I’m a student using an Adobe account through my college (my college is small and had no IT support). It works fine on my school Mac, but I keep getting Error 205 when trying to use it on my personal Windows 11 PC.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Signed in and out of my account multiple times.
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Creative Cloud (even used the Cleaner Tool).
  • Ran this command to clear cached credentials:

for /F "tokens=1,* delims= " %G in ('cmdkey /list ^| findstr /c:"Adobe App "') do cmdkey /delete %H

  • Tested on different networks, including a mobile hotspot.
  • Updated Windows, all my drivers

*This is just what i remember off the top of my head i know ive tried more ill let you know if ive tried them already*

The error just won’t go away. My school doesn’t have an IT person, so I’m stuck. They mentioned maybe resetting my account, but I don’t know if that’ll fix it, and Adobe support won’t talk to me directly because it’s a school account.

Any ideas on what to try next? Or advice on how my school can reset my account if that might help?

    Thanks a ton!!!

Please be more detailed what you're trying to do when the error message appears.
