I downloaded the creative cloud to download adobe acrobat, photoshop, and illustrator. I could download everything except for illustrator. In the creative cloud it only gives me the option to download a mobile version or access via web, but I need the app downloaded. I have a 12 core, 16 gb ram, and 512 ssd. Everything is up to date. Laptop is the new microsoft copilot.

Hi, We are experiencing a problem with permission access to the Project folders and files. We have a team of 5 Creative Cloud users, and they are all invited to the Projects folders and files.  All users are under our org Creative Cloud teams account that I administer. All 5 users have access to edit the files.  The other 4 users can access the files without any issues.  1 of the users is unable to access the projects files, but everyone else can. They can see the files and folders under Projects in the Creative Cloud desktop or online app.  But if they try to open a file, they are seeing messages that they do not have access to the file.Oddly, if they use "Open in web" from Creative Cloud app they can open the files with AI beta online.  So they must have access, but it looks like some kind of problem with their desktop app or cloud app. I have checked the permissions for the 1 user and also tried removing and adding again th

I can not be the only one having font issues daily. I'll activate a font at fonts.adobe.com, it'll show up in my cloud, but not show up in Illustrator. Sometimes it does and works just fine but it doesn't work more often than not. The other issue is when I uninstall a font at fonts.adobe.com, but it still shows up in my cloud app. I've toggled activate/deactivate fonts TONS of times, plus uninstalled and reinstalled the font and it takes 6548941 tries before it works. It takes literal HOURS before I can move forward. I have the same font issue after restarting my computer too. It's fonts that I use on the daily like Montseratt, Lato, Roboto, Forma DJR Display, Oswald, etc. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone 🙂 I've been struggling with this for weeks and weeks. I want to place raster images (mostly JPEG or PNG) in Ai, auto trace them, then discard the original image and modify the vector trace for output to SVG. I am using Image Trace > Expand. But I cannot find the original image I placed to delete it. I have tried all the YouTube tricks such as using the Direct Selection to try to grab white space then Select > Same > Color, ungrouping everything, using Ignore White on the trace, but nothing works. I feel like I am missing a key concept here.  I have resorted to placing the image, creating a new layer, then manually tracing the image on the first layer with the pen tool. Then I delete the first layer with the raster image. Works great and I understand what I am doing here, but it is labour intensive and I think I should be able to use the auto trace feature instead. No matter what I select, click on, group or ungroup, I cannot see or understand

Hello All!Happy Friday! Does anyone know how to snap the control (otions) bar back in it's place? I've somehow managed to sepatate it from the 'mains' and cannot figure out how to bring it back to where it belongs - very annoying 😕😕Screen below illustrates the predicament 😕😕 

Hi everyone,I tried to upgrade Illustrator on a Mac Studio 2023 with Sequoia 15.6, from v29.8.1 to the latest v30.0, but immediately after the splash screen, a window appeared saying "Plug-in issues detected." It warned me that the program will run in protected mode and that the "DxfDwgFileFormat.aip" plug-in had been disabled. The suggestions advised me to update or install it, indicating the folder.I searched, but I couldn't find anything with that name (even in hidden folders), and I don't seem to have installed any plugins, not even third-party ones. The plugins folder is empty.I also tried deleting the preferences, but nothing changed.I've currently uninstalled v30.0 and downloaded 29.8.3, which doesn't have any issues, but I'd like to understand what's wrong. This is also because on another computer with the same configuration (a MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.6), installing v30.0 didn't cause any problems or errors.Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

COnstantly having problem with text display in Illustrator Beta version on Microsoft laptop with Copilot.Text appears laying down what converred to curves - Does not matter which font used. I can't run normal Illustrator on Copilot Laptop - absolutely shocked by it as I just upgraded my laptop  

I've been using the latest version of Illustrator for a full day now on files that were completely wrecked by the font-substitution bug in any version from 29.5 onward. There have been no major issues, and I've been able to process files normally with no crashes. Hopefully, I'm not jinxing anything by saying that Illustrator seems to be back to normal, at least for the time being.

Hello, I had a set of stencils that are for custom baffles. (I no longer have access to them)  I scanned the stencils using a large format scanner and then vectored them in illustrator and exported them in DXF with the idea that it would be simple for a machine shop to use it to cut the sheet metal with a CNC.  I have had 2 different shops tell me they can't use the files as is, as there are no dimensions.  I've downloaded a trial of Hotdoor CADtools to include the dimensions, but I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to this stuff and it's honestly too expansive of a subject for me to try and learn in a short time frame for this one project.  Can someone please tell me what I need to do so they can be cut on a CNC?  Or at least recommend a specific tutorial? Would it be easier to do using the original PDF scan or from the vector files I've already created? ThanksThanks

Since the latest update, the way artboard numbers are displayed in documents with many pages has changed — and unfortunately, it's now much worse. The numbers are no longer clearly visible, they overlap with previous pages, and it's hard to tell which page is which. Please revert this to the previous behavior, where the numbering was clear and easy to read.

