Color Picker selecting slightly wrong shades of color, Premiere Pro 13.1.3

Color picker does not select colours correctly, it instead selects a shade that is similar to that color but not the same. We have tried disabling TrueTone and reinstalling the software, but to no avail, the present workaround is for our users (@Linkedin Learning) to use PhotoShop color picker and then switch back, but this is far from ideal creating a time consuming workflow around this.

Is there anyone out there with this problem? Or a known fix? I've spent time searching the land of Google & not found any working solutions.

Any suggestions or further clarifications welome, we are using MacBooks, so this issue is on MacOS.

As always, more details would be helpful.

Which color picker from what panel are you having trouble with? What's your OS, program version? Is the Program monitor on the main OS UI screen, or a different one?

Hi Michael,

Instead of relying on the Color Picker, you may also choose to fill in the Hexa-decimal code.

Hope this helps.

A few more details would help.

Is this totally within Premiere, or is it between Premeire and viewing the image outside Premiere?

Is this with all color pickers, the ones in the EGP, or Lumetri ... or ... ?

What is the media involved?

What are your color management settings in Premiere ... do you have the Display Color Management option checked?

Hi Neil,

Thanks for your reply! It's all within Premiere, our UltraKey is not effected, nor is the Photoshop one (which is currently used as a workaround).

The media is video content? I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for with this question, file types? It seems to happen regardless of which media is there.

I'm checking in with our user now as to whether that option is checked or not, but it seems the default is for it to be disabled.

Any other pointers or suggestions of things to try?
