In Adobe Photoshop Elements 13, can we access and work with pictures that were uploaded to Photoshop Elements/Premier Elements 14?

We have both Photoshop Elements 14 and Premier Elements 14 on our desktop, Windows 10 computer.  The slide show creation workspace does not function, so we are unable to create slide shows.  We also have a (trial) copy of Photoshop Elements 13 on this computer.  The slide show workspace does work.  We have continued to upload pictures to 14.  Are pictures uploaded to 14 accessible to 13 and is the full range of editing/organizing/etc functions available?  If so, how?
