One of a group of similar photo files will not upload. No trouble with its 3 siblings. All parameters are the same or very similar, taken at the same time, three will upload one will not. I tried just taking a screenshot, saving as a .pdf, and THAT won't upload. I've saved as smaller file size, still won't upload. I've copied the file from the sd card again, editing the same file under a different name, and that won't upload. Nor will a screenshot taken from that file. This has happened on ebay and at Craigslist, where that would be the feature photo for selling an item. Fujifilm GFX 100s, Sony SD card, imported as DNG, edited file in ordinary ways, same as the other 3 files. iMac Studio, latest version OS. Oddly enough, it seems to upload here ok --
dear all, I am pretty new to thei nice Community, so please forgive me for my "innocent" question. I do have LRC, LRc, PS which I use to edit my photos. Obviously I appreciate having a Cloud back-up, and online access especially when on the move; but I do prefer the nuances offered by LRC when editing the most interesting photos. Now I do understand (and some ofyou contributed to this in previous posts) that the 2 systems use a separate catalog, though there is some overlapping when syncing (and this part is less clear to me). I really do not get it why does not the ADOBE TEAM (and if it does please let me have the details asap) offer a single catalog you may access through LRC and LRc, on top of local catalogs (separate for each application). Such a system would allow an easy transfer of same photos (w/o losing any edit) between apps. Not to mention that the communication between PS and LR seems poor to me: you lose all the history of edits when coming back from PS to LR (and again if
Hi,I have been using Lightroom 5.0 on my Windows 10 Desktop and also on my Windows 10 laptop for a number of years. I store all my photos in My Pictures folder which resides within OneDrive. I download all photos to both my laptop and desktop so have local copies on both machines. Both machines store the photos on my 😧 drive… so have exact same file directory structure on both machines. And OneDrive keeps all the photos on the desktop and laptop in synch, and I can use Lightroom on both machines to access all the photos. I have replaced my Windows Laptop with a Mac Book Pro. Can anybody explain how I can continue to keep a local copy of all my photos on the Windows 10 Desktop, and the Mac Book Pro… and also use Lightroom to access photos on both machines? I use OneDrive to synch all my photos between the Windows Desktop on the Mac Book Pro. But have not installed Lightroom yet on the Mac Book Pro. I hear that Macs use a differ
Dear Adobe Support Community,I have Lightroom Classic Version 12.1 on Windows 11 installed.When I click on a video file in the libary (in the single picture preview) the Lightroom Classic app crashed and sends the following error report to Adobe: <?xml version="1.0"?><!DOCTYPE AdobeCrashReport SYSTEM "AdobeCrashReporter.dtd"><crashreport serviceVersion="4.8.0.6" clientVersion="4.8.0.6" applicationName="Adobe Lightroom Classic" applicationVersion="12.1" build="[202212072312-d7ab524b]" source="Windows-Client" crashType="n/a"><time year="2023" month="1" day="21" hour="15" minute="15" second="8" timeoffset="60" timezone="Mitteleuropäische Zeit"/><user guid="ed62f0ba-e495-4486-b289-cb8e5f9c3d0c"/><system platform="Windows 10 Pro" osversion="10.0" osbuild="22621" applicationlanguage="de-de" userlanguage="de-DE" oslanguage="de-DE" ram="32614" machine="Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700 CPU @ 3.00GHz" model="Intel64 Family 6 Model 158 Stepping 13" cpuCount="8" cpu
I have been scanning a lot of photographs and trying to use the shortcuts that exist in Lightroom when importing them.I probably used an incorrect shortcut incorrectly, which caused the error and I am having immense difficulty getting out of.I checked the permissions in the folder and they seem to be correct.I even asked Germini and ChatGPT but the answers were inconclusive, not allowing me to overcome the problem.I would not want to reinstall Lightroom in any way because it makes me waste a lot of time.Does anyone here have any interesting and useful suggestion for this purpose ?I would be very grateful.
Dear all, I am having trouble reading my Sony A1 .ARW files after updating to firmware v2.0. Lightroom and Photoshop are unable to open the files, displaying "Preview unavailable for this file". Any help is appreciated, thank you.
I have subscribe to LR Classic about two weeks ago.First few days it worked fine. Now ALL MY PICTURES in all folder are cover by a "veil"I can see them but they are NOT clear and real but cover by a "white transparent veil" What did I did wrong, and how to fix it?Thank you!Jorge Z.
I have been using a single catalog file in LR Classic for the last 4 years. I've been subscribed to LR Photography plan, and I'd the catalog synced to Adobe cloud (just previews) so I could edit from Lightroom on my phone and iPad. It grew in size over time, and it contains thousands of photos. I got a new laptop recently and decided to create a new catalog file. I turned off sync from the old catalog on the old laptop, and turned on sync for the new catalog on LR Classic in the new laptop. But Lightroom will not sync the files from the new catalog. It does not show any error. I checked adobe documentation and online help, did not find anything useful. Has anyone run into this issue? Please share any information that can help solve this issue.
I am using LrC 13.2 with Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1My backup folder for LrC is 541 GB. Can you tell me what I can remove from this folder to reduce it's size in order to free up space on my hard drive? As you can see there are some 1,215 backups.I'm trying to learn about how Backups of the Catalog work and I would appreciate some help in determing what can be gotten rid of.Thank you in advance for any help with this.Firislander.