Any way to resize for different object layouts and canvas sizes. Also create differnt file types with the selected object.  Also another way to upload fonts- as inspiration for the retype tool to generate Rithika Repakula- Max 2025

Travaillant souvent dans des environnements calmes, ce son est devenu particulièrement insupportable. J’ai déjà fait vérifier la machine à l’Apple Store : aucun défaut matériel détecté. Le technicien m’a confirmé que le bruit semblait venir de composants internes, possiblement liés à la charge graphique ou énergétique. Le phénomène se produit sur tous les logiciels Adobe sans exception.Je voulais savoir si d’autres utilisateurs rencontraient le même problème, ou si une solution ou un contournement a pu être trouvé de votre côté.&

I'm looking for a script that would allow me to Reorder illustrator artboard with there position.i have 300 files each file with 80 artboards.the order of these 80 artboards in the Artboard window like this [1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12-13.....]but in the Drawing area, their position is like this [1-2-8-4-12-77-25-14-3-5-80-34......] So I want to be in the same order of the artboards compared to their position  

Hi everyone,I’m developing an extension for Adobe Illustrator that should execute a local .exe file on Windows, passing a few folder paths as arguments.What I currently do manually in the Windows command prompt (cmd) is:programname.exe "C:\FolderA\..." "C:\FolderB\..."where:the executable name is fixed,both folder paths (A and B) are predefined and always related to the currently opened Illustrator file.I’d like to automate this inside an extension panel — so that with a single click, the panel retrieves the correct paths and launches the .exe with those arguments.I know that with CEP extensions (with Node.js enabled) it used to be possible to call external programs using child_process.exec().However, it seems that Illustrator 2025 no longer supports CEP, and UXP extensions are sandboxed and can’t execute external processes.Could someone please confirm:Is there any current way to run a .exe file from an Illustrator 2025 extension (CEP or UXP)?If not, does Adobe plan to provide any offi

I need help recreating the abstract ciclre background patter, Client wants it exactly the same... any ideas on how I can go about recreating it?

I have an unusual one here. I'm trying to reproduce something like the image below for laser engraving. What I want is to have separate objects (or images) for each colour, but with the overlapping sections removed. This is so that when I engrave the red starburst, it will only engrave the red bits where it's not overlapped by the yellow, or green or whatever. This is so I can then use coloured powders to melt into it and get a multi-coloured effect. Is this possible in illustrator? I assume it must be, but I'm not sure how! ThanksChris

Is there a way a way to add Graphic Styles from Illustrator into an Adobe CC Library to share across a team? And if not, it would be great to have this functionality!

When Illustrator has been open for a long time, sometimes, when I try to open a new blank file, it just doesn't do anything. I have to close out of Illustrator and reboot. Sometimes I have to reset preferences and I lose my configurations.  Carly Sertic

We're missing something in the Object-Transform-Move panel, and I don't know if it would be difficult to add it. This option has been available in Corel Draw since very early versions, but Illustrator consistently misses it. You can see the sample panel attached. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Some of our users are getting the following error message while trying to update artworks on their MAC with Adobe Illustrator 2025 Version 29.8.2 (64-bit)They have it very often they said. Whenever they then restart the AI and log in again then it will work for a time being but then happens again.Does someone maybe know the error message and can tell us how we can solve it?  Thank you very much in advance.Best regards,Dunja

When exporting for screens, it adds an extra pixel!!!!!

I will start by saying I clasify myself as a pro illustrator, I've weathered all the changes since illustrator took over Aldus Freehand, so please don't offer simple fixes for this problem. It is clearly a 2025 issue, I am suggesting serious workflow bug to a primary tool, moving vector lines.  Currently a wireframe key line keep popping away from the placed shape preview, often switching back sometimes switching further out. Absolutely no reason, glitchy? and No, there is NO STYLE affecting the preview attached, and no snapping to grid, point, no snapping period. Please tell me there is a fix on the way? I can't use this as a tool when it creates misaligned artwork. Again, as a long term user, this is more than disappointing. Subscription costs have doubled in the past 12 months and the amount of software defects seems to have risen with it, dropping productivity of the tools. Adobe please respond? with thanks,

I love the curvature tool but would like to have the option of NOT adding an anchor point when I use it to curve a line segment - much like the Anchor Point tool. I try to minimize my anchor points, but also LOVE,LOVE, LOVE the curvature tool
