I have an unusual problem that I can't figure out. We're putting together a show where we need to edit vertical versions of a 16x9 timeline.   My timeline is 1080x1920 (Vertical video) - we want to have multiple "windows" in the 9x16 version. I've made a track matte with alpha in Photoshop that I'd like to apply to a video layer, so that I can scale up and down the original video to fit the vertical frame (essentially creating a split screen)   However, no matter how many ways I try, the track matte changes shapes and the original video scales in unusual ways.   This works perfectly fine with the same assets in After Effects, but will not work in any version of Premiere with any video.   The reason this appears to happen is because the original video needs to be the same size as the sequence in order for the track matte to work (it works if we nest the sequence, but this defeats the purpose since we're already cropping and downscaling the source video)   Has a

Hello all. Admittedly not that experienced with Premiere. I just learned how to move the anchor point and why... but now I can't get it or the edge handles to show. I've tried selecting the clip (click on clip in timeline) and then double clicking the preview screen. I've tried clicking on Motion on the Effects panel. Nothing. I notice that Motion tab on the Effects panel does not have a square next to it, only an FX. In the tutorials I've seen, this box is shown on their screen. Incredible gratitude in advance... quite a frustrating experience over here.

Hi everyone, I'm working on a timeline in Premiere Pro, and I want to rotoscope a clip. Right-click, Replace with After Effects composition. Once in AE, I've got the section of the clip, but when I double-click to use the roto brush, the AE timeline changes, and instead of the section of the clip from Premiere Pro, I have the whole clip on it. How can I rotoscope just the section of the chosen clip in Premiere Pro? Thanks for your help!

With no video editing experience, I started using Premiere Pro three days ago. I managed to edit the file, but all attempts to export the generated clips failed. In the project settings, I can chose what rendering type I want but for the encoding I can't so I am getting failure during the export because of the GPU acceleration unavailable...I tried with some lighter settings such as VBR 1 or 45Mbp/s but I still get failure... I managed to export the video in 2 parts and then by exporting the 2 parts as one video (because the effects are now part of the footages) but it is a big waste of time.I don't have a Integrated Graphic Processor in my machin. Whenever I try and search something in my imported media box, nothing comes up. Has never happened before so Idk what's causing this/what happened.I've looked through here adn the only "solution", or better said workaround is trying to duplicate my project.Would that literally just be, go to where I have my PRPROJ file saved, copy it and open the copy?? Having to scour through 700 files just to get what you want is not really efficient.

Dropping an .MKV video clip with multitrack audio embedded onto the new item icon creates a sequence that propagates the video track and all of the audio tracks that were recorded. That's great. But the audio sounds like Porky Pig on a bad day. I have searched for a setting that would fix this but have found nothing. When I drop the same clip into Davinci Resolve, it just works. Hello, I am developing a UXP panel for Premiere Pro (v25.0 or later) with manifest v5. I am trying to get the active project object, but I am having great difficulty. The object returned by "new Application()" consistently has a null or undefined ".project" property, even when a project is open. Here is a summary of what I have tried: require('premierepro').app and require('premierepro').project are both undefined. new Application() returns an object, but (new Application()).project is undefined. await new Application() also returns an object, but (await new Application()).project is still undefined. I don't understand the following and would appreciate it if someone could explain it to me.  In screenshot 1 below, the playhead is on a keyframe with position values 1114.7 and 279.2.  I wanted to pan up the image without any horizontal drift and did so by dragging the image and once arriving at the playhead adjusting the horizontal value so that it read 1114.7.  See screenshot 2.  What I don't understand is why between the 2 keyframes the numbers went up from 1114.7 to 1130.5 and then back down again to 1114.7.  See screenshot 3.  If there is no horizontal movement of the image, only vertical, why would these numbers change?  Obviously,. I don't understand what these numbers mean.  If someone could explain, I'd appreciate it.  Thanks.  

