Question

Installing older versions of Photoshop on an older Mac

Hi all,

Can anyone help please. I want to run an older version of Photoshop like 2020 on my mac as it works quicker with older versions, but every time I try to choose an older version of Photoshop to install, it just keeps reverting to the new one 2023, which does not function well on my mac (possibly because of my graphics card). I have already turned off update automatically.

Windows has an 'Open With' option via right click, that has an 'Always use' option.  Does Finder have something like that?

Finder does, but not sure he wants to do that for all file types he uses especially if 2023 is not working out. Best to uninstall it for the time being.

I believe you must first uninstall 2023 first from your CC Desktop app, because it stll has the file associations. You may also have to uninstall/reinstall 2020 to be sure it has the corect associations.
