I have both RAW and Video files in my LrC catalog. The RAW files sort as expected when selecting "Sort: Capture Time". But with Video files they do not sort according to the "Capture Time" metadata but according to the "Date Time" metadata. For my RAW files all the date time metadata fields (there are several) contain the same data, which is the capture date and time. But video metadata is a mess! I won't delve into all the problems with date and time metadata in video files, but "Capture Time" metadata and "Data Time" metadata are not the same. Consequently sorting on "Date Time" metadata does not sort according to "Capture Time". The bug is that when sort according to "Capture Time" is selected, the resultant order is according the "Data Time" metadata which is the wrong order.
I shot only in raw (.arw) with my Sony a7iii and never had a problem with using denoise before - now, it says that this type of file is incompatible...what gives?
SO i have been using Lightroom classic for some time. My question is in regards to profiles i think.I shoot RAW for a reason, i like the control and understanding each one of my images helps me grow in how i shoot, setup my camera settings and compose my edits. This issue iI have noticed lately is that no matter what , when im in the develope tab, if i click to preview an image, the EDITED icon will appear in the bottom right of the thumbnail without doing anything. Not such a big problem persay however, what i noticed is my WB is not Zero, also the biggest complaint is that LR seems to be apllying denoise and sharpening by default. Why is this? I often use Standard profile in LR because it gives me the most neutral settings but i was hoping someone can tell me why i cant get a truley RAW image preview? or is there a Neutral profile i can use? for now , i basically made a preset tool than i have to apply to all my images first to Zero things out then move to the edit. I know
Hello. I'm suddenly having issues with LRC lagging. It takes several seconds to switch photos and when I'm editing, the edits are lagging. I'm using the latest LRC update... 13.4. I'm on an Apple M3 Max with 64GB memory. Sonoma 14.5... Is anyone else having trouble? [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. I loaded raw source files from my Canon 5D4 SD card into a folder on my external disk drive prior to lightroom import. I then imported that folder into lightroom classic and edited all the files. The source folder on my external disk now contains the raw source files and the corresponding .xmp files. I then exited lightroom selecting the backup option. The next time I went into lightroom, the folder did not appear. The folder was still on my external disk drive along with the .xmp files. I can re-import the folder but the .xmp files don't import. How do I get my edits back without doing it all over again? I did nothing different in my normal import/edit workflow. I am a medium level user and could use some help here.
I have the same issue. LRC v. 13.4 and PS v.24.7, when I click on edit open as layers in PS nothing happens, no error message or anything.
Hi,I wanted to enter a few .gpx maps I found before deleting them from my download folder. I want to use this feature again as I am doing some travelling. There is no Map module in Lightroom Classic 13.4, however. I havent used it for a while, but I thought it was between Develop and Book? any ideas where it has gone? Apologies if I am missing something basic, which is not impossible, but I can't see it anywhere. Thanks, In advance, Nick
13.3.1 was supposed to be bug fix (Mac OS all updated) - but here we are: my catalog still stuck on "syncing 15 images" whilst having zero sync issues in the "sync errors" album. Of course I cannot see which 15 images are stuck because Adobe pleasantly removed this feature in 13.3 - we can no longer see in real-time which images are being synced right now! Further - I cannot reset the sync data - when I press that button and confirm that I indeed want to REBUILD SYNC DATA - nothing happens apart from Lightroom re-launches itself and puts sync on pause. When I re-enable sync it is still stuck with "15 images" syncing. FURTHER: the issue of huge impossible lag while creating new albums and collections is still there - e.g. images added to a newly created album can take several minutes to actually register there! Adobe you' ve failed us again. Please do some homework and fix bugs in core operations before leaping to future fancy AI records!
In lightroom classic, part of my workflow is to flag photos and then export them as I work through various sports teams. Previously, the flagged filter stayed engaged while I exported photos, then it started disabling and reverting to filters off when I performed the export. Now, it not only does that but even after the export is completed I'll turn on the flagged filter and it bounces back to filters off two or three times before I get it to stick again and perform my next export. Any help would be greatly appreciated on this problem that's been plagueing me for a while now.
