Lightroom move of files directly to Google drive in the cloud without mirroring to my too small HDD

I have a MacBook Air M1. On a Synology NAS external drive I have 2 TB of pictures that I want Lightroom to create a catalogue for and copy to my Google drive account in the cloud. I don´t want mirroring on my internal HDD on the mac, as it is too small. How do I accomplish this? Can I put Google drive on the NAS and have it to syncronize all the files with the cloud? Regards, Olof

Use Cloud Sync on Synology to sync with Google Drive

I don't believe Lightroom Classic will work with photos not stored locally. Thus, you can't store the photos on Google drive without mirroring and get LrC to work with them. Your alternatives:

  1.  Use an external hard drive to store your photos, instead of the internal HD
  2.  Use the cloud-centric software named Lightroom (not Classic) which stores your photos in the Adobe  cloud.

I changed the title and content of the thread from 'Lighthouse' to 'Lightroom'
