moving book project in LRC to another computer to using LRC to finish

I will try not to be confusing and hope you understand what I am trying to accomplish. 

I have been working with LRC to create a photobook with many pages. I have done most of this with my laptop. Now that I am closer to being done I wanted to transfer the work to my desktop to use LRC and finish up the work.

I have tried to export catalog and inport it on the desktop but it didnt save or I didnt know how to save the settings that where done for the book. So when I re opened LRC to open the new catalog all the settings for  the book was not there.

I am sure someone will know what I am talking about and I will kick myself for finding out that it was a simple fix to get it to work the way I am trying.

My suggestion- To transfer selectively the Book editing (and not the total catalog)-

 

1) Your Book design MUST have been created as a Saved Book Collection in the Collections panel.  like these-

2)  [Right-Click]  on the Saved Book Collection and choose the option- [Export this Collection as a Catalog]

3) You will need to include the 'Negative' files .

4) Transfer (by USB or external drive) this temporary exported catalog to the desktop system where you can then open this exported catalog, or merge it with your main desktop catalog (by [Import from another catalog] including the negative files).

I thought I had done something like that earlier in my testing and I ended up having to start the book all over from scratch. For some reason it would not let me edit or change anything. This time I made sure to have backups and it saved the book under the catalog. At first when I tested on my desktop it didnt seem to work but I had not selected the saved book under the collection and when I did everything was great and I could even do edits, tweaks including replacing, deleting or adding more photos.

thank you, this was a big hurdle for me.
