Bonjour,Est-il possible de faire une modification qui se répercute sur tous les fichiers ouverts ?Par exemple, remplacer un chiffre par un autre ou changer la couleur d'un trait...À noter que j'utilise un template inclus dans mes fichiers mais ce n'est pas dans ce fichier que j'ai besoin de faire les corrections (et je n'ai pas de baguette magique !)Merci d'avance

Hola.Desde hace un tiempo, cada vez que creo un documento nuevo me aparece un mensaje que dice textualmente:"Los perfiles de color actuales respetan los perfiles CMYK del contenido enlazado pero, cuando se creó este documento, los perfiles se definieron para ignorarlos".Primero, no sé a qué se refiere y segundo, ¿cómo puedo evitarlo?¿Alguien puede ayudarme?Gracias

This is just absurd. There is absolutely no way to set a default font size/type in Illustrator.I've tried the workarounds with document templates, wasted 20 minutes, does not work.Each time I'm opening a new document its always tiny 12pt Myriad!!!How come Adobe is introducing AI features into the app, while FOR ALMOST 4 DECADES this app is unable to handle such a basic and obvious task!

Hello,I'm trying to write a script that gets the silhouettes of shapes on the current layer, then create a new layer that has an opacity mask revealing just those silhouette shapes so that we can only draw within those shapes on the new layer.It is possible to create an opacity mask via actions, which can be scripted, but I didn't find a way to paste or move the shapes into the opacity mask.Is that possible via scripting?

Hi, I’m working in Illustrator (version 30.0) on an editable PDF file. I’ve noticed that when I place another PDF inside it, such as a QR code in PDF format, it doesn’t appear in the document preview, nor does it show up when the file is opened in Adobe Acrobat. This issue occurs with PDFs saved with compatibility from Acrobat 5 up to Acrobat 8. When I lower the compatibility to Acrobat 4 (PDF 1.3), the problem is solved. This problem is not happening with every PDF I tested, but it does occur with several of them. If I embed the QR code instead of placing it as a linked file, it works, but I would prefer to keep the PDF placed as a link. I also performed the same test in InDesign using the exact same PDF files, and this issue did not occur. Everything displays correctly in the layout, exports without problems and appears normally in Adobe Acrobat, regardless of the PDF compatibility version. I would really appreciate it if this inconsistency in Illustrator could be addr

Is it possible to control, where the new dialogue window/alert of a custom script will appear on the screen when triggered? I have a new 4k monitor + 2nd smaller one. I use illustrator in the 4k monitor. All the alerts appear off-centered of the screen and the scripts that have a dialogue window open in the other monitor. Is there a way to control, where the new windows appear? Moving them by hand does not work or do anything.I can somehow control it when changing the Main display option in windows 11 settings, but they still appear in random places on the screen. Hello Everyone,Is there a way to detect if we are currently editing an opacity mask in Illustrator?I need to detect that in order to create functions to switch colors between white and black while we are in an opacity mask, to get back to regular editing (if possible), to select gradients that go from pure black to pure white if we are editing an opacity mask...

i made a file in illustator- it has about 30 pages- when i try to ope if it opens but sthes no artwork anymore- if i try to open in preview its gives be this message - what can i do to get the file back in working condition?  

After 10 years happily on a 2015 iMac running Monterey 12.7.6, I've bit the bullet and bought a new iMac running Sequoia 15.7.2. I'd be grateful for some advice on which Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat versions will suffer the fewest hiccups on this OS. It'll be hard enough to master the operating system, and I expect quite a few new and unfamiliar features once in the programs. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Hi all, Since the beginning of this week, I have not been able to launch Pantone Connect. It will not even bring me up to the login page. It just keeps hanging in the loading screen. Does anybody has the same issue and can you please explain to me how to solve it? I have recently uninstalled and installed Adobe Illustrator as well as Pantone Connect but nothing seems to work.  Thanks in advance 🙂 

Im wondering if there is a solution for this. I like to use the intertwine tool with strokes and would love to be able to expand the whole shape -> apply the divide tool -> select same colour -> delete. So this way I can remove my strokes and have negative space. Right now when you expand an intertwined shape it makes a bunch of clipping masks that are annoying to work around. If I try using just the divide tool on the intertwined object it releases the whole thing. The shape builder tool tends to make my program crash so im trying not to ever use that. Please let me know if anyone found a good way around this

Hace meses estoy teniendo este problema, probé con muchas versiones, algunas parecen ser más estables que otras, pero al fin y al cabo, el problema aparece una y otra vez, por lo que interpreto que el problema no es por las tipografías sino por el software, que carece se mantenimientos a esta altura de la era humana, no puede ser que cobrando fortunas de membresías, tengamos que lidiar con estos errores una y otra vez, tornando frustrante un trabajo que debería ser un placer.No hay manera de detectar el problema, envié reportes decenas de veces al equipo Adobe, y parece ser que mi mensaje va a parar a saturno, porque nadie responde y los problemas persisten continuamente.A alguien más le pasa?  Siento que me están robando el dinero de una manera descarada.

