Questions

The layer mask used to be a white square so I could see where I was brushing on the image. One day mine switched to a black box with a white circle and I can't see where I'm brushing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling PSE and it didn't work. I am using PSE15. I attached an image of the thumbnail mask how it is now. 

I have had a Photoshop Elements 7.0 that I used to make a New Years collage every year. There was a template that allowed for the insertion of 15 or 18 images. Windows 10 has made my 7.0 inoperable, so I have opted to try the Photoshop Elements 2018. In this new version, there only seems to be one collage option with a maximum of 8 images? How do I make a collage with more than 8 images with this new software? Also, the new version seems to have white borders on the images, and I prefer my images to be borderless.I am on the 30 day trial of the Elements 2018, so if I have the wrong product, I guess I would have to uninstall this version, and try yet another?Outside of photo touch-ups and collages, I am not a prolific or proficient Photoshop user, so I really do not need something with lots of bells and whistles.Any help would be sincerely appreciated.Thanks, and Happy New Year!-Willy-

I have just installed Photoshop Element 2020 (Version 18) on my MacBook Air.  I have an Intel Iris Plus Graphics Card.  OS Version Catalina 10.15.6.I used the program for about 2 weeks.  Photoshop Elements Organizer will open.  Nothing else like Video Editor or Photo Editor will load.  It just shows: LOADING ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS EDITOR WORKSPACE and then goes back to Organizer. Does anyone know the fix?

Hi,got Elements 2021 as i had an old version i was happy with but thought an update would be good. I have some folders (the with the most photos unfortunately) that seem like to get imported, but then they are not showing up and the path does not show in the organizer.I reinstalled, i deleted the databse, i tried again, i checked for filters.... nada!Any help please?Markus ... read the forum and googled... nothing worked.

Has anyone had difficulties launching the Elements 2020 photo editor from the Organizer?  It works fine for the first 5 pictures or so, but after that, it just stops working.  If I re-launch Organizer, then it will try and launch Elements and fail.  I can't access the Photo Editor from the main Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 main app either.  After that, it won't launch Elements at all.  I can still launch Premiere from Organizer, but I want the Elements photo editor.  Any suggestions?

Hello! I just purchased Adobe Photoshop Elements for my MacBook Pro 2018 and I cannot use the software. I am asked to login when I try to launch the Photo Editor, and after I type in my email and valid password, it redirects me back to the same login screen.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software with the same result. I even tried to install the trial version and I still have the same problem.

I have tried twice to create a backup of my photos catalog.  It goes all the way to the end and then I get this error message: "Error encountered while writing file(s). /Users/myname/Documents/Summer Computer.psd." What is Summer Computer?  When I look at the backup that was created, there is no .tly file.  

Using Photoshop Elements 2019 with all available updates, Windows 10 Pro with all available updates on a built box Core i7-9700 processor with 64 Gigs of RAM. Files I am attempting to process are Sony ARW (RAW) made with A7 III. When I process the images one at a time, manually, I choose Auto and that does well. However, when I attempt to process the same files using PSE's "Process multiple files", PSE puts out an unmodified image.  I always shoot RAW+JPG and the output PSE makes in batch processing is identical to the straight-out-of-camera JPG, not acceptable.

All images have been modified via default settings in ACR preferences. I subsequently also rotated some after opening them in ACR.  Then I clicked Done.XMP files instantly appear along side the raw files just now processed but only for the images I have rotated.Is there a way to force the creation of XMP files for all of them?I have attached a video of the process.The problem is this: The default settings chosen in ACR preferences are not being stored in an XMP file, even though that choice has been selected in ACR preferences.

Hallo, Elements 21 friert kurz nach dem Start ein. Ungefähr eine halbe Minute geht gar nichts. Dann läuft es normal weiter.Hello, Elements 21 freezes shortly after launch. For about half a minute, nothing works. Then it continues as normal.What's this?Thanks 

hello,after a full installation of Windows 10,I installed my Photoshop Elements 2021 and activate it...when I start Photoshop elements editor, it freeze about 30 secondes and run after.If I open a picture file with Photoshop elements, same problem,after 30 seconds all is ok...have you an idea ? 

Hi. I bought Photoshop Elements from the Microsoft Store today. When i launch it, it gets stuck on the launch window 'Setting up environment for first launch', and won't proceed. I have Windows 10 installed.Any help would be appreciated.

