I recently upgraded from Photoshop elements 16 to 24.  after tye upgrade Organizer locked up and now says the the last time an abnormal exit was detected and will not load the Catalog.  I uninstalled the program and reinstalled and had the same result.  Now I can' view my pictures.  What is the solution?

I created an image in QuarkXPress. It includes a photo and text. I wanted to use a logo with a transparent background. I have the logo created in Photoshop Elements. I have saved it in multiple formats. Everytime I place the image with the transparent background in Quark the transparent background reverts to white. I am exporting the final image out of Quark and into PE. Is there a way to overay the transparent background image in Photoshop Elements?

Hi again, I have this question but I don't remember if it was solved yet.In my current workflow, I see this:(the preview of the layers don't show up anymore). Do you know why, or if is a bug?  Detail: It's since I use Photoshop elements that happens this. At the beginning, I can see the preview of each layer, but after a while when I working, or make some 'merge', the preview disappear. Thanks again for the help in advance! 

I just bought a new Macbook (MacOS Sonoa) and migrated the contents of the old one to the new one. I bought and downloaded a new elements 2024 and it installs fine, but it won't start. I realzied that I had an older elements version (2018) on my old Mac, the license from old employer had expired. I tried to remove the older version using the uninstall option but got an error “{C630723C-FEF3-4E76-83AD-05059121301A}” needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of MacOS. Contact the developer for more information.Any idea, how I can remove the old Elements/Premiere version Adobe states not to just trash them.Many thanksCAR 

I have a new 26 inch Asus monitor.  I used to be able to modify the displayed PSE Window horizontally and vertically to adjust it's size.  In PSE 2024 I can modify the PSE displayed window vertically but not horizontally.  I usually have mulitple Windows open.  I can modify the Windows of other open software vertically and horizontally but not the PSE window.What setting do I need to choose to adjust the PSE window horizontally? Thanks in advance.

I installed PSE Organizer 2024 and downloaded many images into it.  If I have more than one image on the screen, the file names and the rating tags of the images are not displayed.  My previous versions of PSE always displayed file names and rating tags underneath an image. What setting do I change to display file names and rating tags underneath images?Thanks in advance.

BACKGROUND: Purchased new Win11 pc to replace Win10 pc.  Called Adobe to ask if my old v2015 Photoshop Elements & Premier Elements could be backed up & restored to v2024 on new pc.  Help agent assured me it could be done. He sent website links to show how to do it.  Downloaded programs OK.RESTORE ATTEMPTSRead instructions and knew this wasn’t going to be easy.  My v2015 was stored in a custom location and usernames for the pcs were different.  Talked with several Adobe help agents. First attempt was not successful.  Catalog was converted.  Restore Original Folder Structure worked except halfway down the path it created an extra user folder and another folder with the wrong username, sending my pictures to a location that doesn’t exist, preventing them from reaching new Pictures directory.  All pictures would be shown as “missing links”.  I was then told the v2015 catalog could not be restored directly--would be a two-step proces

Looking for the Elements visual dictionary. The help feature attached to the Elements editor lists a link to it, but Im being sent to a general guide page wherein I dont see any such item. A search for it thru the Adobe site lists this item, but again takes me to the same general user guide page. Where is the visual dictionary? It seems like it would be a handy reference to photgraghy and graphic design terminlogy of which Im not familiar.George 

When I rename a catalog in Photoshop Elements, the software seems to create a new catalogue by adding a folder in the location where my catalogs are with the new catalog name and copying the relivant files.   I noticed that the folder with the old catalog name is not deleted and is seems like all of hte relivant files are still there.  I did not expect this, thining ti would just remane the catalog folder name.  Do I have this correctly.  Is there any harm done by deleteing the old catalog files and folder? Thanks for the help. Tom

Bonjour,  Y a t il un moyen de sauvegarder le tri des photos qu'on fait manuellement sur Adobe Bridge? En effet, à chaque fois que je trie manuellement mes photos sur Adobe Bridge, en les classant par couleur et sujet par exemple, une fois fermé Adobe Bridge, jquand je réouvre, je ne retrouve pas mon tri manuel et toutes les photos sont de nouveau désorganisées. Je n'ai pas trouvé le moyen de sauvegarder ce tri manuel qui m'est très utile pour composer un projet de livre. Merci de votre aide 

I am working with Photoshop Elements and suddenly the punctation in my text box is appearing at the beginning of the line instead of at the end. I see fixes for this online for the full Photoshop program, but not elements. I have already reset the type tool, as well as reset all the preferences, and restarted the program. It is typing in English and when I go to a different program (ie Microsoft Word) this does not happen. There is some setting in Elements that got messed up and I can't figure it out. How do I correct this?

