Questions

Problem arises when I save an image for the web, either a .jpg or a .tif image.  Everything appears to work as normal until I choose save, when the save for web screen vanishes as does PSE 14.  This is something new.   The other anomaly I note is that when I attempt to save a .tif image in the save for web area,  the image appears as a .gif and I have to change that to a .jpg.  Anyone have a suggestion on what's going on?

how can I delete an album (empty but for one photo that does not belong there) in Elements organizer...and how can I create catalogues from my photo files?

I was just working on Photoshop Elements 2020, when I went to close out it had an update.  So I updated; but it failed.  Then I tried to open Photoshop Elements again and just a blank screen appears; see attachment.  I tried rebooting the computer but nothing; just this blank screen.  And now when I try to open it, I get "do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device - Elements Organizer 2019" ?????  Also, when I have the blank screen open, I open task manager and it shows four apps open (Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020; Elements Auto Creation 2020 (?); and two PhotoshopElementsLive (see attachment).  When I try to "end task" on a PhotoShopElementsLive, a line shows up on the blank screen "chromewebdata" (again see attachment).  Please help!  I need to use PSE, but it won't open.  I am using Windows 10 and tried rebooting.    

If not what version of Adobe Elements & Premier are?

I am using Adobe Photoshop Element 2019 The picture on the left is open in Photoshop The picture on the right is Windows 10 Not only is the Photoshop picture red....which we were NOT that red,  but blurry also What has changed in Photoshop? Can I make adjustments somewhere. Can anybody tell what the recommended maximum number of media files is?I have approx 140k images - including approx 10k video files.  It took more than one week for my six core, 16gig RAM PC to perform the face recognition.  Now I´m trying to create a backup of the catalog - after around half an hour it tels me, that my system has not enough ressources to complete the backup. 70gig free space on the main ssd 600gig free space on the data hdd5,5gig RAM used / 16gig total I didn´t found any information about limitations.    

Maybe a couple months ago I opened photoshop and it looked normal but when I started working on a project the screen would go grey when I clicked on the screen to work. For example when im erasing a back ground and dragging the eraser across the image the work screen goes grey. When I let go the image or regular screen comes back up. So I can then see what I earased. But I'm basically working blindly and it is driving me crazy. Any idea on how to fix this?  P.S. I am no pro. I know the basics. I am working on a Mac.

I have recently installed PS Elements 2021 and am workin through the Organizer to get my photos all imported. I tried the slideshow option just to see how it works. When I play it back within the program, I get a ton of fine green horizontal lines with the slideshow playing in the background. If I export the slideshow and play it on the same machine, it works fine. There are you tube videos complaining of the same problem for people using Adobe Premier, which I don't have loaded up. There solution is to use FnQ to access a quick look at how the laptop uses the video card/driver and then change it to 'auto'. I tried that but no change. I also went to the video card maker's site and downloaded a file that allows me to update drivers and change the main use of the driver. I changed mine from 'gaming' to 'studio' but that didn't help either. Any ideas? I'm using a Lenovo laptop with an i7 - 10 Gen processor. The video card is nvidia Geforce GTX with 6 MG. A portion of our logo has a particular shape to it.I want to be able to place another image into it, superimpose I suppose.Attached is the shape of our logo.  Sorry about the edging.  I want to be able to place another image such as the other one attached so it "replaces" the green in the logo. I think you do it with Masks, but not sure.  I have another software package that is old-hat, that can do it, but it would be better if I can do it in Photoshop Elements. 

When I start the update of Adobe Photoshop Elements, Internet Explorer is automatically opened. But I don't use that anymore, and I even had deleted it from my laptop.I only want to use Chrome, thus also for this update.How to solve this? Erna

Can anyone give me a step by step guide on how to print the same image multiple times on one sheet of paper. I am using Photoshop Elements 2021 with Windows 10. 

I suspect there is an easy answer to this that I'm just missing.I have a fair sized photo library that has been built and cataloged using Photoshop Elements for several years (approximately 30,000 photos). For the last few years, I have had the media on removable media (SD card in my laptop). I am moving to a new laptop that doesn't support the same removable media and, since there is plenty of space on the system drive, it will simplify things to just move the media back to the system drive where it was years ago. It isn't as simple as using the Elements catalog backup since it just backs up the catalog info and not the media.Is there an Elements tool that will help move all the media back to the system drive as I move systems (while retaining all the catalog and other metadata)?