Today's update fixed one problem but intrduced another....The pixel-shifted file with the NEFX extension at at 180MP resolution can now be open in Lighroom, no problems. That's great. However, if zoomed in to a 100% while in the Library, the file will be correctly rendered and in fact zoomed in to 100%, but when taken to the Develop module, the file wil atuomatically be reduced to a much lower resolution - the normal file size resoluton of 45MP. Why?So it works in Library but not in the Develop modules!
LRc opens, then freezes, then closes. Sometimes it throws off Error mesage: Adobe has found a solution or workaround for you LRc error. I have run all suggested corrective tasks: reset Preferences; updated LRc from V124 to V 13.2; Updated graphics driver GTX 1050 i Max Q; uninstalled and reinstalled LRc; sent laptop, XPS 15 9570, 32 GB Ram to Dell and replaced internal SSD; stopped syncing. Someone tell me how to get Adobe Tech to look at my pc and fix what's keeping LRc from working. Ihave 325 image to finish processing.
I have been using Jeffery Fridel's plugin to publish photos from LR Classic to Google Photos for years now and it has made publishing images to Google Photos albums a breeze. Today however, (5/6/24), when getting ready to publish a group of images I saw all my Publish plugins seem gone. I was able to get the PhotoUpload plugin functioning again, but see that all my dozens of previously published albums (which LRC had continued to list and track) no longer are showing in Lightroom. (They are still out in Google Photos thank goodness). So who broke this? Google? Adobe? At least I can still use the plugin again to publish photos from LR-->Google Photos, but it would be nice if I could again see the list of previously published photos. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Hallo an alle Lightroom -Experten.
Hi there,I am new to Lightroom and need support by experienced users. I have a question concerning the export or print module in Lightroom. I would like to have a number of small images printed on one piece of fine art paper (size: DIN A2) by a printing service. This would be much cheaper than printing single TIFFs on single papers. I do not have a high quality printer and fine art paper at home. My question is: Can I put multiple images as TIFFs on a DIN-A2-template and export everything as a single file in lightroom so that it can be printed elsewhere? At first I tried to go through the export module but I did not see a way to export images to a template this way. Then I tried to use the print module. However, it displayed the Canon printer which I have at home and which I do not want to use. Also, the module only offered "printer" or "jpeg file" as options for finishing the print job. I don´t know which high quality printer the printing service I want to go to uses fo
I started organizing my images with Lightroom CC a while ago. I saved all raw files on my MacBook and imported them to Lightroom CC. Then I wanted to start using Lightroom Classic, so I synced all images from Lightroom CC and downloaded the sync to Lightroom Classic. Unfortunately, Lightroom Classic saved a copy of each raw file on my machine. Now, I have every raw file twice - once in the original folder that I saved it in and the other copy in the folder that Lightroom Classic saved it in. How can I fix this? The files are saved in the folder specified in the path that the screenshot shows.
I hit "import" at 8:15 this morning and it is now 10:15pm and LR has only imported 599 photos and the progress bar is about 25% full. There are probably around 2,000 photos on this card. It's a 128GB card with 300mb write speed. The photos are being imported to an external drive, but the catalog is on my HD. Photos are all raw, I shoot live stage photography and have to be able to adjust the lighting. When I shoot our show I always fill up the card. I used to always hit "import" when I go to bed and it's done when I get up, so less than 7 hours. It's been over 14 hours and it's 25% done. What is going on?? My i9-8700 wit gtx1060 is exporting faster in both lightroom classic/premiere/media encode than my 5950x with rtx 2070. I updated the my windows to 11 thinking it would help but it didn't. Using 2024 premiere and lightroom. Something is stoping adobe to use the cpu/gpu fully, right now i'm transcoding with media encoder using software as it's almost realtime and it's using %100 cpu There is another thread on this from last year with no real answers: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/lightroom-performance-on-5950x-problems/m-p/13344612
I can't seem to find a way to stop Lightroom classic from automatically downloading photos I upload to Lightroom cc mobile. I ONLY want to download photos I select from the cloud into Lightroom classic not all photos. I would like to use Lightroom mobile as a way to do simple edits and send my photos to the cloud storage, then later download certain photos I want to edit more precisely from the cloud storage into Lightroom classic with the more advanced tools. This way I won't need to use up space on my computers hard drive unnecessarily when I already have the photos saved in the cloud.
The JPEG file (BCFC_Original) does not render correctly in my copy of Lightroom Classic. The BCFC_LR_Export file shows what Lightroom displays on my MacBook when opening this file in the Develop Module after importing the original JPEG. It is almost like viewing the image through a thin keyhole... Is this problem unique to my set-up, i.e. is there something I can change to address this?
"Hello Adobe Community,I'm curious about the differences between Lightroom and Lightroom Classic. Both software titles seem to offer similar features, but I'm unsure about their distinctions. Could someone please clarify?Thank you!"
LRc keeps losing my folders and when I specify the location for any of them again it says it is OK and then loses the location again after about twenty seconds. Since I am now missing 479374 photos it is not feasible for me to search for the photos one at a time. Why am I leasing software for $120/year that can't even read its own simple DB for filenames? Is there any simple command to have the program recognize where the photos are now since I had to start using a backup of them on a different drive?
