Elements 15 Organizer worked fine, but now hangs on import

I am using Elements and Elements Premiere 15, and the Organizer always imported from my Sony DSC-HX50V just fine. It has now stopped working- when I try to import I get the blue "wait" wheel revolving, and eventually Windows tells me the program has stopped responding. I then close it.

I am using Windows 10, 64 bit, and the camera is connected via USB. I can copy the files across manually, but it is nicer to have Organizer do this, as it automatically creates a new daily folder and deletes the files from my camera once copied.

As I say, Organizer 15, and before that 13, have been importing from this camera with no problems for years now. The same thing happens both in Elements and Elements Premiere.
