Questions

Hi everyone, I downloaded an Illustrator file from OneDrive to another computer and re-installed fonts but some assets and text boxes are not showing up on the downloaded file. If I click on the assets, I see the paths, but when I click off of them, they disappear. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I've attached screenshots.

The shortcuts "ctrl + tab" and "ctrl + shift + tab" to switch tabs (open documents) don't work in Illustrator. They work in Adobe Photoshop (and any browser or app with tabs), but not in Illustrator for some reason. Please, somebody, fix it. 

Saving issues only with this version 29.7.1 of illustrator, and font preview is corrupted when text is bigger than text box, thise are the main problems i face only with the last version, is there a fix? 

 I made sure the rectangle in the very bottom later and LED is the very top layer. Thank you in advance!!  

Hi Guys, i am hoping someone can help me out here. I have icut and it needs DXF file for me to import any cut files. So I have gone through all the export files of the DXF to import the file into Icut, but I can't see the cut lines. Can someone please help me out here? Thank you in advance.

Obviously some kind of fad has been introduced in the Illustrator forum: Merging topics that *may* be related.   Whoever (from Adobe staff, as far as I can see?) thinks it's a good idea to merge threads that just *possibly* belong together:   Please think about it twice or better yet three times before you merge them. Recently, that kind of merging resulted in avoidable misunderstandings and even unintended misleading statements and deformations.   Thank you.

Hola. Hago ilustraciones utilizando los pinceles de acuarela de Photoshop y las coloreo pieza por pieza en illustrator con el modo multiplicar para que mantenga la transpariencia. Hago el montaje y termino mi diseño en illustratorEs la única manera que conozco para que mis clientes puedan cambiar los colores desde illustratorAlgunos se quejan de que les salen unos cuadros delimitando cada pieza pero no todos. No se como solucionarlo. Pasa cuando hay un fondo de colorHay alguna otra manera de hacerlo? Los pinceles de photoshop son más naturales pero necesito poder cambiar el color desde illustrator.Muchas gracias

Hello, I have mistakenly added files to the user defined swatches on illustrator and I cannot get rid of them. Can anyone help please.

I accidentally uninstalled Adobe Illustrator. How do I get it back without paying?

Adobe support only can parrot what is on the website for minimum requirements. I'm more interested in maximum. Can Illustrator take advantage of a M3 Ultra chip? It seems rather lame. I've got a client with very challenging label designs with overprint, lots of layers and very complicated designs. A M2 Max based Mac was marginally faster than a 2020 iMac 27"In Geekbench 6 scores it's maybe 10% faster than a M4 Max. I would imagine the lazy programmers at Adobe only use single core and not multi-threaded designs. It certainly seems that way. I read recent release notes that the latest Illustrator was up to 10 times faster. Anybody have some experience in performance usage notes? And yes GPU function is enabled. These Macs have 32 GB RAM and no problems with memory pressure as checked with either Activity Monitor or Stats to maintain a review in the menu bar. Files are on SSDs attached to another M1 Max based file server and use 10 Gbps network. It can only be improved with a Thunderbolt

I am creating a document that is going to a printer and they require specific CMYK values for print.  Illustrator continues to edit the CMYK values I input.  I understand that the program is likely adjusting the percentages due to a setting, however, I thought that I had taken the steps to 'lock' my CMYK inputs so Illustrator does not override my CMYK values. Document is set to CMYK, I changed to Color Managment Policies to 'Preserve Numbers (Ignore Linked Profiles) and I have turned ON all Profile Mismatches and Missing Profile settings/warnings.  How can I fix this?  I am obviously missing something. Thank you!  

Okay, this is seriously annoying. In the latest Illustrator on Windows, if you rasterize inside a clipping mask, poof — your objects are gone. Steps (super easy to test):Draw a bunch of objects and group them.Make a shape and apply a clipping mask.Double-click to go inside the group.Select everything and rasterize.And just like that... everything disappears.  If you leave even one object out of the selection, they don’t disappear.But when you select all → gone. If I only rasterize one object, or part of them, it works fine. But if I select all? Illustrator just deletes them. This is super frustrating. Rasterizing inside a clipping mask is something I do all the time, and right now it’s basically unusable. Adobe, please fix this ASAP.I uploaded a video so you can see how bad it is.😂😂😂 I using the latest version of Illustrator, running on a high spec pc.I already tried resetting Illustrator preferences and even reinstalled the program

Okay, so I was making changes to one of my projects when I accidentally pressed the wrong key on my keyboard, and the Direct Selection tool is not showing when an object is selected. Can I have some help, please? 

I've recently moved product area and now design almost exclusively on paper product, I would like to understand if there are any inbuilt settings on either Illustrator or InDesign that would allow me to check colour contrast of my designs before they go to print e.g yellow on a cream base often is hard to see but some levels are ok but I would like to know this before I hit print!  Would really appreciate any tips on how to do this.  I've been using a site called Coolors to determine whether the contrast is high enough between text and background however it would be really great if there was something easier. 

I've had this issue for a number of years with illustrator and still cannot figure out a workaround to get the vibrancy in my logos that I want. My graphics are in rgb, and export with cc profiles, the document is set to rgb, I've tried saving for web, maximum quality and size exports, nothing. Every jpg comes out slightly washed out, but not as bad as pngs. On the other hand, pdfs with profiles embedded have always exported wonderfly for me with full vibrance.I'm not sure there's a way to export jpgs with the color profile I desire. Or at least, I've tried countless times to do it and haven't succeeded. Is there a way through photoshop or acrobat, to open the pdf version of the file, and revert it to a jpg so that those color profiles stay in tact? I haven't been very successful with it but others may have more ideas than I have.I will link a side by side comparison between a jpg saved for web with maximum quality, cc profiles on, at 1200 x 1200 resolution, compared to a simple pdf ex

Hi all Is anyone else having an issue with indesign showing greyed out (faded file name) when you go to place/import an illustrator file in indesign after working it? This is a new issue since updating software to get rid of the ai bleed issue. I have to literally quit illustrator to be able to import ai into indesign. Its almost like its still saving in background when file is closed even though file was saved before closing! I don't work on cloud so all on brand new M4 local files.

Hi Community,My illustrator keeps crashing whenever i use 3d effects or try to open the 3d and materials window. It was working fine, Previously i could make and use all things related to 3d. It stopped working after i tried to add materials from the free materials on adobe.com. It crashed and has been crashing ever since. I already reset prferences many times and restart illustrator 2022 but it still not worked, I can't use 3d effects and metrials anymore. When I try to use 3d effects and metrial, adobe illustrator 2022 crasses and a pop up window come and said that illustrator encounter a problem and needs to close. Please help me to find a solution and fix the problem.Regards,Easin

Genuinely have no idea what is happening. Everything else is working fine, but there's some weird dimensional thing happening when i direct edit point with this custom brush stroke. I've been using this brush stroke for a while and only started experiencing after the update. 

I was using Adobe Illustrator, and when I enabled GPU acceleration, problems occurred in the gradient effects and transparency options for making blurs. Reinstalling the software did not resolve the issue. Only by disabling GPU acceleration could the display function properly, which has caused me great difficulty and has prevented me from completing my client's tasks. Please assist in fixing this bug.Please help resolve this issue.Translation completed.

NEVERMIND FIGURED IT OUT, BACKGROUND WAS WHITE, NOT BLUE.       Windows 11, 64Gig RAM Nvidia 2070 8Gig VRAM

If I update a file in PS then go to AI there is now a delay in it updating the link. I have to go back out of ai then flip back for it to give me the option to update the link. It used to save the PSD file in the background then update as soon as it saved.
