Questions

So I've successfully done about 3 videos with a green screen. Each time, it's a bit of an experimentation, trying to understand the steps for it work versus what I've set and what I've clicked on... 1. Import green screen video2. Import background pic or video3. Click Chroma key icon, drop onto green screen video. 4. Click eye dropper , click on green area of background.5. Use sliders to adjust. This SEEMS like it should work, but once again, I'm banging my head , trying to understand why I get either nothing but the background pic/track or background video/track to play, or, the foreground green-screen video to play. There is some kind of sequence thing or something which is infuriatingly not mentioned or covered in any tutorials that I'm apparently not doing correctly. Thanks for any help.  

if you know the clip name, or a partial name, how do you find a clip in the timeline? Thank you

i used to use adobe premierre elements 3.0 and there was a scéneline AND a timeline , i used to use the timeline now i have adobe premierre elements 2021 , and i only have a scé,eline and NOT a timeline ! where is the timeline ?? i cant find it !! help me please !

I am using APE 14.  Putting together a field hockey video.  I have a lot of video clips and pictures in the project.  But should the project file be that large?  I have done other projects before and the prel file is usually MUCH smaller.  Some other odd things - when loading it shows it is loading 67,000 files!  Lastly, quite often when I search for a clip in the Project Assets, it shows the correct clip thumbnail, but when I drag it to the timeline, it is the wrong clip.  So thinking my project file is corrupt.   

If you know the filename, or part of it, how to you find it in the time line?   Thank you.  

Ich möchte auf meinem neuen PC Adobe Premiere und Photoshop Elements aktivieren. Scheinbar habe ich die Nummer der zulässigen PCs bereits erreicht und muss mich auf einem der alten Rechner abmelden - nur sind diese kaputt. Daher kann ich das auf dem Rechner selbst nicht bewerkstelligen. Gibt es eine Methode, sich irgendwie online abzumelden? Stellt Adobe das zur Verfügung? Meine Suche lief nun seit Tagen im Kreis, ich komme immer wieder auf die selben Support-Seiten, die keinen Support bieten. Und direkter Kontakt ist auch unmöglich... Danke im Voraus für die Hilfe

I am a bit green when it comes to editing. I have a nextbase camera that records at twice the speed. It is MP4 video. I try and import the videos and I get "importer reports generic error". They are stored on external disk. I have downloaded some but when I edit the video then it asks me where the video is. Very irritating and getting sick of this program as it continually crashes.

Prem Elements 2021 tells me my GPU is unsupported.The following link however contradicts this by listing it as one of the recommended graphics cards.https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/premiere-elements/using/gpu-acceleration.html Can anybody tell me what's going on?

I can't see the Special Edits section under guided edits.  I've installed Premiere Elements 2021 but don't see the Special Edits option when I click on Guided Edits.  Any idea how to fix that?Rick

I'm looking for a feature in PE 2021(on Windows) that I have used many times in PE 14. Referring to Steve's YouTube tutorial "Add a moving line to a map in Premiere Elements"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUPpc7RUAJ8 At 2:06 he states to go to fx Applied Effects and to open up Motion.Where do I find the equivalent in PE 2021 (is there an updated tutorial for this Cool Trick?). 

Hi,  I have been a long time user of photoshop and premiere elements 12.  I recently did a fresh install of windows on my new boot drive and I was able to successfully reinstall photoshop, but premiere has been giving me many problems.  I have reinstalled multiple times, and there has been improvement. It stalls on ImporterQuickTime.prm, but when I deleted this file, it just stalled on other ones.  The application runs and seems to open because a New Video Project is saved to the folder where they would be saved and every time that I try to launch the software I get another new video project. I've already tried deleting my preferences file and that did not help at all. Any assistance in this matter would be extremely helpful. Thanks!  

Have not had this problem with earlier versions, but have not been trying to process 4K video either.  Laptop is Intel I7, 12 GB memory and over 100 GB SSD memory.  Can't move the pointer at times and no response.  Trying to exit, it just sits there until the "report problem to Microsoft" screen appears.  Forcing me to do a manual save anytime I make any change.  Clues from anyone as I really like the features.

