PE 14.1 on a WIN7 PC.Is there a way to restore a video clip on the timeline to its original length?Background: I have created a number of short videos on the subject of flying sailplanes.Such videos on YouTube are generally fairly short to avoid boring viewers.I then create a "Director's Cut" version of same video for club members who are prepared to watch for much longer.This what I need to do is to take a number of clips on the timeline that have been trimmed front & back andrestore to the full length in order to be able to re-trim or possibly show in full.How to?

Tried searching google, but kind of came up empty...What's the difference between an effect and an adjustment?I see that you can do many of the same things either using an effect, or using an adjustment.Which do you use when?Say I have 10 clips on my timeline, and I want to apply the EXACT SAME amount of contrast, color changes, and sharpness to clips # 2, #4, #5, #7 #8, and #10, (but not to clips 1, 3, 6 and 9). Would I use an effect or an adjustment? What would be the best way to do that?Thanks in advance.

Premiere Elements 15: When I choose a still image/photo, and i choose "edit" it opens it in the Windows 10 default image viewer. I want to open it in Photoshop (I'm still using CS6 - it works and it's paid for! ) I haven't been able to find where to set the program that is used when I hit Edit Original when I right click on a still image - help!Thanks

Hello peopleI hope someone can advise me. I am new to video editing and am just about to start putting together a project comprised of photos and video footage and want to know the best format for my video footage to be in prior to taking it into my Premiere Elements 11 system. The project will take many days to finish so I plan to do a lot of saving and do not want the video footage to lose its quality.The video was taken using a Fuji hs20 camera and is 1080p Full HD 30 frames per second using H.264 compression coded (saved directly as MOV files) progresive capture. Sound - WAVE. stereo.I have the Wondershare Ultimate Video converter which has many video formats to choose from including some in HD.I intend to get the project out to Youtube, Vimeo and perhaps make a blu ray disc.ANY, advise would be appreciated as I am new to editing and not technically minded.Sincerely    Alan               &nbsp

Hello all,I have a problem when I burn a dvd with adobe premiere elements 15 (recently owned).I have imported a mpeg video into adobe premiere. The video is fine, everything is ok.Then I create a dvd menu, and add "mark" in the timeline to have direct access to some scenes.FInally I "share" the project on a dvd ( in iso file in fact ).The problem is when I display the dvd, the video is shaking. And not only my video, but also the dvd menu ! It's li,e a parkinson guy handle the camera...As the dvd menu are also impacted, I think it's not part of my original video format, but more a problem on the dvd burn coding .... even if it's on ISO and not directly on a DVD.To confirm that, I tried to directly burn on a dvd, without using ISO. It's the same.Do you already have this type of problem ? How can I solve it ?Thank you for your help !

Should I transcode my Sony XAVC S files (which is a highly compressed codec) into a less-compressed file before importing into premiere elements?I would like to optimize playback and rendering speed. However, if I use the render timeline function, the resulting timeline preview is so bad that I can't tell whether the clips need to be sharpened or need noise reduction or some other effect. The rendered timeline just looks nasty...And are you using a program for transcoding that you can recommend?Thanks in advance.

My only goal with this "project" is to convert a friend's video from mp4 to mpeg, and the only way I can think to do it (for free) is by importing it into premiere and exporting it as an mpeg file. The problem is, when I import the file, it cuts the video from 6 minutes and 18 seconds long to 3 minutes long and 9 seconds long. This only seems to happen with this file, no other video is being cut like this. It's especially peculiar as this exact issue was happening with this same video clip on a different computer. The video is 1.6 Gigabytes large, perhaps the large file size is presenting an issue? I honestly have no idea why else the program refuses to import the file. Any ideas?

I am having a problem with my stills in my project. They pixelate to the point of being blurry. I've tried using the organizer to, and it helped. But then I added several additional photo's and the problem came back. I've tried rendering, no help.Any idea's for a solution? I'm using Premiere Elements 12.Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you give me tips on how to sharpen videos WITHOUT it becoming very noisy and / or jaggy looking? (I am running windows 10 64-bit)For instance: is there a way to mask the sharpening or limit the sharpening so that it only affects higher-contrast areas of a clip? (Similar to the way that lightroom allows you to mask the sarpening)?I am not very satisfied with the built in sharpening. Is ther another FX that needs to be used in conjunction with Sharpening to make it look good? do I have to buy a plugin that costs more than the cost of Premiere elements to make the video look sharp?I normally shoot a flatter profile with sharpening and contrast turned down.

Hi,I'm about to possibly buy Adobe Premiere Elements 15 if it can handle H.265 in a smart way.I've downloaded the test version and just saw H.264 for export? What about H.265?Are there extra plugins available?Thx

On the timeline, whenever I press "PLAY", either by clicking the Play/Pause toggle button, or by hitting the space bar, a pretty big black box pops up over the Render button that says, "Render:  For smooth, high quality playback, render your timeline".  The box will also pop up if I hover the mouse over the Render button.  It will stay up for 3 or 4 seconds, and will not go away by clicking it.It's irritating.  How do I switch it off?  Thanks!

