This image was exported from Word to PDF. I need to rework it in Illustrator, but after releasing the clipping mask, numerous empty frames appear.Sometimes there are dozens of them. Deleting them manually is slow, and I might accidentally delete frames with content.If there's a script to remove these empty frames, that would be great.Remove rectangles with no fill color and stroke width set to 0.

No matter what I do, when i open i new file or file that someone send methe units size doent open as cm I want to set a default, that any doucment i open will be in CMi can i do it?

 I want to edit the word ON to match the smaller size AND shows. Then, I would also like another saved file that shows the tagline in gold color (#C5A100) instead of red, when the metallic golf has a subtle vertical highlight to it. Please help!

Hello Everyone, I was hoping to get some assistance. Right now I'm in the process of editing some company logos and I need to export them as PNG's with different backgrounds.I make my edits with the logo and make sure that there is no background by showing the transparency grid:As shown above there is no background behind the logo, so when I go to export the AI file, I select export as -> then select PNG from the file list -> I don't select anything from the artboards option:Then I get the preview in Adobe Illustrator for my export, I select transparent from the drop down and it shows in the preview that it will show up transparent:But when I go to the file, no matter what I open it with, it has a white background only. This also happens when I select black background. Any help would be hugely appreciated because this is very frustrating.

Olá, procurei e não consegui achar opção de ocultar o ícone de conteúdo generativo na opção de "Sangria para Impressão" na última atualização 29.6 (16/06). Alguém sabe onde posso encontrar? Trabalho com opção se sangria sempre ativa e achei o ícone vermelho muito chamativo, interfere demais na visualização das composições, principalmente quando existe a necessidade de visualização de cores mais precisas. Obrigado!

I am pretty new to using scripts in Illustrator. I have a script that I would like to run in Illustrator. However, when I go to File > Scripts > Other Script and attempt to select my plain text file named SimplifyMeshToLines_Separated.jsx, the file is greyed out. If I save this file to the folder containing the Illustrator Scripts, it fails to show up in the list of Scripts. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks.

I thought that would be much easier to create this in Illustrator but I was wrong. How do you get the gradient and wave effect?    <Title renamed by moderator>

How can you bring this gradient effect? I brought this but I am not satified because in my one center color shows white & pink mix, in the tutorial it is not the case. 3D Text Effect0.15-0.16My Work

Is it possible to bring custom shape into Astute Graphics Make Shape? Because when I tried it, separate shape created by Astute Graphics appears.   

I am using export in screens to save multiple file types from a ton of different variations of a logo, both colou and style. One of my file types I'm exporting is a SVG and for some reason 3 different artboards didn't save the svg file, I didn't get an error they just don't exist among the files I exported.I tried to export in screens with just those three converting just to svg and it loads like it is exporting and doesn't pop up an error but none of them are in the file I selected. I tried selecting just my downloads folder to export to but same thing happened.I don't know what would be different about the three two of them are the same logo different colours the other is a different logo variation but they all have multiple other versions in this file in different colours that exported fine.

Once a file has been opened in Illustrator, I can't move/modify/rename/delete them without quitting illustrator first. I get "The action can't be completed because the file is open in Adobe Illustrator 2021". I run a lot of batch actions and move the files after so having to close and reopen the app everytime is really inconvenient.  I've updated/reinstalled Illustrator, restarted the pc etc.Only affects Illustrator, other applications like Photoshop don't do it.Doesn't matter the file type or location and files are local, not being synced anywhere.Windows 10, latest version of Illustrator.'Save in background' and 'Export in background' are turned off.I one by one ended each Adobe process in task manager I could find while trying to delete the file each time and I could only delete it once Illustrator itself was terminated. I'm stuck and I can't think of anything else to try, any advice? 

Hello.Is there any way to precisely select and confirm to Illustrator 2025 (currently running on version 29.8.2.) which GPU to pick to process the graphics information?I am running a quite performant laptop with a dedicated NVIDIA RTX Ada GPU with 16GB as well as an onboard graphics unit (with has way less power) but can't tell Illustrator to only use powerful GPU.In Photoshop I can directly pick and assign the GPU to be used, for InDesign and Illstrator I can't find that option via the Menu Preferences > Performance. There, in the "GPU-Details" section it shows all 3 GPU-components my laptop has (see attached pic).How do I manage to only utilize the powerful NVIDIA RTX GPU?Thanks in advance,

I often have to go through several layers and rename them all at once. For a long time I've been able to double click the top layer and hit TAB after renaming the layer. It would then send me to rename the next layer and so on. Today after the most recent update hitting TAB is highlighting various icons to the right and below the top layer. Sometimes I can cycle through to the next layer, sometimes it randomly will shoot to the icons and the bottom of the layers panel. This is really disrupting my work flow. Is it just me or is it really something with the most recent update? I would hate for it to stay like this.

