Questions

I have this bug that drives me insane and maybe someone can help me. Whenever I want to simply draw a line with the object tool, an arrow is created instead. I already clicked everywhere throught the parameters but could not find a solution. Help ist very much appreciated! 

Hi, I'm working on the latest Photoshop 2025 version on Mac Studio 2025 (M4 Chip) and everytime my computer goes to sleep, the panels move to the side of the screen. I work on two monitors and keep all the panels on my secondary screen. I've tried resetting workspace, locking panels, everything and it still moves to the side of the screen.  Can anyone help? 

I am considering of buying a M2 Mac mini base model which is 8GB/256GB for photo editing and lot of sources say that it won't be good enough. I do not edit large files for now and even if I had it's very rare. I'm currently using a Windows Pc and it's getting slow when I started to using that. I just want to edit photos and that's the main reason, and I usually don't work with large files. What should I do?

Photoshop version 26.6.1  Lightroom Classic version 14.3 on an iMac 15.4.1 with lots of system resources (system should not be the issue)This has been an ongoing issue for the last few updates. When I am finished in photoshop and go to save back to Lightroom Classic or just save to harddrive I get the message that the file exceeds the tiff allowance of 4 gig?. The latest files in question are 1.49, 1.69 and 2.64 gig files, so they are well under the 4 gig allowance. They should save as tiffs shouldn't they? 

Buenos días, tengo problemas al arrancar Photoshop . El programa empieza arrancando bien, pero luego al iniciarlo o bien se queda colgado, o bien abre y luego no deja cargar otra foto . No se si es que no lee los archivos dng. Les adjunto capturas de pantalla , de los fallos. He probado a desinstalar e instalar de nuevo, pero los fallos continúan. Tengo que preparar unas fotos para una exposición y tengo que mandar al laboratorio las fotos, con lo que voy muy muy justa de tiempo. Muchas gracias. 

Help, à chaque nouvelle mise à jour, mon pinceau de l'outils "amélioration des cheveux" malgré que la dureté soit à 0, est dure dans le détourage et c'est une catastrophe dans le résultat. Je suis photographe canin et pour avoir un détourage correct du chien c'est impossible... C'est la deuxième fois que cela m'arrive, un agent technique a du intervenir à distance et travailler dans les préférences des pinceaux... mais je n'ai jamais eu le resultat d'avant où mes détourages étaient impeccables ... Quelqu'un peut-il m'aider? J'avais pensé installer une ancienne version mais visiblement on ne sait plus... Je travaille sur pc Lenovo Legion AMD Ryzen 7 + NVDIA 4070

Hi, I have an iPF 8400. I have the image size set to 18x24 and the paper size to 30"x30" yet it still comes out 1/4" too short. I don't know much about printing and would love any help available for this issue. Thank you in advance!

I have opened this red SVG border from lightburn (PS rasterized it) and would like to turn it into a black line image. You can barely see it in the screenshot and the line has a notch on the bottom.Thanks for any help.PS 2020 

Pop-ups  werent appearing with 'Deselect'  and 'Generative Fill' options when I was using any/all selection tools.  SOLUTION: I went to the bar at the top (File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks etc) and clicked on 'Window' where a drop down menu appears. Down near the bottom of the list I made sure 'Contextual Task Bar' was selected (a tick should appear to the left of it when it's engaged). Since then I have my pop-up task bar back every time. 

This is what Photoshop replaced an area when trying to remove a sticker on the window.. This is really serious. It's obcene and disgusting to say the least...ADOBE- you still have some major issue to fix. Fyi... I will be posting this everywhere. You must take these issues with AI seriously! Version of Photoshop 26.5.0

STOP WITH POPUPS ABOUT WHAT VERSION OF PHOTOSHOP I'M RUNNING. I RUN THE MOST STABLE VERSION OF THIS [cursing removed] APP.

Until VERY recently since I used this VERY often every day, when using the wacom pen buttons that grabs screen to move it, similar to holding spacebar while using the Lasso tool, I could click that button to move the screen when drawing lasso lines and it would temporarily hold positiong and when I click down where I want to continue and let go of the button, it would instantly connect from where it left off straight to where I am continuing at and allow me to finish where I am drawing without having to let go and hold shift and drawing complete areas to keep adding over and over again. This also would help speed up time if I needed a larger area and a straight line, so it was great.   I literally stopped editing photos for a short couple weeks to focus on video edits and come back to editing photos and bam.....broken and no longer does that.  Every time I click the button to do it or hold shift down, it just auto completes a straight ish area like a drunk drew a st