Clips in my tl appear as video thumbnail; because I have that option seleted. but when I Lt click the fx icon, in the upper rt,  and change the "rubberband" to time Remaping the co\ipe changed to a solig color, and I haven't changed my settings, "video view" is still checked.

Hi When we use the API call app.openDocument() to open the premiere project, audio waveforms are not showing up in Premiere Pro. Same project when we open from local disc manually, it's showing the waveforms. Could you please suggest, how this can be resolved? 

The playhead is not moving, or if it does move, it is so laggy / stuttering. I did some solutions I found in the Adobe forum and some solutions from other videos/sites, such as clearing media cache, etc. My clips are not heavy; they are just videos from mobile phones. The playhead worked just fine before the update. Why does every update of every Adobe product always have bugs and bigger problems?

Editing in timeline: -When I use the extract key to trim, a gap of a few frames (6) is left behind, so black hole in timeline. This goes for video and audio, but not the same amount of frames. -Holding down arrow keys left and right do not advance the playhead as before. Not by frames but smaller increments, so small one can not see it move, except timecode is moving.

Hi Group, I've just started with Premier pro and i'm gettinng a good grasp on some basic editing i'm now moving on to HSL Secondary so i may be doing something wrong here! but i followed a couple of videos on colour grading and played around with some settings and after multiple attempts i've realised that my HSL Secondary is doing absolutely nothing.... I mean nothing!.. I've tried everything to change even one colour and absolutely nothing is happening... used the eye drop tool, been through every set colour, slid every HSL bar to the extremes, used the correction wheel, absolutely nothing is happening.. Can anyone help? am i doing something completely stupid? am i missing a simple trick? I even updated the whole software so all up to date. Thnaks in advance.

Hello, I've not found the answer elswere ...I'm working in Premiere Pro in HLG workflow, and even when i use Photoshop (or Illustrator) to create graphics in Rec2020 HLG mode, it doesn't suite in Premiere ...My goal :- Film in HLG mode (Rec2100 HLG)- import rushs in HLG mode and edit directly in HLG or use color management for editing properly in Rec709 on non-HDR monitor- insert graphics (logos, motion from AE, etc ...) and mi it with images- export movie in HLG (ProRes or H.265) or use colors management for output it in H.264My problems :- even when i use the eyedropper tool and i want to match the color of the graphic with one color of the image, it doesn't work- when i create grapic in Potoshop (Rec2100 HLG Profile) and import it in Premiere, the color isn't preserved - ... My question :- Do you have the right workflow that works or a guideline / ressource that can help me ?- How works with Photoshop / Illustrator in HLG mode ? i will be very happy for every ans

I am fed up with Adobe "fixing" things that aren't broken, and rarely focusing on things that are broken.   Not only do you now force us to pay a subscription fee which we can't get out of or just purchase the version we like, but we are also forced to keep updating to your stupid overly complicated versions with 95% of features I will never, ever use.   I just want to simply edit. I don't want fancy new stuff, I want a stable version that just does the basics and that's it.   For instance, you went and changed the way transitions work, and they are so frustrating. You can't grab them easily, it adjusts everything else except the bloody transition because unless you are zoomed right in - it isnt very clear when they are or aren't selected anymore.. it has significantly slowed down my workflow, causing added work, frustration and wasted time. Why did you have to go and change it to look like some cheap iMovie program???   Please STOP MESSING around with Premiere! &nb

I am color correcting an 80 minute movie scene-to-scene which was produced from a 4K scan of a 35mm color interpositive. The file format is Quicktime Apple Pro Res HQ. I went through the whole movie start to finish making cuts in just about every scene and made my corrections. When done, I went back to the beginning to check my work again, however it's like Premier didn't save the color corrections i did, and almost every one of them is jacked up and will need to be corrected again. This project has taken many hours to complete and it is very frustrating to have to start all over again! Has anyone had this problem, and more important, can anyone HELP!