I am using Photoshop Elements 14.1 and whatever I made changes in my file and uploaded on my website those changes remain same, there's no changes update in the file. Is it the issue of my website BestReviewStar or error in the Photoshop Elements?

PLEASE HELP! willing to pay for really knowledgable help. Problem- when I edit a NEF file to my sastifiaction in the RAW editor, it comes out looking horrible (too saturated, contrasty and red) in regular editor. I was able to fix this problme somewhat in older version (elements 15) by selection " camera standard" in calibration menu, but 19 is driving me NUTS!examples in screen shots below -PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

 I have Elements 13 installed i=on an iMac and a windows PC. I have all my photos on a network drive and created a catolog in a different folder on the same drive. I have connected my Windows PC to the catalog without problem but on trying to do the same on the iMac, the folder is grayed out and i cannot install the catalog on the iMac. - any ideas? 

I was just using my Editor to edit an old photo. When I closed the Editor an Update notice popped up. This seemed a little odd to get an update for PSE 2020 several months after 2021 was released, but I clicked OK to proceed. The update took about 7 or 8 minutes to finish. Now both my Editor and Organizer are updated to version 20201207.m.154403. I don't remember what the version numbers were prior to this update, but they were different, and my Editor and Organizer had different version numbers. What's been changed or updated? 

I'm running PSE 11 on an old PC which had Vindows 10 pro on it.  The old PC is always giving me problems (mostly made I think by Microsoft). This old program is hardly ever used so my wife wants me to get a laptop instead.  I know that I can get a laptop that is powerfull enough but what about the software?  Can I still use my original software since I have both  the disk,in it's box with its,serial number?  Would I have a problem re registerng it?

When trying to email a photo it says to 'check my password and try again'. I have not changed anything, why am I seeing this/how do I get around it? 

Just installed PSE 2021 on HP laptop, up-to-date WIN 10, 7th Gen prcessor, 550 GB free space,  .  Loading files to catalog from hard drive works for about 1000 files,  then files loaded past that point cannot be viewed as thumbnails in Organizer or as pics themselves in Organizer or Editor.  Only see gray box with line squiggle through it.  Have tried many load methods to work around with no success(delete catalog, start over, load different files, add a few at a time, etc. Have about 6000 total to add to a catalog. Here'a pic of Organizer thumbnails.  Any help greatly appreciated. 

I have been using Premiere Elements 2020 for a while.Now I'd like to add Photoshop 2021. Are there any special installation instructions.It seems that Photoshop 2020 is already installed when I click on the icon, although I didn't purchase it. Thanks,George

I have Photoshop Elements Version 17.  I have installed Camera Raw 13.1.  However, when I check Photoshop Elements Version 17, it states that I only have Camera Raw 11 installed.I cannot open CR2 files taken from my Canon 6D Mk II camera.  As soon as I try to load up image, I receive the following message:I ensured in my camera settings that I selected "RAW" and not the compressed Medium or Small RAW compressed.It is driving me insane that I cannot any RAW image.Please help !!!

Elements 2021 printing problem: When I print with my Epson R 2000 printer I'm only given the choice of 3 types of paper plain, glossy or matte nor are any of the other advanced features available. However, when I print with my XP-4100 Epson printer all the advanced features are available. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the R2000 printer as well as updating all drivers. I don't know if the problem is with my printer or with Elements.

I have "Program Files" but no Adobe Photoshop Element 2019 listed. I am on a Dell that has a solid state drive as well as the normal kind, which has been a disatre.....beware! From what the Dell techs tell me is that the programs are on the solid state drive as it is faster, and the data is on the regular type drive. In any case, my C drive is the solid state drive, the D drive the regular hard drive, so I searched for Program files on C. The programs file is there, just not Adobe. As you can see from the attachment, it goes from AMD to something called Bonjour to Carbonite.

My old version of Photoshop Elements wouldn't work on my new computer, so I currently have the trial for PSE 21 downloaded on my computer, which I will be buying. However, I'm not looking at Premiere Elements with the video editing (something I've never tried). My question is if I download the trial of Premiere Elements 21 will it overwrite the PS Elements 21 I have on my computer? I already spent a ton of time installing fonts, syles, etc and don't want to have to redo everything so I was hoping the video editing program could be downloaded seperately. Thanks!

I'm trying to remove items using Object Removal in the Guided section od PS Elements 2021 but whatever method I try, Brush, Lasso etc, it overlays another area of the picture ionto the area I want to remove. How doi I overcome this?