Bonjour, Je viens d'acheter un MacBook M4 pro.J'ai opéré la migration depuis mon iMac i5 sous Catalina.J'ai sur cet iMac l'abonnement Photo PS + LR qui ne peut plus se mettre à jour car Mac trop vieux🙄Je fonctionne donc avec la version v 23.5.5Maintenant sur mon MacBook Pro, lorsque je veux ouvrir PS, j'ai un message me demandant d'installer Rosetta, car la version de PS que j'ai, ne tourne pas nativement sur les puces M d'Apple. Existe-t-il un moyen d'installer PS et LR natif pour mon MacBook  Pro?, ou bien suis-je obligé d'installer Rosetta ?Peut-etre dois-je désinstaller PS et LR puis re-télécharger ? Hallo,vielleicht hat jemand einen Tipp zur Lösung eines lästigen PS-Problems:Heute zeigt PS (25.12.0) einen Fehler, der zuletzt unter CS4 aufgetaucht ist. Beim Kopie speichern (geht für jpgs aus irgendeinem Grund nur noch so) wird der Dateiname ab einem Punkt im Namen abgeschnitten. D.h. ich muss den kpl. Namen kopieren und dann wieder einfügen, was schon bei der Bearbeitung von >5 Bildern samt entsprechender Ergänzung des Namens extrem lästig ist.Ich vermute, ich muss mit diesem Rückschritt um ca. 15 Jahre leben, aber vielleicht gibt es ja doch einen Trick, dass PS beim Speichern als jpg den kpl. Dateinamen behält.Bisher fällt mir nur ein, zu einer älteren PS-Version zurückzukehren und die automatischen Updates (wieder) abzustellen. Gibt es eine Alternative?Vielen Dank für Eure Mühen!

Hello everyone! I started having a new problem with the v26.6 update of Photoshop. I am an illustrator, and when I am painting in Photoshop and choosing colors with the eyedropper, sometimes Photoshop crashes. Do you know why this happens, or is it just me? I have now reinstalled v26.5. I would be very grateful if you could help.I am using a Mac Mini M4 base version and a Cintiq Pro 22.

Hello, Photoshop community. Can someone please help me? I am using Photoshop 2024  version 25.12.0. I am trying to use generative fill. What is happening is the generative AI panel appears with it  trying to generate three samples (variations panel), but then the panel disappears and I can't find where it is.

I'm a fairly new user of Photoshop specifically, coming from using other drawing applications.  I can't figure out how to overwrite a brush's settings, so as to save it in-place as the same brush I was using, name and all, but updated with my new changes to it.  What I gather is that you click "Create New Brush" at the bottom of the Brushes window, or "New Brush Preset" from the triple bar icon's dropdown at the top of that window, and save yourself a new brush with a new name, that includes the changes you've made to your preset.  And now you have a new brush that is in many ways identical to the brush you were using, and since all you really wanted to do was *slightly change* the brush in the first place (e.g., lower the scale of the texture), you now have to delete the first brush, since you no longer need it and it'll just end up creating visual clutter in the brush group?  I could be missing something really obvious, but I have a feeling this is just

Everytime I try to edit raw images, Photoshop does not open the images and freezes my computer!  When I use Affinity photo, I do not have any problem openning raw images. This is getting vey frustrating!!!!!! Should I cancel my subscription?

I process my images through Adobe Bridge- Cameraw- Photoshopi have two versions of photoshop loaded ie V 26.6.1 and Beta 26.8. How do I make the settings in Camera Raw which allows it to open the version of Photoshop I want. 

When using the marque tool I'd be able to hit backspace and the inside part of the tool would revert back to what was on the first layer. It suddenly stopped a week ago, now hitting backspace does nothing. I updated it today to the newest version, and still no luck. I've tried reseting prefrences and still nothing. Windows 10. 

I've tried multiple photos of people on a white background and the select subject is not selecting the person. I had no issues yesterday. I did do an update today and I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop but that didn't work.  I'm on a 2019 16-inch Macbook Pro.  Any other suggestions? I'm at a loss. 

Hello all, Developer here, trying to create a script to help me create a large photoshop document. I have a list of file names, and the x/y positions (I can change this input in any way to make it easier for PS to read). All of the file names are an existing .psd file. If I were to do this manually, I would do:1. File > Place embedded... > Select the file from my file browser > Ok2. Set the X and Y coordinates for the newly embeded object(however, I'd need to do this over 400 times manually, thus the script) I have tried my absolute best to navigate the PDF documentation (wtf Adobe), but I can't even figure out how to embed an existing .pdf file into the current document from a file path (I've seen some examples of using a filepicker, but that doesn't work). Without even getting past that I don't know how to place it via the X/Y coords. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please let me know if there's any more information I can provide to help.

Hi everyone. I have done some light trail photography and I am stacking the photos together on my iPad.I wish there is an Auto-alignment function in Photoshop for iPad but unluckily there isnt.So I need to drag different layers of images to align them manually. And then I found another problem. I couldn't drag the images pixelwise. Even the smallest move is about a 10-pixel increment. I cant really align the images precisely. Does anyone have a soloution for this?
