With latest update (LRC 13.3), no longer able to batch update GPS field either in Library or Map modules, i.e., select multiple photos in either Library grid or Map film strip, enter GPS coordinates in metadata field. The entered GPS coordinates will only register in the first photo in queue. Only way to update all photos is to enter GPS on each photo individually. This failure is frustrating as this has been my only work-around for the problem outlined below which has existed for years. This second issue in Map module has been ongoing through many updates: selecting multiple images on film strip and dragging them onto a map have them landing a distance from target. If I try to drag a single photo and drop it directly over a pre-existing flag, it, too, will "bounce" several inches away. I have seen complaints on this elsewhere on net, but have never found a solution. My only alternative has been to batch edit, but now that no longer works. 

When I export to video the image quality is circa 1995 (I have set it to high quailty).I also can not get my 4:3 image to occupy max space as when I select Zoom to Fill Frame, my shots in Portrait oriengtation get croped into Landscape.   So what is the vaule to being able to add music to something of such inferiour image quality. I went diretly to Adobe who told me Lightroom is a photo editing software and its slideshow capabiliters are limited. So, back to my question - what value is there in the Slideshow module?  

It seems that in the past 4-5 months every single time I go to use Lightroom I find something has 'broken'. As a result I'm spending more time 'fixing' LR then using it for what I bought it for and it's getting very annoying.Anyway, rant over. Two weeks ago I was using LR and everything was working correctly, then last week I was on holiday and so my iMac was switched off and nobody has used it or LR until I launched it yesterday to download all my photos. All my photos imported into my catalog fine, it did fail to import the videos I'd shot which were .MOV files but LR never seems to be able to import them and I don't really need video in LR so it's never particularly bothered me.I was able to edit and organise the photos without problem but when I try to do a slideshow I then get the message "Dynamic link media server failed to launch" after which the play button is greyed out.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling LR. Hello ! First, sorry for my bad english, I hope my question will be clear. Recently, I tried to work my picture remotely from my NAS, and move my LrC Catalog to SSD external drive. From my desktop computer, linked to the NAS, I generate "Smart Preview" and "1:1" previews for all picture in my catalog.Today, I work on this catalog, on my laptop, without access to my NAS. I figured out that picture not edited may be more zoomed than newly edited. For example :This picture is not edited yet from my laptop. 100% zoom can be deepThe picture below is developed from my laptop, and 100% zoom is reducedPicture has been taken in same condition with the same camera. Do you have an idea why this behavior occurs ? When using the AI ​​noise reduction feature, some pink dots and gray squares appear in the processed photos. The problem occurs with Fujifilm RAW files, even converted to DNG. All drivers and applications updated and tested in different versions. GPU resources (RTX 3060) whether turned on or off, have the same problem. In Lightroom classic or web for MAC, this does not happen, only with Windows 11 Pro.Tested with files Fuji XT2, XT3 and XH2.

I'm wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this error message or what it means. I've had troubles uploading books to Blurb before but usually after I retry a couple times it goes through. This time I've been getting this error message (at about the 75% mark) and have no idea what it means. I've checked all the pages over for error alerts or icons and can't find anything.

Hi I am really struggling to access older versions of lightroom for iMac. Has anyone experienced and similar and what is the best solve for this? 

Hi this is now the second time, that a catalog get screwed up.If I load this particular catalog, I cannot use the development module.Also, I cannot change the target collection.The only solution so far it to go back to last backup, so far.Quite annoying.What could be the prohblem, and ist there a solution for this problem?ThanksAndreas

I upgraded to Lightroom Classic version 13-3 today.  Adaptive subject presets no longer work.  Selecting subject or background from the create new mask menu also does not work, yet all were working yesterday prior to upgrading Lightroom today.  I have Windows 10 O.S. on a desktop pc.  Is there a solution to get these working again?

Hello everyone.I have bought a new Apple-PC and would like to install Lightroom classic and Photoshop on it.I have been working with these two programmes on a Windows computer for years. Now I have a new PC with an unknown operating system. I would be very happy if someone could recommend a manual, video or something similar.I would also appreciate any tips on what to look out for. Thank you very much in advance. 

I updated to 13.3 over the weekend and proceeded to import about 2000+ photos. After the catalog conversion, the import seemed to be stuck, so I quit everything and upgraded the old catalog again. Then quit Lightroom and started it again to import the photos. Again, super slow. I then proceeded to import in batches, which eventually completed.   All activtities seem to be very slow. Adding keywords often doesn't work, as the processes seem busy with something else. HDR Merge is exceptionally slow, as is stacking and unstacking. There's also a crazy amount of XML file updating going on.    If find performance slightly better after restarting, but that doesn't last for long.   I have roughly 200000+ photos in the catalog. M1 Mac Mini with 16GB of RAM and using an external SSD. Processing JPG and RAW.    Anyone else noticed something similar?