I've been having the problem of lightroom running slow and jerky on my mac for a few weeks. For example, if I want to export 20 images, it currently takes a few minutes, which was much faster a few weeks ago. Mac M1 Max
I noticed that my catalog hadn't picked up the images from my iphone for a a week or so and checked the usual solutions. With no obvious answer, I called Adobe. I warn people not to call Adobe for help; I should heed my own advice.....After spending way too long on the phone between two days, Adobe told me to manually search for and change the flag status or color of 200 images, manually. Yeah right. I'm surprised that they never suggested that I try a back up catalog. Since syncing, even when it was working, never finished syncing, I decided to burn things down and start over. I deleted the Lightroom app on my phone and re-installed it to dump the photos, and deleted everything from the cloud.Syncing new photos from my phone to Classic is working and most Collections are syncing from Classic to my phone, but some collections aren't and some collections are shrinking in size. I've created new collections to sync and they shrink too. Windows 10
For many years (Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.1) I have had in my directory c:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Metadata Field Lists\ a own-made Library Module Metadata Panel Preset Definition (my-exif.lrtemplate). Unfortunately, the statement "com.adobe.folder" no longer works. I couldn't find anything about it in the SDK documentation. Does "com.adobe.folder" no longer work in the current version of LRC?
I have RTX 3070. Couple weeks ago I was able to denoise images in 6 seconds. I think I updated during this time period. Otherwise everything is same as before pretty much. Anyone have any idea why does this happen? Was it the update? Task manager shows near 100% utilization for GPU. Nothing GPU intensive running on background.
My setup:- nas: Synology 1522+, RAID 6 ("classic" RAID 6, not SHR-2), 5 HDDs WD Red Pro 6 TB (7200 RPM)- 10 GBe network: Mac Studio M1 Max + Synology 10 GB addon-card + QNAP 10 GB switch (QSW-2104-2T)When Lightroom Classic performs a backup to a mounted (SMB) network share as destination the performance plummets to the ground. It's literally 10x slower than on local folder. My catalog archive (zip file) is roughly 545 MB and it takes literally 1 second to transfer to NAS via copy/paste.Lightroom Catalog Backup done on local folder: 14 seconds (full process)Lightroom Catalog Backup done on NAS: 1 minute 38 seconds (full process)* integrity test and catalog optimization enabled in both scenariosThe backup process seems to hang a lot on "Copying Catalog" and a little bit less slower but still slow on "Compressing Catalog Backup" when done on NAS.There is clearly some inneficient process in the way Lightroom Classic deals with Catalog Backups to network shares. Why don't you guys just "prep
Hello I am getting the following error when I attempt to reimport Batched photos using Photomatix Pro 7. This error has not happened in the past and I have successfully used this software for several months now. Right now, I can also see that the photos are imported back into my SD card but are not able to be opened. Below I will walk you through the steps of selecting 5 photos to export to Photomatix Pro 7 with screenshots of my settings in hopes this will help. Please let me know what else I should try.
Currently using lightroom portfolio links to share photos with clients, export with personal logo and share with google drive. But, didnt see an option for multiple logo placement in lightroom, so: -Bridged to Photoshop, cut/paste logos there, then save/close and autosync to lightroom folder. It's a slow process going back and forth like that, is there a more efficient way to place multiple logos in lightroom?
When opening the plug-in Negative Lab Pro, there are two dialogues that open in succession. First a loading bar (too quick to screenshot), then the editing dialogue. At some point, without updating the plug-in, there started to be a delay when opening the editing dialogue. When I press "Plug-In Extras" -> "Negative Lab Pro" the loading dialogue pops up immediately and briefly, then there is about 5 seconds of delay where nothing happens. During this, Lightroom is either frozen or has nothing clickable (as if the plug-in dialogue were already open). This happens when selecting RAW files from any camera I have tried. I have found that during this time, a single CPU thread goes to 100% utilisation for the full delay, and then returns to normal once the dialogue has popped up. There is also a shorter spike when closing the dialogue. RAM usage does not spike or ever reach 100% I have tried re-installing Lightroom, re-installing the plug-in, rolling back Lightroom to m

Hi, Anyone know what causes this? In Library all is normal, when I switch to devellop these lines and scratches show up. Tried closing the application, the computer, re-importing the files but same thing keeps happening.
Windows 11 and Lightroom Classic...all updated.I import my NEF files into Lightroom and when viewed on the filmstrip appear one way and yet once selected, they flip to a darker version of the image. Trying to understand why? When it happens, I can click History and it shows White Balance As Shot and then the time and date of the import. Why is this white balance as shot appearing? I checked the import settings and Develop Settings are set to None.
When I attempt to delete a photo from any of my catalogs that have been updated to v13-3 from the previous version, LR crashes. The catalogs I created after the update work perfectly fine when deleting images. I have thousands of rejected photos that I need to delete to free up hard drive space, but I can't figure out a workaround or how to fix this issue. I've tried EVERYTHING. Error report is attached.