Hello, good day.Does anyone know how to disable these help pop-ups? I've updated my program, but whenever I hover over it, or just suddenly, these pop-ups open by themselves and stay stuck until I click anywhere. It's annoying. 

Adobe software is spying on me. It is recording my screen without my permission again and again. and no it is not something that I haven't previously disabled on settings. It is getting activated again! I never give my permission for this. and it is breaking my privacy. Even with the permission disabled and app sometimes offline it continues to record the screen.   I have googled similar problems from other people they just say that they have to do it to get the colors with is lie. It works perfectly without a need to record the screen. It is a direct interference with my privacy.Anyone has any idea how to disable that? I have tried everything.

I am not sure why my Illustrator doesn't have the textBlock feature. I know you can find it under File>Scripts>textBlock but mine doest have the selection. The only ones shown are ImageTracing, SaveDocsAsPDF, SaveDocsAsSVG, and Other Scripts... Help here. Thanks

Hello!I'd like to explore whether there is a way to group all objects without having to "Select All" or CMD + A beforehand.The reason being I'm working with large formats (floorplans) and often need to resize the whole thing. The extra step of selecting all can take several minutes to process and the grouping, again, several minutes. Only after selecting and grouping I change the dimensions of the whole floorplan, which again, as you may have guessed, takes a couple minutes.Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I would like to rezise my canvas in Illustrator and I dont know how to do that!Why: I'de like to fit my AI design on to an other AI, real size object and the Illustrator canvas is to small to handle the design in a proper way. Really annoying and frustrating problem. One of the most basic functions > "Export > Export for screens" > Saving as PNG > is not working as it shouldI have a file with 10 artboards and when I export for screens as png, some of the files get exported as .tmp Its almost like illustrator is choking with a png export function. Is there a fix for this? Was it because of one of those "infamous" adobe updates? 

I’m not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same issues when sharing links for document reviews. Every time I share a document, Illustrator (or the app) creates a link with the same name and overwrites the previous one. Even if I change the link name manually, it keeps reverting to that as the default setting afterwards, which causes one file to overwrite the other — and as a result, the comments no longer match the right document. I’ve already tried reinstalling and clearing the cache, but I’m still stuck.

I was working on a drawing that had colored lines and text. I attempted to change a box selection from the default black line with white interior to yellow line with blank interior when all the lines went to thin black lines and all text went from red to black. I haven't figures out how to exit whatever mode I was put in.AI 29.6Mac  Sequoia 15.6.1

Hello - I updated Illustrator yesterday to version 26.0.1 and a strange flickering is now occurring. When I move my cursor the grey background behind the artboard flickers between light and darker grey. Also, filled shapes onscreen do the same thing -- jumping between a slightly lighter and darker shade of the same color. This appears to be related to onscreen guides for alignment trying to appear -- when the flickering is happening, alignment lines are visible, but no text (Anchor, Center, 45 degree angle, etc.). I'm attaching a quick screen recording in which you can see the flickering happening, then it stops, then starts back again. Never seen anything like this until the update yesterday. Please help, this is incredibly annoying and headache-inducing! More about my system:2017 Macbook Pro, 15"2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel i716 GB MemoryGraphics: Radeon Pro 560, 4 GBOS: macOS Monterey 12.0.1Dual screen setup via USB-C to an LG 27" 4K monitor (Model # BK67U), 60 Hz refresh rate 

I am unable to find a script that will do this. The default application functionality is really frustrating how it just slaps a generic "Layer 1", "Layer 2" layer name on the new layers. I would rather have the name of the sublayer become the name of the new layer. Has anyone seen a script anywhere that does this?

Hi everyone,Illustrator 2025 (version 29.8.2) keeps freezing right after launch on my M2 Mac running macOS 26.0.1 (Tahoe). The splash screen appears, but then I get a spinning wheel and have to Force Quit.I’ve already tried:– Deleting preferences and caches– Reinstalling Illustrator and Creative Cloud– Disabling GPU Performance– Starting with Shift held down– Installing Rosetta Nothing seems to fix it. Could this be a compatibility issue with macOS? Any known fixes?System details:• MacBook Air M2 (2023)• macOS Tahoe 26.0.1• Illustrator 2025 v29.8.2
