I haven't changed anything in my workflow and out of nowhere with this last update,  older photos are being replaced in my imports with random photos. Anything older than a year is being completely scattered throughout my catalog. All the import dates are changing. My entire catalog is being changed with out my doing. Even private shared albums are putting the wrong files which  is a huge privacy issue. I need help. I currently stopped every shared album I have because I can't trust that it's going to send the right photos to the right people. I attached a screen recording to show why my albums are doing.

Hi there, LR Classic 13.4 is suddenly runnnig extremly slow, freezes and crashes on Mac OS 14, Version: 14.5.0. on an MBA M1, 8 GB Ram Maschine that's been fine for years.  It takes ages just to load a picture in Dev. Module (spinning wheel of Death), changes in Dev. Module result in the same behavior, export to jpeg only works for single files and also suddenly takes ages. With multiple files LR freezes and has to be restartet. Have allready optimized the catalog multiple times, restartet LR multipile times and restartet the computer multiple times.  Am completly at a loss what's causing this, haven't had this problem before. LR Systemreport shows plently of memory available.

Hi all. My name is Marek. I need your help 😉 On my NAS Synology 423+ drive I have several directories with photos. While importing one of them, LrC "recognizes" 21,000 photos, but physically I have less than 31,000 on the drive. Comparison of the memory, respectively 700 GB "recognized" by LrC and 950 GB on the drive. What could be wrong that LrC does not see all files that are jpg or RAW files? Thanks for any hint 😊

Suddenly, edits done in PS do not update in LR; saved as a copy. The  image shows in explorer correcly., but in LR it is the old image.   If it is a new image with  edits, that seems to work.  I have re-installed PS and LR.

In LR-Classic habe ich dann die Metadaten neu eingelesen und muss nun feststellen, dass alle meine Fotobearbeitungen weg sind. Das würde ich als Katastrophe bezeichnen. Ich hätte jetzt nicht erwartet, dass die Metadaten etwas mit meinen Bilddaten zu tun haben. Kann mir das jemand erklären. Hi, I've got a bunch of images taken outside with a rolling hill in them. Two things break this hill: the subject couple (wedding image) and a dead tree.I did a "Select Sky" mask in Lightroom Classic and wanted to make the clouds more dramatic (as they were at the time). Now I could lower the exposure, or highlights, or whites, or dehaze - or a combination of all of these. Indeed that's what I did - a combination.The problem is that the mask selects a little bit of the top of the hill so when you lower anything you get a bit of a "ring edge" or "fringe" to the hill (it is less noticable around the couple themselves).I've tried only adjusting one of those things at a time and the issue remains much the same. Before:After - note the "double line" of the horizon. Before:After:I know it's the mask as when I simply lower the exposure dramatically I can see the effect well - it must be selecting part of the hillside and/or feathering and including the hillside. Any idea of a quick

I have just replaced my old 27" FHD monitor with a new 27"QHD one with far better colour accuracy, since swapping the monitor LrC constantly freezes and crashes to desktop. Is there an issue with higher resolution monitors?  Even the web based newer Lr seems to have issues too, just not as bad as LrC. 

When exporting the files everything works normal, but then Lightroom doesn't stop.The LrC Symbol in the taskbar says "finished" because the loading bar is gone.But inside Lightroom the loading bar in the left corner says still exporting the last picture.If I open the export folder I see files appearing and disappering all the time.This process never finishes. I tried everything like stopping the export, restart the computer, omptimize the cataloge, and so on.

Hello, everyone,I have been experiencing this problem for a long time, which causes me a heavy workflow slowdown.My setup is as followsmacbook m1 pro 16gb ram, mac os Sonoma 14.5, apple studio display, and the files are nikon z8 48mpx.The files and the catalogue are ONLY on an ssd storage, I normally ask lightroom to convert raw files to dng and generate standard or advanced previews (nothing changes between the two in terms of loading time).Each time to make the selections I have to wait 2 to 4 seconds for the previews to load, and when I have about 5000 files to select from you can imagine that the loss of time is a lot.Can anyone help me?Thank you very much!

