How do you set the Video Thumbnail before rendering/saving the Video in Premiere elements? 

Hi there, I have just started to use Premiere elements and I have fallen at the first fence! My very first video I have tried to import (MP4) and I keep getting "The importer reported a generic error" I am using a Mac. Not a good first impression really 🤔 🤔 Any guidance greatly appreciated! Thank you 🙂

How do you apply a stroke to a font from scratch?  When we enter new text in a default text box, we cannot select the STROKE option from the COLOR PROPERTIES dialog for the selected text.  Interestingly, we can choose certain styles from the text menu, that include outlining, and see that the stroke (outline) option is available for those styles from the COLOR PROPERTIES dialog.  Are strokes (outlining) only available for certain fonts or all fonts?  Why can't we apply a stroke to a basic font such as Arial? Thank you for any assistance.

We are working with video titles and text in Premiere Elements.  However, we have a dilemma with applying animated motion effects to text as follows: FIRST, it appears that a text animation, such as Spin Up animation, plays out over the full length of the inserted title video clip.  Therefore, the clip must be short in order to have the motion play out quickly.  At least for now, we see no way to shorten the duration of the text animation effect while extending the display of the non-animated text following the animation.  Are there properties we can adjust to limit the duration of the animation at the beginning of a longer title clip? SECOND, in order to have the word or line remain displayed following the effect, do we have to duplicate the word or line as a separate clip following the animated clip and extend the static clip out to the end of the video so it will remain displayed? THIRD, is there an effect for making a text word or line FLASH

DEAR ADOBE,The Write - On effect does not work for some reason. I know if you can build a Bezier line in photoshop illustrator and all your other software... I'm sure you can get update the software to actually make this feature work. Please do this as there is no one able to use this feature. Please, allow this feature to work. Even Steve Grisetti says it doesnt work. Sad user.

Has anyone successfully used the write-on effect with Premiere Elements 2021?  It seems like I can only position the brush with the coordinates and not by selecting anything graphically.  The onnline help about the feature is useless:https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/effects-reference.html#generate I've also looked at this:http://atr935.blogspot.com/2017/03/pe-write-on-video-effect.html However, there is no circled brush position.  Am I missing something or does this feature just not work?

Première tentative : je veux couper les séqunces inutiles au début et à la fin.J'ai commencé par galérer avant de comprendre que pour faire apparaître les ciseaux qui figurent dans l'aide, il ne faut pas me metre en mode rapide mais en mode expert.Ensuite j'ai réussi à me positioner à 9mn et à 1h59mn et à actionner le ciseaux sur ces deux positions. Mais maintenant je ne sais pas comment extraire le morceau qui est entre ces deux points.En mode expert je en vois rien sauf "Exporter" mais si je clique dessus on me parle d'une video qui dure 2h15 donc rien n'eest coupé. En mode "Guidé" rien ne correspond à mon cas. En mode "Rapide" je vois plusieurs morceaux correspondaant à mes coupes, et parmi eux, un morceau de 1h50 qui correspond tout à fait. Hello all! Looking for some help here as I've tried multiple fixes on my own and suggested fixes I've found online to no avail.  When making text titles my Style tab suddenly went blank on my last project. I was able to copy and paste from previous styles I already had in the project to get by, but now the tab remains blank in all of my new projects. (screenshot attached) I'm trying to figure out how to get the various text styles to show again. Elements and creative cloud have been updated.  Thank you!

I am trying to create a DVD of a slide show created in Adobe Premiere Elements 8, however none of my attempts will play on any DVD player I try, with the exception of a disk drive on a PC.  I’ve tried DVD-R and DVD+R media.   Here are the steps I’ve been taking once I create the slideshow: I select Share -> Disc -> Burn to “Disc” Under Presets select “NTSC_DolbyDVD I uncheck “Fit Contents to available space” (this is a very short slide show.) Move the quality slider all the way to the right for highest quality. Finally click on “Burn”. The resulting DVD contains the expected folder named VIDEO_TS.  This folder contains all the expected files, i.e.:  VIDEO_TS.BUP VIDEO_TS.IFO VTS_01_0.BUP VTS_01_0.BUP VTS_01.VOB No matter which DVD player I try to play this disc I always get a message that says disc cannot be read or disc is unrecognized.  I’ve tried five different players all with the same result.  I’m in the US, so all the players I’ve trie

Hi friends. I am working with Premiere Elements 2020 on a timeline that is currently 2 hours and 15 minutes. About 45 minutes into this pass on the project, I just noticed that the Video 2 track has disappeared entirely! Does anyone have any ideas? I back up every couple of minutes, but I have not tried closing down and reopening yet. I appreciate any help that you can offer.

Hi everyone, my new notebook has the following specifications: Intel Xeon W 10885M, Nvidia Quadro RTX 3000, 4K screen, 32GB Ram, Win10 64 bit 20H2 Built(19042.1052). I would like to install Premiere Elements 13.0 which I was using until a few months ago on a notebook without a video card. The installation ends successfully and without errors. The Organizer feature works correctly while when I run the Premiere Elements Video Editor it doesn't open any new project, or does not open the existing ones to me. I have already carried out the following checks: 1. Updated video card driver (version 466.11 using GEforce Experience tool). 2. My user has the grant full controll on the C: \ User \ xxxx \ Documents \ Adobe folder. 3. I have enabled ransomware protection for controlled folder access of all threads related to premiere elements. 4. I tried to run Premiere elements in WIN 7 compatibility. Hi guys, just downloaded the software Premiere Elements 2021 but it shows all my videos on the playback screen as pink and green -  normal colours on the time line.   See screen shot below.  I have reinstalled the software but it still happens.  Of interest on the last install it said "icucnv58.dll is missing" - not sure if that is related?tried to export an edited pink and green video thinking it would play back okay but all the colour is gone.  I even changed the settings to PAL (as I am in Australia) but didn't make any difference.  Any help appreciated.

