I updated to Premiere 2020 and it was working fine but suddently it stopped exporting. The export windows opens but it won't start exporting. When I try Encoder, something similar happens. It takes a long time to open it and then it won't start exporting. The project plays fine and I can even render it, but it just doesn't export it. I work as a freelance editor and I need a solution ASAP to deliver this project. Anyone with a similar issue? To start, I am using Premiere Elements 2018 with Windows 10.I am a newbie and just learning how to use this program. Playing around with text boxes in the timeline, I am experiencing an issue with clips rendering as I hit the enter button. Specifically, when I forget to use the "wrap" option on the text (and even sometimes when I could swear that I used the wrap option), hitting enter to wrap text renders the clip before I've finished it. Once a clip is rendered it cannot be edited anymore, correct? It seems in the keyboard customization I have no way of disengaging the enter button so I do not render prematurely. Is throwing out those clips and starting over my ONLY option? Thanks to all who answer!

Premiere Elements 2020 continues to freeze up.  I can even walk away from the computer and return in an hour and it is still frozen.  I have had to reboot my machine three times on this one project in order to unfreeze it and every time I loose what I have done. When it is working it is very very slow to respond most of the time. I have wasted hours today trying to get one simple video done. Help! 

I have almost completed my project and yesterday everything was working fine.  Now when I come to the final editing the Soundtrack and Audio 1 lines are not working.  The imput shows on the lines and the Narrative is working.  What's going on?

HiI currently run iMovie 9 - I have not moved to the new iMovie version and instead want to move to Premier Elements I have over a thousand unedited movie clips that have been imported into iMovie - saved within a file structure under the folder "iMovie Events". These are the raw files that have been imported from my camera to imovie on the Mac. Is there a way to import these unedited "events" / "clips" into Premier Elements so I can build my movies from them in PE? Here is what the event clips look lie within the Finder file structure on the mac within iMovie..  

Hi everyone.  Looking at possibly upgrading my rarely used PE 13 to 2020 and trying to confirm if it supports the H.265 HEVC encoded videos from iOS devices?  Looks like it might require a codec (which may or may not work?) from MS for 99 cents which is fine.  Just don't want to drop the $79 upgrade money if it's going to fail.  I kinda wanted to stick with PE since I sort of knew it........though I haven't really seriously used any video editing since the PE4 days but I do regularly use Lightroom CC so I'm at least familiar with Adobe vs other products.  I had checked out a free version of a big competitor to the full Premiere CC but quickly realized it didn't support H.265 at least unless you pay for the $300 full version and even then it's apparently not great performance due to H.265 being an export format vs. a commonly used source format apparently.  Of course with iOS devices I don't have a choice there.  I can choose H.264 but that limits

Parce que mon internet en region est de 0.8 Mbd/s je me suis procuré "premiere éléments 2020" (car un abonnement en ligne est pathétique pour moi). Une fois installer, je réalise qu'il n'est pas compatible avec "photoshop élément 2019".En Janvier 2020 un technicien d'adobe me contacte et après plusieurs manipulation m'installe  un icone pour acceder a la page de demarrage de premiere éléments 2020 et que je puisse acceder à l'icone éditeur de vidéo afin de démarré le programme et un icone de photoshop éléments 2019 pour que je puisse acceder à l'icone de éditeur de photo et démarré le programme. Bref beaucoup de manipulation pour un résultat quelque peu médiocre.Mais voilà la beauté de tout ce travail, c'est que les deux programmes ne communique pas, je dois sauvegarder puis réouvrir dans l'autre programme. Et pour rajouter à ca, l'un des programme refuse de démarrer de temps à autres.Malgré tout je garde le sourire et regarde les belles images fixe sur ma page de démarrage en esp

Just got 2020 version - I have a bunch of clips that are back-to-back (no transitions inserted). For many of the clips, and I can't tell if there's a pattern, the first 5-10 seconds are messed up. Often, but not all the time, it's part of the last video flashing in quandrants upside down, with the current clip's audio going. Or it's all-black, or random colors. Then, the clip resumes normally. Disappointing. I have 3 DVDs like this now.

Scenes with weak lighting (Christmas Eve) were right by the treatment on the screen. After rendering and export (4k) the scenes were clearly bright. Does Premiere elements make the scenes more bright automatically? All applications stand on manual. Changes in the brightness of weak lightend scenes are visible on the screen. Nevertheless, after exporting the movie is more bright (calibrated eizo monitor and on Samsung TV).

Hi All!! I'm having a frustraing time here.  I have a registered copy of Premiere elements 11, and it has been registered with Adobe' for quite a while.  Now, for some reason, this program has decided that it's a trial version.  This is a 3 PC version and I have it installed on two of my own machines.  The serial number shows up on my account with Adobe'.  Both of my computers are showing that this is a trial version and on the one machine, the trial has run out.  On the other machine it shows 28 days.  When I put the serial number into the box that appears, it tells me that the number is not valid, but it matches my account with Adobe'.  I am running Win 7 on all of my machines.  Does anybody have any idea what is going on??  I sat on hold for 40 minutes earlier today with Adobe' and nobody ever picked up the call.  I could use some ideas. Thanks!!! Kim Herron

