I am beyond frustrated right now! The masking tools are not all working after recent upgrade to 13.3Find sky works fine, can't find people, select background looks like it trys to create mask and then it disappears, same with select subject. PLease help! Or tell me how to downgrade!

hello, I myself struggle to tell the difference in sharpness but I am still curious to know whether all RAW profiles i.e." adobe color, adobe faithful" apply different amounts of sharpness or the same amount of sharpness — this question comes from reading Scott Kelby's Lightroom Classic Book pg 130 "this default RAW profile is called adobe colour......and it applies some sharpening" — do all RAW profiles apply the same amount of sharpening or do they apply different amounts of sharpness? 

I was recently helping a friend set up a new laptop. She will be getting Photoshop and Lightroom in the near future. She downloaded the Adobe Creative Cloud app and I went over the details with her. When we looked at the current plans it appeared that the Photoshop/Lightroom 20GB plan for $9.99 a month is no longer available. However when we looked at purchasing Lightroom ONLY it looks like the combination plan IS still available for $9.99 per month. She won't need more than 20GB of storage. Is the $9.99 monthly plan still available? Thanks for your reply.

Bonjour après un bug de mon PC j ai du réinstaller pas mal de choses et notamment LR classic j ai le 4,5,et le 6Lorsque j installe le 6 une fenêtre s ouvre et me demande de mettre tout à jour navigateur ,Windows etc ...mais tout est à jour puisque les mises à jour se font seules et lorsque je fais mise ajour il n y apas de mise à jour à faire tout est bien je ne sais que faire d autant que puisque la 6 ne peut pas s installer certaines de mes photos ne peuvent pas être prise en charge je ne comprends pas ce qui se passe ...Merci de me donner des idées de solutions

Using LR5.7.1 on Windows 10.See screenshot.Why is the All Photographs total equal to the Missing Photographs total?Why are there question marks next to the folders names?Tried exporting with File->Export with Preset to DNG...did not work says "No rendered photo on disk".Tried Export as Catalog (which took several hours) and the amount files at the destination is equal to the amount it should be, but no photos there, only thumbnails or very small files of type .lrprev.The photos look fine from the LR app and they look to be all there quantity-wise and quality-wise.Starting the LR app gives 3 choices, 1 'regular' catalog and 2 backups.  The backup catalogs experience the same issue.

On import Lightroom Classic copies my Canon EOS R (CR3) in camera crop of 4:3 but doesn't do the same with my Canon 6D files (CR2). Any LR users know why?

Lightroom classic fails to import images. I tried both from an SD card and from an external SSD disk: it continues to give me the same error: it is not possible to copy a file to the destination folder because the file cannot be modified.I use Apple M1 with Sonoma 14.4.1 and Lighroom classic 13.3.1Thanks for your help!

Hallo, beim Import von RAW-Fotos in LcR 13.4 (macOS 13.6.5; Apple Mac Pro Max M2), welche zuvor mit Camera Raw entwickelt worden waren, werden die dazugehörigen XMP Dateien ignoriert und komplett überschrieben. Somit sind diese wieder in den Ur-Zustand ohne die Entwicklungsbearbeitung, Beschneidung und entsprechenden horizontalen bzw. vertikalen Ausrichtungen versetzt. Stunden der Arbeit sind zunichte gemacht. Da ich jedoch weitere bearbeitete RAWs habe, die ich in einen Katalog einbinden möchte, brauche ich eine Lösung. Bei einem früheren Import vor ca. 1 Jahr war dies noch kein Problem. Ich hoffe Sie können helfen.

Version 13.3.1 running on Windows 11 Pro version 10.0.22631 Build 22631Catalogue(s) previously upgraded to latest 13.3 format' On attempting to start, message bar pops-up "Lightroom - Opening Catalog: catalog.lrcat".  Appears to hang at this point. Lightroom.exe is running as a background process - status "Not responding".Problem occurs with different catalogues, so not apparently an individual (corrupt) catalogue problem.Tried re-starting with the re-set preferences option. Checked that a .lock file was not present in catalogue folder.Tried uninstall and re-install ... with PC reboot.Problem persists.I'm stumped. Hi, last week I moved from OS Catalina to Big Sur and updated LrC version at the same time. It was awful - full of glitches and unusable. Have done a system restore to last week so back to where I was, but now can't work out how to reinstall the version of LR Classic (11.5) that I was using before, and obviously can't use the version now installed (for some reason it didn't restore the earlier one). How do I go about sorting this out? Thanks 🙂 