After recording the clip to MP4 everything is fine, just when I put it on premiere elements the audio goes out of sync and really annoys me. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know asap.

Hi, just updated Adobe premiere elements and now have a green screen with lines in it for the video editor preview screen? The video drivers are all updated and this makes no difference. The roll back driver button is greyed out so i cant do that either. I just installed the lastest windows update - no difference. Any ideas the software is now unusable

I just purchased Adobe Premiere Elements today.  When I try to import certain MP4s I don't get any audio.  The MP4 from my phone plays audio just fine.  Any ideas?  Secuirty camera footage that won't import audio: Phone video with audio that works:

How do i download special presets from online to adobe premiere elements 2020??

Since I've moved from 2018 Premiere Elements on my Windows laptop to the 2020 version on my Macbook, I've been having issues when adding some GoPro videos to my timeline. I can add several clips with no issues, but many times there will be one that has no sound at all. The only thing that I noticed is that there is no waveform for the clip, but not sure why. 

If I purchase Premiere Elements 2021 and later find that my computer does not handle this version well can I revert to Premiere Elements 2020 using the same lisence key?

I am new to Premiere Elements (2020), just upgraded from just Photoshop elements to be able to edit video. I'm probably missing something but I cant seem to get Video Projects to show in Organiser, the video files themselves show up but not any Projects. Have tried opening directly from organiser (get unsupported file type error for .prel file) and have also tried "Inport in Bulk" option but it just ignores the files. I do have View, Media types, Projects selected. Is this a bug or something I am missing?

As a new user, we are trying to identify which actions in the Adobe Elements Organizer backup can be helpful and which actions might be potentially destructive.  Here are a few questions: It appears the backup is backing up the Adobe Elements Organizer catalogs and the actual original media files from the hard disk into one backup file, is that correct?Is there a way to only backup the Organizer catalogs and not the actual media files?When we restore a backup, we assume it will overwrite existing files in the same destination, so could be potentially destructive?When Organizer recognizes people, is the information appended to the original file on disk or just saved in a catalog?  In other words, does the face recognition information, such as names, attach as metadata and transfer with copies of the actual media files on the hard disk?When reconnecting folders, moved outside of Organizer, can we reconnect to a folder and will Organizer recognize the same underlying hierar

Each time I open Adobe Premier Elements 2021, I get a screen with options to select Organizer, Photo Editor or Video Editor.  Is there a way to bypass this screen and simply open the Video Editor ??

When exporting a video it doesnt generate an mp4 file video file but instead it creates an mp4 file containing only the audio and an m4v file with a weird name that can't be opened. The m4v file also can't be deleted while premiere elements is running, suggesting it still busy with the file. I have reinstalled premiere elements 2020 completely and use windows 10.

I have multiple trims on my timeline from one original file and I'd like to export them as individual files. Is this possible? Haven't found answer in Google or online help.

Bonjour, je perds systématiquement mes projets quand je ne vais pas dessus pendant quelques temps. LE projet existe, mais il ne reconnait plus rien ou me dir qu'il y a des problèmes de compatibilité.Par contre, dans le projet il reconnait bien les temps de chacun des rushs mais il n'affiche aucune image, ni aucun son.En vidéo, j'utilise un drone DJI en 4K et visiblement, Premiere element n'en reconnait pas le format. J'ai téléchargé ce qu'il faut pour que ça fonctionne mais rien n'y fait. Comment puis-je faire pour retrouver mon travail.J'ai payé ce logiciel. Dois-je aller chez un concurent qui fonctionnera mieux ? Merci

I have a slideshow, created in Windows Movie Maker, that I imported into Elements. When viewing the slideshow before import, the zoom and panning is smooth, but after it gets imported into Elements it becomes kinda choppy and not smooth-looking. Why's that, and is there anything I can do about it?
