Want to add a photo image to a PDF document.

I recently got a iPhone 16 Pro Max. Unfortunately, I can't open Can't open HEIC in CameraRaw even with the latest software updates (Photoshop/Bridge/Lightroom, etc) installed (8/4/2025). I have all the relevant windows extensions and codecs installed (Windows 11 V 24H2 current as of this date). Preferences-->Camera Raw--->File handling I am only presented with JPEG, TIFF, AVIF, and JPEG XL. When I do open an iOS file it goes directly past CameraRaw to the desktop with no oppurtunity to do anything else. On MACs there is an option for this file format. It seems a lot of trouble to open to the desktop, export as a JPEG and then go through the process again. There is a notable loss of quality. With MAC OS immensly popular just as Windows and iPhones extremely common, is there a simple fix to add an option for this format other than the ones listed above? Often when I use generative expand & fill to create a new part of my work, it leaves a line where the fill did its thing. I cannot figure out how to remove the line to create a smooth image. Instead it's obviously darker than whatever color my original image is, and leaves a line where I placed the box to create the fill. Any ideas how to fix/avoid this? My example shows the vertical line on each side of the image where I used generative expand & fill. 

Every time I try to export as png, or export as, I get this error message. Additionally, when I start photohsop I am met with an empty screen, and cant access the home workspace. I have upgraded everything, uninstalled and reinstalled, updated my computer, everything. This happens randomly every month or two and lasts for a few days to a week. Can't seem to find any info how to fix this, and the only option seems to just wait it out. 

This is not a file with .psd extension. This file is created when saving custom workspace of Ps. Unwittingly, I opened this with Ps, that is why it shows Ps icon, othewise it is blank. How to get rid of this icon?

Hi, I have encountered a bug when trying to create a new video layer and I am looking for advice.When attempting to create a new blank video layer through the layer menu following these steps - Document Creation:File > New > HDTV 1080p (1920 x 1080 px @ 72 ppi)Once Document is Created:Layer > Video Layers > New Blank Video Layer - the actual Video Layers option no longer appears on the menu, I don't mean that it is disabled or greyed out, I mean that it actually isn't there (see image). I have installed and ran an older version of photoshop in an attempt to fix the issue but the exact same problem was present. I have checked this forum for similar posts but have not been able to find any posts matching this specific problem. To the best of my knowledge I haven't messed around with anything that could cause this kind of issue, but I'm not 100% sure. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this? Windows 11 Pro RTM 21H2 (OS Build 22000.376) - clean install.Currently have Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Lightroom Classic, Bridge and the Creative Cloud app installed on my PC, yet none of the shortcuts for those programs appear in the Windows Start Menu. These items should definitely be there.And since I have both PS & LR pinned to the taskbar I can access the programs and they appear to be working as I just used them Sunday. However, if I want to use an app not pinned to the taskbar, I have to "search" for the item as they don't appear in the Start Menu. Anyone else seeing this?

I am writing to report a persistent issue I’ve encountered when exporting files from Adobe Photoshop to PDF. Normally, when I export a Photoshop file that contains vector text and shape layers, the exported PDF preserves those elements as vector graphics, which scale without pixelation when zoomed in.However, in a recent project, despite ensuring that:- The text layers are editable and not rasterized- Shape layers are not flattened- No Smart Objects or Layer Styles were applied- The file resolution is 300 ppi- I used the “Save As > Photoshop PDF” method with “High Quality Print” preset…the resulting PDF renders all elements as rasterized images. When I zoom in on the text, it appears pixelated, as if flattened.This behavior is inconsistent with previous exports using similar settings. I’ve been a long-time Adobe user, but lately, I've hit a breaking point and I know I'm not the only one.GenAI has become increasingly unreliable. It often spits out low-quality results, and users like me have to go through multiple attempts just to get anything close to usable. That trial-and-error process burns time and energy... and now Adobe wants us to pay more for that experience? Honestly, it feels like we're being charged for cleaning up the AI's mess.What really stings is the way this new policy shift was handled. I have tiff files created with Sketchbook app (formerly Autodesk Sketchbook), and I only see one layer when I open them with Photoshop on desktop.