(Not sure if this is a "discussion" or "Bug") [Moderator: Discussion is correct - a bug can only be filed against the current shipping version]   For sometime I have had 29 pending sync files "stuck". Any new files I sync are handled fine, but these 29 stay as pending. See attached screen grab   I would prefer to solve this before updating to ver 13.3   Is there a way to get rid of the pendiing sync files. I have no idea which ones they are. I would be quite happy to just delete the files if I knew which ones they were.   running ver 13.2 on a windows PC   Thanks

Hi,A very simple thing: in the Develop module, if one or several masks need to be updated, a red dot appears on the mask symbol.Instead of having to open the mask panel, right click on a mask and select update in the menu, it would be nicer and faster to right click on the mask symbol and update without having to open the panel.Thanks

Brush for object selection disappears after latest update of Lightroom Classic. In the masking tool when I reach for object selection, the brush/cursor disappears as soon as you move over the image in the selection mode with the brush. The box selection tool works. So you have no idea where your mouse is. It did this a few iterations ago and then was repaired. With no aparent reason I have had issues when importing my photos to lrc recently, it takes hours to do so. I have already tried other suggestions and the only one that kind of worked is resetting my preferences, it worked for my previous import but now it is useless

Hey everyone, for the last year I have been uploading photos to  Lightroom and syncing to the cloud. I've been making edits to these photos and exporting them. I recently discovered that there is a far better approach, to use Lightroom Classic and instead of uploading the photos to the cloud, essentially just maintain a catalog of the changes I've made to those photos indefinitly. My challenge is, getting the over 3k photos from Lightoom Cloud into Lightroom Classic, binding each photo/videos edits to the locally stored ones. I have read all the articles about syncing the files and down from the cloud, I've done that but not clear on how to move the edits from the downloaded images to the originals that I have on my drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Lightroom V13.4 is spontaneously shutting down.  The first few times I just reopened it and continued on my project.  This last time all my work was lost!  I had 735 images of the 3300 shot all ranked and edited and all 5 days of work are gone.  How can I recover my work? For example: What does the Sinchronize Folder do?Where can I access such help?

Lightroom has been rock solid for as long as I can remember. Recently (version 13?) it simply closes for no reason and with no crash info - just vanishes/closes. I may not even be using it (it's running in the background) and it quits. It's totally random when it happens and there is no warning, crash or error code.  Sometimes I can work for 15 minutes before it occurs. My PC continues to run fine. What I've tried: I've updated to 13.0.1 as it listed critical bug fixes and it still simply quits.I've also tried updating my Nvidia Studio drivers, and even rolling them back to earlier versions - no luck.I've done nothing to my PC other than update Lightroom which is when the issue started. I have a super beefy PC (Windows 11) with 64 gigs of ram, 13th gen i9 processor, GeForce 3080 card with 10GB VRAM.Restarted my PC (duh)I've optimized the LR catalog. Still randomly happens. I've also checked my disk drives for errors, none found. I've turned OFF the graphics acceleration

Hallo! Ich finde keinen optimalen Workflow für meine Foto-Verarbeitung. Bin erst voriges Jahr auf MacBook und LrC umgestiegen. Kurz die Ausgangslage in Stichworten: Habe von unserer letzten Italien-Rundreise ca. 800 Fotos mitgebracht. Ca. 500 als NEF, ca. 300 als JPG von unseren iPhones und meiner DJI Pocket 2.  Alle Fotos aussortiert, umbenannt und ca. 500 Fotos in LrC importiert. Dann in LrC entwickelt. Bei ca. 300 Fotos habe ich im Entwicklungsmodul eingegriffen, bei ca. 200 Fotos war kein Eingriff erforderlich (also Originalaufnahme) Solange ich die Fotos in LrC betrachte, sehe ich immer die finale Version der Fotos - also entweder entwickelt oder original. Alles klar. Möchte ich die Fotos allerdings für eine Diashow (Video) verwenden oder an eine andere Person weitergeben, muss ich die entwickelten Fotos natürlich zuvor exportieren. Fragen: in LrC gibt es jetzt Filter für "Bearbeitete/Nicht bearbeitete" und "Exportierte/Nicht exportierte" Fotos. Ok. Somit kann ich alle