Bonjour, Je ne parviens pas à accéder à une clé de déverrouillage pour enregistrer une vidéo à un certain format de fichier sous adobe première element 13.J'essaye d'enregistrer une video sous adobe première 13 mais je n'y parviens pas. Une fenêtre s'est ouverte et me demande de copier un numéro de série et d'aller le copier sur un site. Une fois sur ce site adobe, je ne vois pas où copier ce numéro de série. Ce dernier doit pourtant être copier quelque part afin de pouvoir me délivrer une clé de déverrouillage.Merci pour votre aide. Windows 10 Pro - clean installCurrent systme uses integrated 4700K graphics.I get the "System not configured for HEVC..." error.Will using an Nvidia GT 1030 solve this issue?I have followed the various Adobe help pages including having support connect to my computer. They left leaving me with a broken/not working Windows Store! Hence the clean install.Support connected today and now they say it is an know ongoing issue which will be fixed with their next update.Wondering if the card will solve the problem even after the update. Looking for confirmation that a GT 1030 will help enable Premier Elements 2020 to import video files using the HEVC codec. Converting all my videos with handbreak is not practical. Will the following combination be suitable for working with importing HEVC files? Ryzen 3900XX470 chipset based MotherboaredGT 1030 Card  (Import, no export in HEVC) 

I can not view (play)  video on the timeline. The Add Media box is all that I see Premiere Elements 2019.  The Audio on the timeline can be edited and shared as normal.  I am also running Roxio Creater NXT pro 7 on the computer.  I have uninstalled and re loaded the Premiere Elements 19, but it did not fix the problem

A relative newbie of Adobe Premiere Elements here... I'm really having a tough time using/understanding how to use the Lightning Effect. I have a short clip, I drag the Lightning Effect over the clip and I click the toggle animation to start shaping the Lightning Effect to the size I like it for each frame. I painstakingly go through each frame. But once I'm done, the lightning replays as if I've done no frame editing at all. It's basically all over the place. What am I doing wrong?! Feel so dumb!Thanks!

Hello, my first post here about a question that seems so basic to me but I spent several frustrating hours yesterday trying to accomplish this. I have made several videos in the past using different software on a PC but this is my first video using Elements 2020 on my iMac.  The audio track is basically a song in mp3 format imported to the music track or audio track (I've tried both!) I'm trying to edit still photos and some inserted video into the video 1 track and changes I make there cause the audio track to break apart. Also, if I change the duration in any photo (except the last one) it also creates an unclosable gap in the audio track. I need to be able to work in these tracks independantly to create my slideshow. When I have everything in both tracks selected and right mouse click the option to ungroup audio and video is not active. How can I unlink these two tracks in Expert mode for the entire timeline? Thank you for any advice ...

I have Elements4 and Photoshop elements 6. I'm trying to download onto a new computer.  They both loaded fine but the program is asking me to register again.  But now the serial numbers I have say that they are already registered and will not let me use the program. 

I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 2020 from a few days and noticed che copy command of a transition over other clips does not work. I followed the instructions I found in the official site, but no result occurs. In this way, the solution is to put the transition on every single clip, but is too expensive in time. Anyone has a workaound to adopt? thanks in advance.

Is it possible to import a projet buid with Premiere 11 into premiere 2020 ? Apparently my import got stuck.Thanks in advance.

Dear Adobe Community, I'm having an extremely frustrating experience, and I could really, really use some help. I relentlessly worked on a new project an entire night and Adobe has all the editing functions I required which would have left me extremely happy with the new experience--except one. How in heaven's name do I set a maximum video length on the timeline?!? I figured it would be these two "keystones", which I've also seen in the various tutorial videos, but for some reason Adobe Elements seems damned intent on ignoring them. It keeps wanting to export a 45 minute video for a 90 second clip and there are no clips drifting around on the back-end of the timeline! It's ludicrous. It's incredulous. It makes me want to throw something at a wall, that this issue should be so perplexing to a new user...I'm sure it's something simple but I eagerly await a response. Sincerely, Blitzburns4

I've just installed Premiere Elements 2020, and I can't figure out how to edit the Text Animations Durations (start and stop timing). Initially, I found the motion titles (specifically some Typography slides). For example, one might have 3 textboxes that sweep in one after the other (not all at once), but they sweep in too fast for my needs. I'd like to slow them down or change their timing somehow. I've sliced these animations and moved them to where I need them, and then time-stretched the gaps, but now they animations are choppy (not hight enough frame rate for how much I stretched them). Also, slicing these titles prevents the editing of the text. I've now switched to a normal/basic text box and added an animation to it, but I'm still unable to find how to control the animations timing/durations. I'm not sure if this is just an oversite or a lack of functionally in the elements software.

When importing an AVI video I get both a video and audio track. But when I play it in Elements I get no sound. The audio track also looks strange, just a lot of vertical thin lines. The video plays fine, with audio, in all other programs. I am also very sure that I used the same AVI file in PE 2019 earlier. Here is what the file properties says:

I have Premiere Elements 19 and have tried the published fix where a new layout file is downloaded and replaces the previous layouts.  I followed these instructions accurately, tried it twice, and the controls are still blocked by the bottom menu bar.  I'm on a windows laptop. Can you please help me determine if there is a fix that works?  It is very cumbersome to work on a laptop-sized screen.  It appears, from all the threads I've read, that this problem has been going on for years.  If the Adobe-published fix doesn't work, why can't they provide a true fix.  Seems silly.