Hi: I've used Premiere 2018 to make several videos. And I've made several time lapse videos of clouds from hundreds of still photos using the old Windows Movie Maker. Try as I might, I am unable to get Premiere 2018 to make the still shots progress at several per second for a fluid TL video. I have followed the Premiere manual on page 217 and nothing helps. When I change the duration to between 00;00;00;05 and 00;00;00;06 as noted, nothing happens and each frame still plays back at a few seconds. The older versions had a specific link for time lapse. It seems to be buried in the upper, second left icon, but again nothing helps following the instructions. Thanks for any help you can offer. Clive   

My project is long 45 minutes. When I try to export it the lenght is always more than three hours. How can I fix this problem? I use Premiere Elements 2020 and an iMac. Thank you for the support. Massimo Summa

I am trying to do shake reduction on a clip and it doesn't work. I get a red banner across the preview with some writing on it ...but I can't read the "error message" if that is what it is.Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or at least tell me what the message in the red banner is telling me (This is NOT a user friendly message it is illegible, at least to me!!!!). Thank you in anticipation. Charlie

Hello, I just started using Premiere Elements and I'm trying to do a picture in picture, except the small video which needs to be on top is behind the video I'm using as the background, so I can't see it - all I see is my background video. How do I bring the PiP video to the front? I plan to have two videos overlaid over the background, if that's important. Thanks!

Since a short time, I suddenly have several audio lines in Premiere Elements. I can now no longer fade in or out the audio of a video. Does anyone know how to do this? This was possible six months ago, but probably an update has changed something and now I can't figure it out. I send a screenshot with this message.   [typos edited by mod]

Really frustrated. I shot a series of talking head videos this weekend on a Sony ZV1 for use on my website. Once the lighting was set, I started and stopped the camera with no setting changes.To edit, I moved all the raw clips (MP4's) off the memory card to my Dell. I opened up Premiere Elements 2019 and got to work editing my three videos. Finished first and second and am happy with the results.But this am, I came in to work on the third video. As is typical, I name the project in Premiere Elements, (say Video 3), then grab the raw MP4 clip I want and drop it into the Project Assets bin. But today, when I then move the clip down to the video timeline to begin editing, the tint/saturation has gone crazy and I’m extremely red in the face with a visible haze around me. I can’t fix it. I have made no setting changes to Elements since I successfully edited video 2. The raw MP4 clip displays with perfectly normal color, so something is happening once it gets moved over to Elements. I upgraded from 2018 to 2021 yesterday to allow me to add footage from my newe GoPro Hero 5. I edited a video from the GoPro , everything worked well. However, when I imported footage from my DJI Osmo Action camera, its color shifted, lots of yellow,purple, etc overlayed on the footage in preview. I went back to 2018, and the footage is fine. I tried turning off hardware acceleration after seeing apost about a similiar issue with Sony camera footage, no change.

Hello,I recently had an issue importing a video file, telling me HEVC is missing. When I tried to contact the support, the chatbot tells me, that it couldn't find any supported products in my account. When I check my account through the provided link from the bot, they are actually listed there. When I check here https://helpx.adobe.com/de/contact/what-contact-options.html it says it should be supported. I'm using Premiere Elements 2021 and it's registered. I try to export and the response I get is "Audio incoding failed. If Audio is in 2 pass VBR encoding mode, try either CBR or 1 pass encoding. I have worked on this project for over a year, Does anyone know how to correct this?

hello! I just bought adobe elements 2021 and tried to edit a short video. My laptop specs are alienware 14 running 64 bit windows 10intel core i7-4900Q CPU @ 2.80GHZ16 gig ramnividia geforce gtx 765M I cannot seem to get the clip preview to play smoothly. Even after lowering the quality. I did manage to edit a clip and once rendered and exported the video plays perfectly in its exported format. The unedited video also runs with no issues in multiple media players, (this is actually what I used to review the clips while editing as the preview window was too choppy to tell if the video was smooth or shaky) At no point other than when I am rendering the video does my gpu or cpu ever clock over 50% and always seem to have lots of ram available. I checked to make sure my GPU and CPU drivers were updated. The stuttering playback occurs all the time regardles if I use footage from my go pro, samsung s8 or my dji mavic mini. I ahve also tried the work around I found on here

Hi. I switched from an old version of Elements (10) to the new one. In the old one there was the possibility to define the line space of text in titles.Where is this in PE 21???  Even also the character spacing (kerning for fonts) with an exact number to make it similar to other text fields seems to be gone, too.?????So to have the titles I want I have to create them in PE 10 and import those titles???Hhm!Thanks for helping. 

Hi, I'm planning to purchase Elements but my footage involves a lot of 360 videos taken from 360 cams.I would like to be able to reframe my 360 footages. Not being able to do this is a deal breaker for me.Does Elements support reframing 360 vids?And, to the developers, is Elements going to have this feature at all?
