 The four triangular holes are not expected; they just appear only when I export it. I don't know what to do to export something that does not have those holes.

Hi, Adobe community, I'm encountering a really strange export bug with my Illustrator project that I cannot shake off. I've created this little shape using the Spiral tool and the width tool and applied a gradient along the stroke. Pretty simple: I'm extremely happy with the result, but when I export it to PNG, the final result has these really nasty holes that I cannot get rid of: The number and severity of the holes relates to the physical pixel size of the object, and I cannot figure out a size that results in the holes disappearing. I've tried making the shape REALLY big (about a quarter of the maximum canvas size), REALLY small, and playing around with the export settings, but I cannot figure out the cause. This is what the spiral's geometry looks like when I activate the width tool: Is there anything else I can try to remedy the issue? Desde esta mañana, illustrator me da un problema que me impide trabajar. Tiene una latencia enorme entre el click (o cualquier imput de comando rápido de teclado) y la acción. Al clicar para seleccionar cualquier cosa tarda varios segundos en seleccionar. Si en ese proceso muevo el ratón, arrastra la pieza. Estoy ahora mismo editando tablas y mapas, y es imposible trabajar. Me pasa en Illustrator 25 pero en el 24 y el 23 he probado y pasa igual. No tengo plugins instalados. En PC con windows funciona sin problema, no da este problema. Por decirlo de algún modo, la acción se queda pegada. Por ejemplo, si pulso barra espaciadora para desplazar, la mano se queda bloqueada, tengo que volver a pulsar la barra espaciadora, no me activa ningún otro comando rápido hasta que la vuelvo a pulsar.  Esto no me había sucedido antes, llevo así desde esta mañana.

J'ai une cinquantaine de rond dont je veux ajouter un décalage extèrieure de 0,07 mm sur chacun des ronds. Le décalage ne se fait qu'à moitier car la plupart des ronds ne sont pas joints individuellement. Si je les sélectionne tous et que je les joints, ils sont tous mélangés ensemble. Comment joindre chaque rond individuellement sans le faire un par un ?

I’m currently working on a game app and want to use Claude to help with the ideas, UI, layouts, and possibly some of the coding, while using Adobe for the actual visual design and assets.I’m a little confused about the best workflow, though. Should I create the UI and game assets in Adobe first and then use Claude to help build them into the app, or should I use Claude to generate the basic structure and design ideas first and then refine everything in Adobe?If anyone has used Claude together with Adobe Illustrator for a game app project, I’d really appreciate some advice on how you approached the workflow and which Adobe tools you found most useful.

Hello! I’m still learning how to use Illustrator so apologies for any basic stuff I might miss. I’m trying to make an image similar to this (this was created with another software): As you can see, the rectangle with text is clipped into the bigger oval. Now, when I wanted to recreate the same clipping in Illustrator, the offset lines (inner straight and dotted lines) are now gone. I used the cut-draw inside-paste and get the result in rightI tried a workaround by creating a new shape over the existing one, but you can see there’s a hairline gap now… Is there any other way to make the intended result doable? The pathfinder methods to cut the rectangle also didn’t work.

This is getting ridiculous. It has gotten worse with every update. From version 30.1 it has constantly corrupted the save preview with any placed images. Even placing photoshop files does not work. The placed image will either be completely out of place or just will not show up in the preview unless you embed the image. Place the .AI file in Indesign? Nope, the image isn't there. You have to manually embed it every time which, besides being an annoying extra step, it just bloats the file size. I am also getting “there is not enough memory” errors when placing small photoshop files. I have reset the Illustrator preferences and that did not help. Please stop adding all kinds of useless features and get this program stabilized and reliable again.

Hi, I have a file where the vector is pixellated, the pixellation scales when resized. I can’t find how this is happening, it’s not a brush, FX, mask… It’s only this one file from this customer - I’d honestly love to know how this works/has happened to replicate it in future! (Or fix the issue in future) Thank you for your help in advance. 

Hey everyone, I’ve been using Illustrator for a while now, but recently it’s been getting super laggy even on simple files. I didn’t change anything major on my system, so I’m a bit confused what’s causing it. Has anyone else faced this or found a fix that actually works?

I have my account subscribed recently this month, a student subscription package. recently i made a couple of projects with my colleagues, for past few weeks i can access or edit our project. today i couldn’t access it at all, every time i try to open the project it says “couldn’t load projects, try again” is there anyway to resolve this? i’m in desperate need to access my projects, i have my deadline on going. thank you 

ベクターデータで、アイソメトリック手法（120度）で描かれたデータがあります。そこにイラスト追加で新しく描いてもらったのですが、角度が約150度で出来上がってきました。諸事情で書き直してもらうことはできません。この150度で描かれた形状を壊すことなく120度の角度にピタッと添わせることは可能でしょうか？自動変形ツールを使うと、奥と手前で角度が変わってしまったり、途中のパスで角度がおかしくなったりします。シアーツールを使用すると、一方の角度はうまくいっても、もう片方はおかしな角度になってしまって、使えません。ターンテーブルは、止めたいところで止められないので無理です。 角度調整するだけでも大変で、困っています。どなたかご教授願えれば幸いです。 作業環境MAC OS 15.7.2Illustrator 2026（30.3）※画像は120度で描かれたものが150度の角度に合わせたいとなっていますが、気にしないでください。