My PSE catalog is stored on my desktop computer (Win 10 Pro) and all my photos are stored on a network attached storage device (\\NAS_current).  For reasons un-related to photoshop, I need to rename the network storage device (\\NAS_newname).  However, after renaming the NAS, PSE cannot find the photos, even though the directory structure on the NAS is unchanged.  If I rename the NAS back to its original name, everything is fine.My question is, how can I rename the NAS and get PSE to recognize the new location and honor all the tags, facial recognition, captions, etc.?Thanks for any hints or suggestions.

Can anyone help with Photoshop Elements 13 crashing when I click the print button.Tried a new installation and updates but still crashes.

My Photoshop elements will no longer run on my laptop, with Windows 10. I click on the icon with no result. If I try to run as administrator the "Allow Changes" screen appears, and that is as far as I get.

I have color photo that I would like make part of it B&W and leave the rest color. I tried using masks but I can't seem to get it to work.Thanks.

Since I have a few days left of my 2021 Elements trial, I thought I would do a few more things to get it to work.I deleted and reinstalled the program, again.I deleted all the Catalogs from my hard drive, named a new Catalog, and reinstalled all the images in the new Catalog.Made sure I selected 4 images with thumbnails connected to the main image - no disconnected images to start.Ran the collage utility.Saved it. Done.The Organizer showed the collage image.  Clicked on the new collage in the Organizer and the "disconnected" screen appeared, again as usual.  I let the "connect" utility run its course, 45-minutes worth.  Twice.  Nothing.Hints?  

When I opened PS 2020 I recceived and update notice. I began the update. After about 80% update the download stopped. I closed the window. I tried to reopen my PS and received a crash notice. I can no longer open PS. I have rebooted my computer. What can I do to get my PS? 

Hi gang!   First of all I'd like to go a little offtopic by sharing my admiration for Photoshop Elements. Last weekend I decided that I should get something different that "the other software" I've been using and one thing led to another. I grabbed PSE 2020 from the Microsoft store and I'm very happy with all its features. The Organizer was a bit of a surprise for me but a welcome one at that. I still got a lot to learn for sure, but so far I'm making good progress on the basics. Even managed to draw straight rectangles despite the new "Verdoezelen" (Dutch) option 😉   Now, although I don't see a direct need to upgrade I'm still curious if the version I got from the Microsoft store would qualify for an upgrade discount? Reason I ask should be obvious: I read that you need to have a registration number for the upgrade to authorize and as far as I can tell I don't have that. I have checked my Microsoft receipt which lists an order number but nothing which resembles a ser

I was able to download Photoshop 2020 (which I had on my old computer) to my new iMac but it won't load the Photo Editor.   I know I can't run on both computers at the same time.I had the trial for Elements 2021 which ended and I made sure to trash it so that shouldn't be the problem I would think.   

I am using Adobe Elements 2021version 19.0 on a recently purchased iMac 27" 2020. I have imported about 80,000 photos from a number of subfolder on my Macintosh HD. Sometimes (and sometimes not) a second Macintosh HD folder shows up in the folder tree and sometimes (and sometimes not) it has a number behind it and sometimes (and sometimes not) it and all subfolders are greyed out. When I try to view a single photo it is often of low quality and sometimes (and sometimes not) it says the photo is not connected and it can't find the photo. Sometimes this problem goes away by itself and sometimes doing a catalogue optimization solves it, but sometimes it doesn't. When I say "sometimes" I mean sufficiently often that Elements is essentially unusable becase I don't know whether it's going to work or not. What is going on?  

I have PSE 2018 on a laptop and now I want to install it on my new desktop. Is that allowed? If so, why can't I install it on the desktop. After I try to aneter the code, I get a message that my email has been used before. 

Hello, i've bought PSE 2020 and installed it in Catalina, no problem.But now i want to uninstall PSE 12 but neither the uninstaller nor the Adobe Application Manager is running on Catalina. How can i manually uninstall PSE 12? Please help, thanks

HiI have a MacBook Pro operating on OS version 10.5Recently downloaded the Photoshop Elements 15 App and have been using it to edit photos.  However it is crashing when trying to open and now I cannot get it to open at all.  Have tried reinstalling app a couple of times, restarting computer, nothing seems to workHelp!