Can we get a Preflight Panel in Illustrator? More and more designs are being output for production from Illustrator. It would be a tremendous benefit to have a preflight panel (as in InDesign) that allows for checks on various print specifications. As of now, it can be a tedious task. It would be nice to be confident I'm passing print ready files to our vendors. Consider it! Steve G

Hi, we have developed a CEP extension that interacts with our application called PLM: is a web application running in a standard browser. The .zxp is signed and overall works fine.  The extension has a minimum size (600px in height and 400px in width) specified in the manifest.If the panel is undocked it won't be possible to shrink it under its minimum size as expected.But when the panel is docked we have experienced an interesting issue: if you resize the main Illustrator window so that the side panel is smaller than the minimum size of the extension, it is blanked out.Then if you enlarge again the window the PLM extension appears. But if before enlarging you switch between different Adobe panels it won't appear and afterwards you need to change panel again to have it back. Have you ever had the chance to observe this case? Do you think it is an intended behaviour or is it a bug?

Hello everyone, We've been experiencing the following problem with Adobe Illustrator for the past days:After opening an existing document, some colors are displayed incorrectly. For example, a spot color (which consists of 100% magenta) suddenly appears as a “dirty black.” This doesn’t happen only with the same spot color, but with different spot colors as well. In addition, white (0/0/0/0) is also displayed as “dirty black.”In some other documents, the file appears empty after opening, and you only see the actual content when switching to outline view. We do not have overprint preview or similar options turned on. If I change the file extension from .ai to .pdf and open it in Acrobat, I can see the content again. However, the colors also appear as “dirty black” in Acrobat instead of, for example, magenta. The problem does not occur for all employees on the same document, even though we are all working with Illustrator 29.8.2 (it also happens with version 29.1, for example).

I have the font Microsoft JhengHei, which is a Windows font. I have the font in FontExplorer and it is activated. The font is available in other programs like Word and Pages but does not show in Illustrator. The font file itself is a .ttf file.   How to I make the font available in Illustrator?  

The artboard dimensions have disappeared from the top panel.

I used to have the rectangle app on my Macbook Air. Im not sure if that has anything to do with why it is crashing now given that I have since deleted it but the app was known to have interactions with illustrator. However, Illustrator now is super buggy on my macbook. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app multiple times however it still won't open at all.

All my colours inside illustrator are appearing much much duller than the same file exported to Acrobat, loaded into After Effects or viewed in any other programme and I'm the only person in my workplace who is having this issue. I've double triple checked all my colour settings and it is not a CMYK/RGB issue.Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know how to fix it? Is it a bug in my illustrator? See below for a comparison in Illustrator and in Acrobat: Please any help would be appreciated.  

hello, I would really like to ask for help here. This has happened to me multiple times now. I've saved everything within illustrator, packaged and all but when I open a slightly more condensed file its constantly asking me to relink my images - and it won't automatically link the rest when it's all from the same folder.  On top of that the visuals won't even show up within the file - why is this happening? Thank you!

Hi everyone,I work for a print company and we’re experiencing a serious issue that has only started happening in the last couple of months, despite using the exact same workflow for years without problems. Our Setup / WorkflowWe design in Adobe IllustratorWe send the AI file directly into Agfa Asanti (RIP software)Asanti sends the job to our printerAll software is fully up to date (Illustrator, Asanti, OS) The IssueWhen we load an Illustrator file into Asanti, some artwork elements randomly shift position normally being images including PNG, JPG and TIFFS but all varying from different file sizes.The original AI file is perfectly correct and shows no issues.We have found to fix it we just need to resave the same Illustrator file again and re-import it and it's fine.This never used to happen. It’s now occurring sporadically but frequently enough to risk production errors, which is a major concern. QuestionsHas Illustrator changed anything recently in how it saves AI/

Hey all, Awhile back, when I upgraded my Illustrator, I found out that it no longer came with the Pantone colors. I dug around online for awhile to find the remedy, and was told you can either get a Pantone license or if you still have an old copy of Illustrator you can extract certain files from it and move it over into the new Illustrator. Well, I somehow found out how it was done and did just that, and "voila", I had my Pantone books back in Illustrator, albeit, they are older versions, but honestly, I'm okay with that, as the bulk of colors I use are still in the older books. So, I just recently upgraded my Illustrator again, and guess what? It wiped my old Pantone books out again and I no longer have them...again. I do still have the old Illustrator version to retrieve them from, but can't remember how to do it now. Can someone here coach me where the old files can be found in my old computer backup and where I need to place them again? Much appreciated!Thanks!