I recently opened a Illustrator file with some blend shapes. It triggered a pop up that says “The Document contains elements that are managed by plug-ins that are not currently available. You can delete or expand these elements but you cannot manipulate them in other ways. The missing plug-in is Adobe Path Blends.”The layer with blend shape appears as <Plug-in object> in my layers and its position is not the same as it's outline.  I also cannot move it.The I tried restarting my AI and reinstalling it but nothing fixed it. Does anyone have any experience solving this? 

I added a font on Adobe Font, called “CC Biff Bam Boom”, when I tried it in Illustrator, it looks slightly different, some letters even way to different, doesn’t look similar to the preview on adobe font, for instance, the letter R in the attached the screenshot here, I put the screenshot with the text on the Illustrator for comparison, can someone help me?

I’ll do my best to explain what I am trying to achieve…  I have a design that is black on white background.  I want to paste an image into the black areas. In photoshop I can put the design on one layer, and the image on another, then select all the black with the color range tool.  Then leaving the selection active, I change the active layer to the image, inverse the selection, then delete.  This leaves the image only where the black was… Is there a way to do this in illustrator (my “image” is already vectorized)?

Some projects contain a large number of linked images, and when files are shared between different computers, it can become difficult to know which images are missing or whether a linked image has been updated.Is there a reliable way to check all linked images in a document at once and identify: Missing links Links that have been modified The file location of each linked image Images that have been embedded instead of linked Is there a recommended workflow in Illustrator for managing linked images in larger projects without having to check each image individually?I’m particularly interested in a workflow that would make it easier to hand off Illustrator files between designers while keeping all linked assets organized.

Hello,“Repeat Tab” does not seem to do what it is supposed to. Text indent is 0. I set the first tab stop at 0.25in, then instead of getting tab stops every 0.25in (0.5, 0.75, 1, etc.), I get something else, including a tab before 0.25in. Is there something I am doing wrong or a workaround?This is for CS4.Thanks.

Hello,I am trying to convert a solid fill object (see attached image) into a single line.The reason I want to do this is so that I can make the solid fill object thinner.If it was a single line, this would be easy, because I could simply reduce the stroke of the line and have control over how thin the line was.Is this possible please without having to re-draw it.Thank you.

Hi, I've just updated to MacOs Tahoe 26. MacBook Air M2. I can't launch Illustrator. Reinstalling the app from Creative Cloud didn't work 😕😕 There's clearly some problem (the question mark thing). What can I do please? Thank you so much! 🙂

Spotlight is a high-speed search feature built into macOS. For example, with PDF files, when a search keyword is entered, Spotlight incrementally finds files containing that string within their contents and displays them in a list.However, with Illustrator files (.ai), Spotlight cannot detect text within the file, making it difficult to find the desired file.One workaround is to enable Create PDF Compatible File when saving and change the file extension to .pdf, which allows for full-text search as with a PDF. However, I’d like to achieve this without having to do that every time, while keeping the .ai extension. Is there a way to do this?Note: Adding the target UTI `com.adobe.illustrator.ai-image` to PDF.mdimporter’s Info.plist does not work.

Hi there, I used to use the eyedropper within the recolour artwork tool to select colours from anywhere on my artboard. Specifically as a textile designer I would need to match new artwork colours to old artwork colours so using the eye dropper tool for this in the recolour tool was the fastest way to change specific colours within my artwork. Adobe have since removed it in version 30.0 and its gone from older versions as well (29.8.2). Please adobe can you bring back the eyedropper within recolour artwork, or suggest a fast way around this.  Thanks

I’m attaching a few references. I know these examples are very geometric and were most likely constructed from scratch, but I’m trying to get a similar result from existing outlined letterforms.What I need is the actual middle line / skeleton / medial axis of each stroke, including rounded sections, so I can use that as the basis for consistent chiseled/beveled facets.For straight parts I can approximate it by blending between opposite edges, but curved sections are the problem, especially when the inner and outer curves have different anchor placement.Is there any reliable Illustrator method, script, or plugin that can extract this centerline from an outlined shape? I noticed all of the text in a project has a slight backward slant. This happened once before over the previous month. I can only attribute this to having been the result of resizing the Artboard without constrain proportions enabled and having the Scale artwork with Artboard option enabled, but not sure why that would skew anything. This bothers me - wondering how much previous work has this flaw that I missed…. Anyway, it doesn’t look like the in place text can be fixed… I’m not finding evidence of paths being affected, only text - has anyone experienced this or understand what is causing this, and if it only affects text?Selecting the text displays the character properties Changing any of the character properties has no affect on the selected text. Selecting text using the Type Tool has no affect either, and does not produce the typical cursor displayed when editing text.
