Questions

If I decide to add more lines/ shapes to an illustration after using the live paint tool and obviously setting the pen fill to none all of my previous color gets deleted. Not mentioned anywhere on the internet. 

The Adobe Illustrator app works smooth until the system goes to sleep and when the system awake the app is completely unresponsive. None of the clicks work anywhere, I have to force quit the app and repoen it and only then it works fine again. But sometimes when I don't save a file I lose all the effort. The recover option never works, just spoils the work instead so that's never useful. I never faced this issue of unresponsive illustrator until recently. It started just a couple of months ago after the latest updates.

Can Someone help!Illustrator 2024,  angles are not consistent. If I draw a box, 50mm wide by 25mm high then lock the box so it won't move around. If then draw a line diagonally from the box's bottom left corner to top right corner, Illustrator's tool tip tells me the angle is 26 degrees. But here's the thing - if I discard the diagonal line and instead draw out a  horizonal line, roughly 70mm in length and rotate it to 26 degrees (using Object - Transform - Rotate ), and move the line into the box, it won't bisect the bottom left and top right corner of the box, as the previous line did. But both lines are 26 degrees, or so Illustrator has told me. If I compare the two diagonal lines, the one I discarded and the new one I made, and place them one on top of the other, I can see that they are not quite the same angle. So what is going on? I'm working on a map with hundreds of labels, each associated with a point location, which are small circles.    Labels are positioned to the left of the circles, with the last letter touching the circle.  Client needs  to be be able to edit the text and/or it's point size.  Since the text is anchored on the left, this shifts the text away from or on top of its associated circle.  Result is utter confusion, labels losing their visual link to their circles.These circles and labels are created in GIS software, which will only create left-justified text.  I export the GIS circles & labels to svg file and then open that in Illsutrator.  So I'm looking for a workaround or script to reverse the justification en masse.   Process or script would be: User manually selects some or all of the type on a single layer. For each selected text object:    if object is left-justified:        get length of

Saludos a la comunidad Hace varios meses vengo presentando un problema con la "Exportación de Pantallas " de Illustrator. Debido a qué cuando hago la exportación, las piezas terminan con un píxel de más. Es decir, sí la mesa de trabajo mode 1000x1000 al expotarlo queda 1000x1001px. Solo pasa con la exportación de pantallas. Intenté con los otros métodos de exportar y si conserva las medida originales.

Processor is 2.2GHz with Intel Core i7 and I have 16GB of RAM.Often when using Illustrator (in fact very often, after around 50% of my actions), objects and artwork will be "cut off" and disappear from view, seemingly invisible. This most commonly occurs when I'm zoomed in on an object or group, perform some action, and then zoom out again; when I zoom out, any object that was outside the boundaries of my screen will become invisible.An example:I have a few groups of objects scattered around my artboard. I zoom in on one group, leaving the other groups partially out of view. I isolate my intended group, and make some adjustments to the objects in that group. I then exit isolation mode for that group, and zoom out.Now any objects that were outside of the boundaries of my screen when zoomed in are not showing. I frequently export SVG's from Illustrator using `save as` and SVG. Sometimes, this results in a clean SVG and sometimes it results in a giant `<metadata><c2pa:manifest xmlns:c2pa="http://c2pa.org/manifest">` block that's easily ten times as big as the actual SVG data. Does anyone know why this is sometimes included? I have created two test Illustrator files that are essentially identical. Buenas!Problemas. Es laexportacion. Illustrator continues to be a pain in my ass. I've tried exporting a comic I've made (left), but it keeps coming out look like it does on the right. The transparent layer on the flag keeps popping up through the other layers no matter how I try to export it. Please, for the love of everything, what do I do!?

After clicking on the icon of AI the app makes all the opening routine but, in the end, the screen remains black, just with the menu on top, but the menu doesn´t work . 

Hello. I have a problem with a font. I know that it has bothCyrillic and Latin symbols but when I install it and type smth in Illustrator it has only Latin symbols. Cyrillic ones are shown as 'no glyph'. It shows all symbols correctly on other computers (Windows 10). Photoshop and Word doesn't show Cyrillic as well. Please, help me fix this problem.

Hi;I have a problem visualizing illustrator PDFs with Microsot Edge.When I make a clipping mask from an interactive painting shape, part of the painting shape appears at other pages when I export to PDF and I visualize it with Microsot Edge or Outook.Thanks in advance.

HiI have an Illustrator file made in an older version (maybe 4-5 years back in time).I started working on it again in the 2023 version of Illustrator. In the file I had made a lot of paintbrush lines. They were curved and automatically it appeared a nice effect: The thickness of the lines differed throughout the line. (Calligraphy effect).When I started to work with the file in 2023 version, I saw that the same type of lines get much less variation in thickness. Even the lines I had allready made in the older version, changed, if I edited them in some way. (For instance I changed the color of some lines, and it made them loose the original variation in thickness!). If I make a copy of one of these lines and paste it, the copy is also different from the original. What is happening? Doesn't this effect exist in newer versions? I see a small difference in thickness, but much less. How can I keep my original lines and at the same time be able to edit the color or the length? How can I

I an trying to export a simple line drawing from Illustrator as a DXF file to use in my quilting machine's software ( Gammill's Creative Studio ) I can import other DXF files into the Gammill software easily, even some very old ones, but nothing I create in Illustrator will import. Is there a trick?

I'm trying to color the inside of a shape in Adobe Illustrator. I drew an oval - a black outline on white paper - and I took a picture in Adobe Capture and saved it in a library. I then opened it in Adobe Illustrator. I use either the select tool or the direct select tool. I get a series of circles along the lines of the object. When I double-click the solid square on the Fill and Stroke tool, it colors the lines of the object.What am I doing wrong? I feel like I don't know how to select correctly. I've always used PC's and Microsoft... maybe I'm not doing the selecting correctly here?

Freehand had the ability to suck in all handles via a menu command or palette selection -- it's been so long I forget. I occasionally have the desire to do that, and today looked more thoroughly than in the past to find that "tool." To no avail. Does it not exist, or have I not looked hard enough?

  As you can see there is no ungrouping under properties, i am not sure how to ungroup it so i can start editing and being able to color it as well. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated 🙂 thank you so much in advance! 

Hello,I am using a script to export artboards from al multi-artboard file to single artboard files with the following code. Unfortunately I have issues with the way Illustrator names them. I use "/.ai" as the Filename because I only need the Artboardnames as the filenames.
