Benutzung von LrC nach Beendigung des ABOs

Hallo beisammen,

Can I simulate this feature by logging out of the cloud?

No. Signing out in the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App will deactivate the local copy of each Adobe program in your subscription. You will get a warning message to that effect. When you go and start LrC after that, the catalog will open, and then you will get a message telling you to sign in, canceling that message will just close LrC.

Go ahead and try that out while you still have a subscription.I did as to test it out/verify.

If your subscription passes, do not sign out, Oh you may be able to sign back in (not tested by me), but why chancy that. Eventually you will receive error messages about accreditation, but hopefully you will still have limited access. (no develop, no sync)

Hey dear GoldingD,

thanks for the very detailed answer. It gives some hope, that once, when I will cancel, I will still have access to my archiv.

The test result you did I can confirm.

Perhaps somebody has already cancelled the subcription and will be so kind, to tell us about experiences with the remaining accesses.

Best regards and thx in anycase

How do I start LrC (Lightroom Classic) once I've finished my subscription? The Library and Print module should still work, shouldn't it?

Can I simulate this feature by logging out of the cloud?

Thanks for an answer, because that's the uncertainty I carry with me if a version 14 is released soon, which no longer runs on my MAC with macOS 12.7 and I would then have to buy a new computer, which the financial situation does not allow. Then the subscription doesn't make sense to me anymore.

As far as I know, everything except the Develop and Map modules will continue to work if you cancel your subscription.

So you can still use the Library module (including Quick Develop), export and print.

Signing out will probably simulate that situation (never tried it).

You don't have to upgrade to version 14 when it is released (most likely in October next year), you can stay on version 13 if you like.

I have not experienced Cancelling my subscription. With your current subscription you can Log-Out and Log-In of Creative Cloud Desktop App at any time without consequence.

Lightroom-Classic v13 currently requires- macOS Monterey (version 12.0) or later, so you should be OK for the forseeable future. Anyway you can keep your current version working with a subscription, and not upgrade the LrC version if a higher Mac OS is required.

Thx for the quick answer and the link. My interpretation is : My lightroom archiv I can access all time even after my subscription is cancelled. Correct?