I need to deactivate premier elements 10 from a windows to a mac and the windows version won't let me log in....just spins and says signing in

I don't know the reason yet, but it's really irritating. After every change I have  to save my work and if I want to see the result app crashes. So I have to run it again and then I can see the result. Then the same situation after next change (transition/audio fade/...). I tried restart windows. My system is win 10.Thanks for every help. I can't work this way anymore.

When I opened ​Adobe Premiere Elements 15 today, I got a got a message telling me to update to latest version. I did that right away. After this update Adobe Premiere Elements 15 did not start. Actually it starts, then appears in my dock and then closes at the same time without any hint about what's going on.I did reboot the macbook, that didn't work. Some more info:Macbook Pro Mid 2014, 2,2 GHz Intel Core 17, 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Videokaart Intel Iris Pro 1536 MBOperating system: macOS Sierra 10.12.2Photoshop Elements 15 is working correct also is Elements Organizer.Hope someone can help me. I have been trying over and over again to burn an approximately 50 minute long project to a blu ray disc. Near the end of the encoding process, to create a disc image, an error label appears on the lower left side of the Export & Share window that displays the progress of the encoding. Usually, it reaches 99% finished and then it abruptly stops with an error label. There is no reason given. I have re-started the application several times, but the same issues occurs. I have had this problem before, but after a few tries it finally creates the image, and I can burn to a disc using another software package. There are no special effects in this project. I use Windows 10 Pro. I use Premiere Elements 14. Some help appreciated. This is getting frustrating.

I don't know why the timeline view (I Need to view seconds / minutes etc) in the timeline bar changed to Frame view (maybe by error when typing). How can I Switch back to time view in Adobe Premiere Elements 14?

Since installing PE15 I get the following error each time I open it:I am running Windows 7. I have no A: drive. The Disk Manager reports no A: drive, although the WE does display the non-existent A: drive.

I've been using Adobe Premier Elements and Photoshop 9 for about 4 years.  I received a notification to upgrade to 15 for $99 dollars.  the same amount I paid for both 4 years ago so I did.  I only received Elements and not Photoshop.  it clearly shows both for $99. I spent over an hour with customer service chat because there is no phone number only to get absolutely nowhere.  Only to get that someone will contact me via email in 2 days.@

Hi all - the Premiere Elements 15 system requirements say:Intel Core i7 required for XAVC-SDoes this mean that with the following Core i5 I will just be slow or that it will not process?Intel Core i5-6402P16Gb DDR4 @ 2133MHz250Gb SSDWin10 HomeI don't understand why a lack of hyperthreading would kill this dead rather than just making it run slower... and what does that mean as a requirement anyway? Required to read mp4? Required to output in mp4?I'd appreciate a quick reply as I still have the chance to change the system spec if I act quickly. Thank you so much!-Mike

Recommended settings for Panasonic SDR-40HP camcorder to download video. Have tried two settings with results producing wavy shaking picture.This is my first time of use and would love to have written instructions.  Also how do I delete the these bad videos.

I am trying to burn a DVD video I made on Premier Elements 13. Every time I do so, a message appears, it says that the burn was unsuccessful because there was an interruption and to go to a folder to burn my DVD. I tried that and the quality was so bad I couldn't even make out peoples faces. Is there a solution?

Moving to Premiere Elements 15 from Cyberlink Powerdirector. Bumbling along, but one thing I need to be able to do and can't figure it out:I have a jpg/bmp that I use as a watermark on some videos, but I need to adjust the size, location, and shape of where it overlays on the video depending on the video clip. I can see how to easily move the object, and I can grab a corner or side and resize it, but it will only resize proportionally. I.e. if I just want to make it wider but not taller it won't let me do that.In Powerdirector there was an option when modifying an object like this said "maintain aspect ratio" and I could unclick the box and do what I need to do. This is a bit of a deal killer if I can't do this simply. I assume I just don't know how.Thanks!

I'm trying to get the last version of Photoshop Elements in spanish for Mac.I guess this could be the 13th, which is available for downloading in adobe official web, but I don't know how to buy it.I just could find the last version (15th) to purchase...Please, some help

Just installed Premiere and Photoshop Elements 15. Installation completed successfully, but when I try to open either program a window pops up saying "Premiere Elements 15 has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows is searching for a solution" . Then says "Windows has shut down the program."  My Operating System is Windows 10 Home. I also have Elements 14 installed on this computer and it works fine. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing -  same results

HiI hope two simple questions, to help me getting my Premiere Elements 15 set up well on my Dell i7 computer (running Windows 10 and Premiere Elements 15)1.  DrivesI have a C drive which is an 80% full SSD drive, and a D drive which is a large HDD drive at about 20% full.I also have an external backup drive.Because one of them is an SSD drive, what's the best settings for my folders when I install Premiere Elements?2.  Backing upI have come to the end of my first project which has used up loads of space on the SSD drive. I now want to be able to move the essential files ONTO my external drive, so that years later if needed, I could restore them to a computer and re-open a project complete with files, and do further editing and amendments.In the light of the previous question about drives, what are the essential folders (or files) I need to copy to my backup drive.