Hi there, I would like to apply a mask to several dozen photos. Specifically, I would like to:> Create New Mask> Select People> Select facial skin & Body Skin> Set clarity/highlights> Automatically apply / synch the facial and body skin mask to people in selected photos (in Develop mode, I would think). Is there a way to do this? There is an option to use "collections" as part of the filter rule set for smart filters.I cannot find any documentation of how this is supposed to work. Putting in text and using "starts with" or "contains" produces random results.I have collection hierarchies: is there is syntax to resolve them in the text search? Hi all, I’ve used LR for a long while.  In the past I found the program to be very responsive and user-friendly.  Since the paid subscriptions came in it is gotten slower, laggy and prone to bugs. New install or old about the same.  Currently trying to do the final edits on some photos with basic edits.  I can count the second between selecting a crop and it executing (6 seconds), then more seconds (6-8 seconds) before I can move on to the next photo. New or old catalogue, not much different Preview size does not seam to do much Cache purge no difference.  If fact it purges nothing.  Had to navigate to the folder and clear myself..  Loading the Preference screen is sooooooooooooooooooo slow too. Cannot use GPU acceleration as I can only edit 1 photo before it breaks.   My system is OK; LR, Nvidia and windows 10 all patched and up-to-date. HiI recently had a shoot where I used a black background and a black cloth on floorThe b blackground is always black in photos, but the floor, is lighter and I see wrinkles..1. How do I change the background to be black (turn black down) and then the gray make it look smooth with no wrinkles, so it looks like the two separate colors?Is it possible in LrC or should I use Ps? Attached image

Will Lightroom Classic ever be able to process NEF files?  If not, is it recommended that Nikon users just drop their subscriptions???

 Issue:  Curve adjustment does not work properly. Small adjustment control point jumps erraticaly. Lightroom Classic version: 13.2OS and version: MacOs Sonoma 14.3 Expected result: Lightroom Classic should do more precise adjustment of the control point.Actual result: Lightroom Classic does not allow for precise adjustment. 

Hello I am in Australia and have thoursands of Australian Bird photos in my Lightroom LrC that are not keyworded with the name of the bird.  I am after a plug in that I can choose a bird in my Lightroom (or from an external library) ie magpie it will then search throught my images and add Australian Magpie to the images it finds that look like the Magpie.  Any ideas? Hi,I've had this issue for a long time now. I often make Virtual Copies of my PSD files so that I can give them a colour tweak in LRC before printing.However, I notice that if I make another edit to the original in PS, then the Virtual Copy's thumbnail doesn't update, despite leaving my Mac on overnight or restarting. If the Virtual Copy is created and never edited in LR, then its thumbnail updates just fine! It also decides to update if I edit it some more in LR and then return to grid view. It's like the Virtual Copy either needs to be competely untouched or edited a few times for it to receive updates from its original. Just one edit is too much/not enough. It's driving me insane.... I've attached a video to show how the Virtual Copy that already had a Quick Develop edit only updates once I've cropped it. LRC 13.3My Mac is a MacBookPRO M1 chip Sonoma 14.5, but this happened on my old 2015 laptop too.

When I apply lens blur using the lens blur module, the colours and contrast in my image change. It's glitchy and I can sometimes get the colours back by zooming in our out, toggling before/after view, changing from D to E module, or going into the crop tool. But it usually reverts again, and when I export the images to harddrive or Smugmug the colours are not what they should be. Would appreaciate any help, with this error I can't use the lens blur module!

I know that Adobe people keep an eye on this forum and, while, I'm not exactly a dedicated reader, things like this tend to go unsaid.  You deserve a standing ovation. These new features you've introduced—and that seem to keep coming—are terrific! I haven't tried the object removal tool yet but if it works well, it will be the grand slam that clears the bases you've already loaded with Denoise and all the rest. My computer doesn't seem to be too fond of all these power hungry AI devices but such is life in the big city.  The difference in my photos is absolutely visible and the change is not subtle. My compliments! Excellent work!

After upgrading to Lightroom Classic 13.1, the app is not returning to the last edited image after restarting a specific catalog. In fact, it returns to the same image everytime. This has been going on for quite some time now and its really irritating. I have tried both resetting my preferences as well as moving the "-v12" files out of the same folder as the "-v13" files, to no avail. I just recently updated to 13.3 which didn't change anything as well. Any other ideas out there?