Hi,   I never had this problem before. I've been working on a project in Photoshop and for some reason, it is now only working in grayscale. When I used the color picker to change color, it doesn't work.  I know remember doing anything different to cause it to work only in grayscale, but I can't seem to figure out how to switch it back to color mode and I'm in the middle of an important project. Photoshop need add a 'Second Monitor Preview' native feature to Photoshop. It is crazy in 2025 we still don't have this feature. I know you can open a second window for a file then drag it to a second monior but this is a a pain when you are working with lots of different files. When I am working on my photography in Lightroom (which does nativly support a second monitor). I often open the file into photoshop to make some more extensive edits which need more than LRC. As Photoshop doesn't have native second monior support it means that for each file I open I have to open a new window then drag it to the second monitor. When the file is closed I have to close both windows to get back to LRC. This is a poor workflow for apps for professional creative artists. Please add the feature!! 

I've downloaded a pictures I've taken into photoshop and it has destroyed the quality of it.  I've had photoshop for years and no issues until now.  I've tried the desktop and also the web and same issues.  I've tried different pictures same issues.  Please help.

I just upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and I cannot get my Photoshop brushes from my old computer to my new computer. I went into Drive C, and navigated to presets, and copied the brushes from there, but they will not load. I tried Importing the brushes within Photoshop without any luck. Should I have done it a different way? 

Although I have used Photoshop and Lightroom for many years, I only started using Content Credentials recently, basically to tag the image I took and publish in the internet. However when I export and image with "Export As" from a JPG or a PSD, it does no allow you to incorporate the content credentials. Only when I create a new file blank and copy the image, only then it will add the content credentials. The same happens in Lightroom Classic if I export a file to jpg, it does allow to add the content credentials, however the file created, has no contact credentials.I am using a Mac with M2 chip and the latest version of Photoshop and Lightroom, both have full access to the disk as well as internet connection.Anyone has encountered this issue?

the toolbar of generative fill is missing

Hi there![Windows 11 Pro] Any chance that I could keep my Workspace Prefs while switching from an old computer to a new one? Would also be a switch from version 25.12.4 to 26.9.0Thanks

I just used the perspective warp tool with no issue a few weeks ago, and now it's acting very differently. When I select a quad, switch to warp mode, and start pulling a corner, the entire image warps instead of just the selected area. Please advise, I'm going crazy! Thanks in advance. 

My stamp tool isn't working and I don't know how to get it working again. I tried resetting it, I've changed the layers and I tried to deselect with CMD+D and nothing seems to be working. Does anyone know what I should do?

Seems like this is a relatively old issue but wanted to bring it up for further visibility as well as see if anyone in the community has a fix. I'm recently looking to upgrade and purchased a Huion Kamvas 16 gen 3 and I love everyhign about the hardware except this issue. Basically, when you use the shift + brush function try to create a straight line, the initial click uses brush tip minimum pressure and the end click uses brush tip MAXIMUM pressure. This makes the function incredibly difficult to use without adjusting brush settings each time you want to use it. Most people sketch somewhere between min and max pressure and rarely hit those limits. So when you want to create a straight line stroke between

Using a Huion Kamvas 22 Plus, PS CC, Win10, the pressure for brush size works fine in freehand drawing. Even when holding shift and drawing a straight horizontal line, the line strenght corresponds to pen pressure. As soon as I try to draw straight lines by drawing start and end point, the pressure is seemingly ignored completely, the lines come out thin, sometimes at random going from thick to thin.  PS CC updated, Huion Win 10 driver up to date (no older versions available as its a new model I believe) I tried it with ticked and unticked windows ink setting in the Huion App, makes no difference. Also tried using the PSUserconfig.txt fix to use win tab, as that seemed to resolve some pressure sensitivity issues for other users - this only resulted in pressure sensitivy to stop working altogether when win ink is UNflagged in the Huion App. No change to the straight line issue either way.  Any suggestions appreciated (especially where the root of the proble

When I open Photoshop today, my files aren't opening when I double click on them in the Recent list.  Nor do they open if I right click on them in File Explorer and choose Open with Photoshop.  Not sure what is happening here.  Any ideas?  Thanks.
