Hi there,I have a rectangular vector file in ai or pdf format and I'd like to apply a distortion to it on the Y axis, but in a non-linear way, following either a grid or ideally a mathematical formula.Indeed, the stretching becomes more and more important towards the bottom of the layout.Is it possible to do this kind of distortion in Illustrator?If that is possible can I also apply that on a non vectorised text?Thanks in advance,

Hi,  I made 2 scripts that used to work great, but no longer are. Any advice? This is what I've tried thus far to no avail:Tried in Ai 2021 and 2022checked the file sharing permissions and made them read and write accessible to me and other people.copied them to my desktop to see if those would workrestarted my computer Script 1 takes a csv file with RGB info and loads the colors as swatches. When it works, it tells me to select a CSV file before creating the swatches.Script 2 takes swatches and make them into little rectangle with the color name on it and the RGB values. 

how can i know where is store the AIDictionaries within the PDF files?

(On the latest Illustrator via Adobe CC) I've noticed in the last month that Illustrator will constantly crash any time I copy something to my clipboard. At first it seemed to only happen with complex vectors or within complex files, but now it seems to be more random - even crashing when just copying text. I've churned through all the posts and done things like deselect the "Include SVG Code" in the Clipboard Handling of the settings...but no luck. My only solution (for now) is to Option+Drag the items over from open file to another to prevent the Ctrl+C crashing. Attaching the first bit of the error report, in case that helps.

Hi. So it doesn't matter when I worked on RGB or CMYK mode,the color (and also the code of course) gradually change by itself.The color keeps changing if I re-open the file even the color mode or settings remain the same. As you can see, the colors on the top is my original color but it turns faded/darker at the bottom. Help? anyone?Thank you 🙂

Illustrator was updated sometime overnight and today, I went to open an Illustrator file, that worked yesterday - and all I see now is a white screen.Not sure what's going on, so I rebooted, checked for any additional updates, and created a new Illustrator file, and I can still only see a white screen. I've tried all the Screen Modes, still a white art, no artwork. The artwork is visible in the Layers panel, but no artwork actually shows up on within an work art to be edited. Anyone else, have this problem? Where you able to solve it? What did you do? 

I]m running the beta, and it runs so jittery, that it]s unusable. Even mouse movement is stop-and-go, stop-and-go, stop-and-go, stop-and-go.... etc... EVEN during the loading splash screen. As soon as I Alt-Tab out of the program, everything is fine. Specs:Windows 11 AMD Ryzen 7 5700X32GB RAMAMD Radeon RX 7700 XT

I am using the 'prompt' function as part of a much larger UI to allow installing of requisite pieces of code and actions to a users Mac. The prompt is for inputting a password, so only certain users are able to install the required elements. Prompts by default are not set to no echo, so was wondering if anyone knew a way to alter, upon user input, to no echo to hide the input password (as per the screeenshot)?I can always write a UI pop up dialogue window that is no echo but just wanted to know if the above is possible at all.Thanks in advance.

Ich nutze eine lizenzierte Adobe Creative Suite 6 auf Mac OS 10.14.6 in einer VM Parallels auf Mac OS 14.5 Sonoma. Ebenfalls habe ich die CS6 auf einem Zweitrechner mit nativem Mac OS 10.14.6 Mojave installiert. Letzteres läuft anstandslos, bei ersterem stürzen AI, Acrobat und ID kurz nach jedem Start sofort ab. Nur PS läuft reibungslos. Ich gehe nun davon aus, dass die CS6 sich mit einer virtuellen Maschine nicht verträgt? Wie ist Adobes Meinung dazu?

Hi,would highly appreciate the help, was not able to find any relevant topic. I guess I'm missing something obvious.ProblemI created a file in RGB, then swtiched to CMYK and started using Pantone Solid Coated which are required by the printing house.The problem is that although Document Color Mode is CMYK, my exports in JPG look different. They are shifted towards grey. PNG exports, on the other hand, look exactly as on my working space. I assume JPG shows true CMYK, while PNG doesn't and that means my working space somehow is not presenting true  CMYK colors.  What was triedI tried to copy my work to brand new file (CMYK from the start) and it didn't change it.I also tried setting workign space RGB: Monitor RGB and CMYK: Coated CRACoL 2006 (read online it should present more true colors in CMYK). None of it worked.I checked on different computer and monitor the same file and the problem was exactly the same.I read that maybe it has to do with swatches. Is Pantone Solid

I need to design a label for the outside of a cylinder and I have been unable to find anything that would get me there. The cylinder is real world and I need to be able to print a 2d label which will wrap around it without a seam. I have done something like this in Flash (i think). I have been assuming that it would be easy in Illustrator, and it doesn't seem all that complicated but I'm not getting anywhere. I recall a canvas on which an object that was dragged off the right side would begin appearing the opposite side as it disappeared on the right. Does anyone know what I'm looking for here?

Can you apply a freeform gradient over multiple shapes? I would like to apply a freeform gradient 2 shapes, but it doesn't seem to be possible.

Hallo zusammen,  ich arbeite noch nicht lange mit dem Illustrator. Ich habe Flyer bei "wir machen Druck" in A6 bestellt. Leider sind die Bilder darauf sehr verpixelt. Die Fotos sind hochauflösend (300 dpi) und auch in den Druckeinstellungen für die Druck-pdf habe ich ausgewählt, dass die Bilder in 300 dpi gespeichert werden sollen.  Mache ich irgendetwas falsch? Gibt es einen einfachen Trick? Kann es daran liegen, dass das Original-Bild in RGB gespeichert ist, ich es für den Druck aber in CMYK speichern muss?  Danke für eure Hilfe! Viele GrüßeAnja

i tried to import a library to my librarys panel, and i got an error message "the library you're trying to import did'nt work. The file might be corrupted." but im sure it isnt.so then i tried as a workaround to load them using windows>swatch libraries>other library, dragging and dropping into my swatches panel and choosing the "add selected Swatches and Color Groups to my current library."  but my library panel froze and only worked when i restarted illustrator.is there a way to import my library directly into the library panel, or is there a workaround that will do it?Please help!!😔Thanks!

Everytime I open a cloud document and close it, illustrator auto saves it on closing. Sometimes, I've opened a file and messed around. I don't want the changes saving, but illustrator keeps doing it and sometimes I lose things I don't want losing. How do I turn off this feature?

Hello All, I have recently updated to Creative Cloud 2020 for Illustrator and I keep having the same issue.  I can not export any of my ai files to a png or jpg. This is becoming an annoying issue and I regret doing the update. Has anyone has this issue and found a resolution?   Thank you,    {Renamed by MOD}