Hi, I'm a novice lightroom classic user. Recently I noticed there is an annoying change where the library previews of images appear much different than the develop module which looks normal. Essentially the library (as well as the images for the import preview full size, but NOT the import preview thumbnails) images all appear pixelated and like a sort of low-dynamic range version. I've tried optimizing catalog, and created a new catalog and reinstalling lightroom and still present. I have no idea why things have changed because I certainly don't tweak settings. The only thing I can think is that I recently got a new monitor in the past few months (Alienware AW3225QF). Video card settings all up to date (RTX 4070). Lightroom up to date (13.4). Windows 10. Hey!since Lightroom Classic 13 the teeth-detection is terribly wrong if i select "All People".The same when using Preset -> Adaptive: Portrait -> Enhance Portrait  or Whiten Teeth.Also the same if i'm copying a preset using such Adaptive Preset from pic to pic. Using Preset or adding a mask->People->all People this is an absolute terrible and not acceptable result(Detected teeth are red-colored). Hi all please help as I'm at a loss. everything was working fine until I upgraded to dxo pure raw 4. I used the Lightroom plug in to process 12 photos. All successfully completed. Then went back in Lightroom to view the photos to find them photos plus others stuck loading like in the picture. All greyed out. It's been like that for days not moving. please help. I have tried everything I can think of. I reinstalled Lightroom and plugins. Turned MacBook on and off. Updated everything. my next step is to start another catalog. thanks chris

Please help!I bought a new PC because I really need that Denoising in Lightroom Classic works fast, it took almost 10 minutes per picture in my last PC. The new one is quick but the picture turns purple while procesing the Denoise AI.What should I do?

My catalog is fairly large, I believe; total ~8200, and is separated into many folders by year. Within the "year" folders, there are nested "day" and or "event" folders. Many, but not all, thumbnail previews do not show when selecting folders, or in the filtered view. If I click and "rest" on a photo, after 4 to 20 seconds, then clicking away, the preview eventually shows. Of course with ~8200 photos, and I'm guessing several hunderds - maybe a few thousand - of them not showing a preview, the time consumed with the rest/click away technique is exhorbitant. And I'm not sure the thumbnails are persistent for future visits, as I've been struggling with this issue for months. I've tried many "answers" that I've found on the internet without anything really  solving the problem. Amongst other "fixes" I've done the select all>library>previews>build standard-sized previews several times, and other than adobe consuming high %'s of CPU for several minutes, I have not noticed

While in develop tab and setting a rating for each photo and adding to quick collection. Lightroom freezes when uising the right arrow key to move to next photo in folder. Starting awhile back, maybe 13.3 or 13.2, I started occasionally getting an exclamation mark (!) in the upper right hand corner on random thumbnails in grid view.  I have been using Lightroom since version 4 so for 12 years or so.  This problem never happened before, but now it happens fairly often.  I am talking about photos that were imported before (days, weeks, months, years ago).  It seems totally random.  When it happens usually the photos before and after it in grid view do not have the !.  And in every case there was no ! previously -- it just suddenly appears.     When I click on the ! I get this window:     Usually I select Import Settings from Disk.  Sometimes if I have already done a lot (keywords, star ratings, comment, etc.) then I select Overwrite Settings.   This is all very annoying and it happens to a few random photos every time I use LrC these days.   [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moder

After importing the files from the card to the LR (CR2 format), the files in the library look blurry, and the files in develop are sharp. After going to develop and pressing "\" - before / after, the 'before' image goes blurry like in library. After exporting a photo to the disk to the jpg format (in the export window I do not select any changes, such as resolution, size change, etc.) the photo is still blurry like in library. When I open this jpg in photoshop, the photo is sharp like in develop in LR. When I choose 'edit in photoshop' in LR develop, photo is pretty sharp, but as I only save them to the disk (jpg or png) it's again blurry.I have tried many of settings in preview of preferences in library, i changed build previews from embedded to 1:1 or standard – nothing changes. Lightroom question. I import photos into Lightroom. I then crop and rotate them.  I am editing multiple photos at once with a mask using the brush over one area to lighten up the area by increasing the exposure. When I go back the mask has moved. What am I doing wrong?
