Question

AI masks don't work in Lightroom web on work laptop, but yes on home laptop

Hi all,

In my personal laptop I have been able to use AI masks (to detect the subject in the picture, for example), in the web version of Ligthroom wiht no problem, just like on the phone's app.

However, I couldn't do the same on the work laptop; I can get into the album, open a picture ans apply regular masks, but when it comes to AI masks, a message pops up indicating that there was and error and suggesting to try the instruction again later. How come?

To add a bit of context: the work computer runs within the corporate network, which is pretty restrictive in terms of cibersecurity when it comes to browsing...

So, does de AI masks use "something special" that could be considered as an inappropiate for the company's firewall? For example, I know for a fact that through the work laptop one cannot access Onedrive, Googledrive, Dropbox.... (cloud storage services).

Thanks in advance for reading me!

Toni.

Hey, @Sr.Pleite. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. As you're working in on a work machine, there could be restrictions with how the Browser can use resources on your machine & the network.

You can ensure all the Adobe Network endpoints are whitelisted in the network and it may help. Other than this, you'll have to seek support from the IT team managing the network and your machine.

Thanks!

Hi Sameer,

Thank you very much for your quick answer (I couldn't read it until today). In my company there is a zero-tolerance policy in terms of cibersecurity; employees can barely do anything that is not work-related. Given your answer, I don't have another choice but to think that it must be at least one of the domains of that list that I don't have access to.

Eventually I'll come back to the problem and try to see in the browser developer window the network requests.

Regards,

Toni.