Hi,After using using Apple's Migration App for my new Macbook I find that Photoshop Elements 2022 won't open. 

Elements 2024 I can't find a way to add a custom subfolder name format for use on import.  The Advanced Dialog has a number of options but they all include the day dd.  I prefer to store my photos by month, preferably in the form yyyy mm.Custom Name takes the actual characters you type into the box.  Custom Groups (Advanced) has a lot of further options, but not the one I want.  Can  I create a new format anywhere?To be clear this is only for the subfolder name being created on import.  I don't want to change the filenames.

Hi I am using elements 10 and when using the edge refine section, there are no brush tools available to use. Only tool available to use are zoom and hand tool. Can you help please.

Ever since yesterday, every time I open PSE2022, I'm prompted to sign in with my Adobe ID in order to agree to terms and conditions. I sign in, and it redirects me to a page telling me that I'm "all set" and that I can close the tab and return to the application. However, the application does not recognize that I've signed in and accepted the terms and conditions, and I have to just manually close the sign-in prompt. This keeps happening every time I open the application, and it's really annoying. This is a legally purchased and activated copy of PSE2022 that I have been using without issue since earlier this year, and it's only now begun to have this problem.

Jan 2024. Smart Blur crashes Photoshop Elements. Increased usage under Performance to 90% as well as all other suggestions in various forums. I haven't purchased the latest version. Is this how Adobe makes our software obsolete like HP was doing? Or is this an update bug?     Subject edited by moderator to reflect post content.  Started just this week. Been using artistic effects since xmas. Send a photo over and click on say, expressionist, and it goes brown at 100% - slide it back to o% and it turns to orignal photo colors. Everything else is working as usual. I uninstalled, and reinstalled, and nothing changed. 

I have Elements and Premier 2022 on my PC and would like to make my new MacBook Air a second computer. But in my account, the only downloader is for PC. Where can I find the Mac downloader?

 Really wierd, without PSE 21 Organizer open, no issues cutting, pasting, moving files around Files Explorer.But once PSE open, and try to copy an image from the organizer to a Folder in file explorer, everything becomes painfully slow selecting, copying, pasting any files within the explorerer. I turned off watched folders think may be a cause, but no issues. Somehow PSE seems to be affecting the Windows File Explorer. ITried a few things and online hints but to no avail and looked extensively online, but can't seem to see any similar issues.My machine is reasonablty fast i7, 10th gen, lots of RAM, so don't think issue there.Any suggestions be great!🙂

I have no idea how else to explain this, so I could be off.  I opened Elements 2021 the other day and the foreground color box is split (see attached image). I have no idea how or why, but I'd love to get it back to normal. In the attached image you can see the arrow pointing towards how the foreground color is split and what the rest of the screen looks like.  Before I reinstall, is there some setting I'm missing here. Running a Macbook Pro - Sonoma (OS 14).

Unlike Photoshop product, it's a purchase and not a monthly or annual subscription but for the Photoshop product (and many others) on the Abode products website, you can choose the offer according to your profile (individual and self-employed, student or teacher, company) and there may be different rights of use.On the other hand, for Photoshop Elements 2024product, there's only one offer on the site (for single-person purchase), so you can't choose according to your profile. What are the rights of use for a freelancer? Can we make commercial use of our creation? I only plan to use the software's functions to modify images, videos, content and music resources from outside Adobe and with licenses allowing modification and commercial use, or content of my own creation/property; and I want to make commercial use of

new OS will not work with photoshop elements 12 so I restall the OLD back & Photoshop E-12,connect /retry dont work after ender my #'s & activation/deactivation dont have any mac under it.

1.  When I open Organizer and select People,  I see a mostly empty screen, and then I select Places and go back to People, only then do I see faces.  After I add names to some faces the screen reverts to mostly empty, and I repeat the Places-People maneuver.  Is this the program behavior that others experience? 2.  Is there any reason to buy PSE 2024?  Do upgraders get any discount?  

I use PE 14 and when I try to create a panorama using photomerge in Guided edit mode, I keep getting the message "Documents must be saved before they can be merged"  Save where?  I open the photos I want to merge, they show up in the photo bin, I select them (CTRL + Enter), but when I hit the "create panorama" button, I just get the same message above and won't let me go any further.  Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?..
