the original scale. I hope this is clear and makes sense. Does anyone know if there is a bug? It's disrupting my workflow.

I think I’ve finally narrowed this down!I’ll cut to the chase:• Custom Action #1:  Transform Panel > Flip Horizontal• Custom Action #2: Transform Panel > Flip VerticalTriggering Actions #1 or #2 with the play button in the Actions Panel - or a hotkey linked to the action - is successful if:• The Transform Panel is open in a Panel and is the Active Tab• The Transform Panel is completely closed (triggering the actions then open the Panel floating somewhere in the workspace)Triggering Actions #1 or #2 with instantly cause Illustrator (30.2.1) to CRASH if:• The Transform Panel is present in a Panel in the workspace, but is not the Active Tab Whew!That’s a load of frustration off my mind!My Fix: I now just keep the Transform Window open in its own small Panel all the time. I never use it anyways, and would prefer to just keep it closed, but it’s annoying to have it pop up every time I flip an object, so keeping it stuffed quietly in the corner is the next best thing.

Hi, I’m working on a surface pattern tile and I tried to copy and paste in back with no fill and no stroke a bounding box.  It keeps giving me borders on my repeating pattern.  I’ve also opened the appearance panel to check my layers and do not see anything applied?  I feel I’ve googled as much as I could and I really want to figure this out.  Please help.  Here’s a screen shot of my workspace. My pattern is on the left and the swatch/repeating pattern is on the right.  Thanks.  

I want to make the elements/symbols inside the cards editableI created a ton of symbols and “nested” other symbols inside.I’ve create symbols for the suits, values, cards etcSo for example here we have:Flop contains > Card Master x 3Card Master contains > Spade x 2 and “Card Value  Anyways ideally I’d like to somehow create editable variants so I can replace suits and values etc. Something similar to what you can do in Figma etc Is this possible in Illustrator? Do I need a plug-in or script?

Oi, tudo bem?Estou tendo um problema para carregar planilha CSV no illustrator para utilizar a função de dados variáveis. Fiz tudo de acordo com a página oficial da Adobe (https://helpx.adobe.com/br/illustrator/using/data-driven-graphics-templates-variables.html) e salvei o arquivo certinho, mas dá o erro "A biblioteca de dados variáveis de entrada é inválida". O curioso é que notei que sempre que o arquivo tem mais de uma coluna, dá esse erro. Tentei deletar colunas e deixar só com uma, e o arquivo vai normalmente.  Alguém já passou por isso? Alguma dica de como resolver? Preciso fazer mais de 5 mil arquivos e preciso muito que minha planilha sincronize rsrsrs 

Is Illustrator v30.1 on macOS actually usable right now?Why is the jumping bug back again?On a MacBook Pro (and I reasonably assume other MacBooks as well), when I move an object using three-finger drag, the moment I release it, the object randomly jumps to another position — with no warning and no logical pattern. I have issue when working with shapes and lines, when zooming-in it appears as there is extra or expanded fill out of the drawn path, and it rigs the overall shape/element I’m designing (such as: shapes, forms, outlined letters etc.)I attached a screenshot as an exampleI’m using Adobe Illustrator 30.0

Hi everyone :)I’ve been trying to find a solution to this problem for a while, but haven’t been able to resolve it. I need to create a clipping mask of a photographic image (currently a png) that has a transparent background. For example, I need to create a clipping mask of the cat image, that is detailed enough to capture the hair etc.  So far I have achieved something close to what I need by image tracing the png image and then creating a clipping mask from that.  This shows what I’ve achieve so far, with the clipping mask overlayed on the png image.  Ideally I want to achieve something that has a degree of transparency in the clipping mask. For example, I need to achieve something similar to this below:   Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

I have a multi-artboard file that has two images placed and then clipped multiple times in the file. I saved and closed the file last night. When I opened it this morning, the placed images were HUGE, like too big to fit on the artboard, and no where near where they should have been. I basically had to rebuild, thank goodness I have a PDF to refer to for positioning. Ai 30.1, Mac OS 26.2.Screen shot shows the layers with one of the images selected so you can see where it is on the art board, and its size. It’s supposed to be showing in a box in the middle of the 2nd largest artboard. This compostion is placed in the file multiple times. They all behave the same.So far it’s only happening with this one file.Any thoughts on why this happens and how to fix it? Thanks.

Hi Adobe Community, I'm encountering a perplexing issue with Adobe Illustrator. When I open a file, it briefly shows the contents for a split second, but then everything on the canvas disappears, leaving only a plain background. Despite this, I can still see all my layers and their contents in the layers panel, but no artwork is visible on the actual canvas. I've tried installing different versions of Illustrator, but the problem persists. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any advice on how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Ok so i'm pretty new to the program, the guides have been working but have suddenly stopped.I can see the dotted lines when i pull from the ruler but when i release they don't show and disappear.The layer is unlocked, i have smart guides ticked, i've checked and i'm not hiding guides, my colour is set to cyan.So what am i doing wrong.thanks in advance

Is anyone else having trouble with Illustrator's Character panel? When you search for a font, it won't let you select it with the cursor, and when you click, the panel closes. Let me know if there is any way to correct this

Issue Summary:We're experiencing a severe color shift issue when embedding transparent PNGs with Adobe RGB color profiles in Illustrator. This began recently and did not occur in previous versions. The same images look correct in Photoshop and when linked in Illustrator, but shift colors significantly when embedded — especially affecting skin tones and blues/purples. Key Details:Our team uses thousands of transparent PNGs daily across our product catalog.We've experienced historical color issues with untagged PNGs, which we resolved last year by saving all assets via Photoshop's "Export As" to retain an embedded RGB profile (either sRGB or Adobe RGB).Until recently, both sRGB and Adobe RGB PNGs embedded without issue. Current Problem (as of Sept 2025):PNGs with Adobe RGB profiles now shift color when embedded in Illustrator.PNGs with sRGB profiles do not shift when embedded.Strangely, previously-problematic untagged PNGs (no profile) now embed without color shifting.The color

It is years I'm wondering why sometimes the text (expecially punctuations) ends up outside the text box. Does anyone have a solution to fix it? It doesn't seems to be a problem of optical margin.Here a screenshot of my issue 

I thought this was "Cavalier" font, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help?  

In Illustrator when zooming in using the ctrl Mouse scroll zoom Illustrator becomes super laggy and clunky (even if there is a simple shape on the artboard), I think I may have found the issue being my resolution and refresh rate?  Does anyone know if there is a way around this to make zooming smoother? My PC info is below. Monitor: Pro Art 2050 x 1440 at 100hzGPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.60 GHzInstalled RAM: 16.0 GB Thank You!
