Questions

In the timeline, the left area that displays the audio and video track information (Lock icon, mute, solo etc) takes up a lot of width space with blank spots....1. is there a way to reduce the width of that area.2. Also, I'm aware of the Customize Audio header feature, but I can't figure out how to use it to remove items, only to add items. Like if I want to remove the keyframe buttons from the audio header, how do I do that? Thanks!

Hello there,I am fairly new to Premiere Pro....I have run into an issue that seemed to have just popped up 'overnight'.When I play back video clips with mono audio tracks in the source monitor they only play back on one side...as soon as I move them into the timeline they play back with no issues (center). I have a feeling it's a simple setting somewhere.. maybe mono audio in the source panel has to be assigned to a stereo channel....I tried resetting Premiere to default settings by holding down the option key while launching which didn't solve the issue. I tried to 'modify' a clip by choosing- 'audio channels' and changing 'clip channel format' from mono to stereo and that solved the issue on one clip (it now plays back in the center of the sound picture when I play back in the source panel) and in the 'modify clip' window I now see both a 'left' and a 'right' on Media Source Channel 1 .....but do I really have to do that to every clip? There must be a general setting I'm missing some

Hi guys I need some guidance in my workflow. We need to output a project in this setting. We're shooting with Blackmagic cameras at ProRes 1080p 25 fps, but I can't seem to find a way to export to 1080i/50 or create a timeline in those settings. Screenshots will help a lot. Thanks everyone!Pete

Hi all,I'm mostly self-taught with Premier so might have missed some basic info along the years - apologies if this is a silly question! Here it goes:I shoot my material mostly with Panasonic camcorder so they are .MTS files when captured on Mac. At the mo, I'm working with hundreds of files (an art project combining stuff over 20 years - not easy). Some of the files are also large ie over 20mins long (over 3.55GB and hence broken into two parts). I am about to start a few complicated edits where I'm putting clips together from several years and wonder if I should rename the files or not. I've never done that as I was told, many years ago now, to import the 'private' folder and under no circumstances to fiddle with the file structure inside it.... That was 20 years ago and things have moved on (still loving Premiere as much as then).... Can I, or should I, rename the files before importing them to Premiere? I name my folders, but within them are then several sub-folders. It concerns me

Hey there! Since the latest Adobe update my dynamik linked After Effects comps do not update in Premiere. I have to restart Premiere every time I make a change to any of the linked comps to see the changes in Pr. I checked for any weird characters in the file names, cleared all chaches and prefs. But still not updating. Same issue with old and newly created projects. Any suggestions?   Christian I'm running Premiere 14.2 on a 2017 2,9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 MacBook Pro with Catalina 10.15.5.

Hello,I noticed long time ago a tool that offered informations about unsupported and undocumented commands to use with ExtendScript, here (----- I decided to remove the link to it, to not give it free adversitement, but its essentially an extension that costs 40$ and that is easily found within first results of "qe dom" research on google -----)Screenshot of it on the market (I hide its name):  Except I still can't and DON'T WANT TO PAY for it. Anyone know where I can find the full list of undocumented and unsupported commands that this 40$ extension hides? I tried to find them with certain commands on Visual Code, but I am not even sure how I did it in the past. And it was kind of difficult, not clear.Thanks

Update: This issue is being addressed in our Beta releases and will be available in a future stable release. You may download the Beta build from the Creative Cloud Desktop app. Please refer to this link to know more about Beta apps.   We are investigating an issue with Premiere Pro v14.5 wherein undocking panels or splitting workspace across multiple monitors might cause a few features to not work.These are: Keyboard shortcuts not working. Drag & Drop functionality not working for the clips on the timeline. In a few cases moving media clips to a different track on the timeline causes the media/asset to get duplicated in the project bin. Workaround to fix these issues is to dock the panels or use any of the default Workspaces under the menu Window > Workspaces. If you have modified any of the default workspace, you may reset it under Window > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout.Hope it helps.

Sorry for this being a long message. I have been working on a project for about six weeks and everything had been working fine. The project is about 50 minutes in length and I was using Proxy Files for the video - MOV QuickTime 1920x1080. During the past four days or so; I have experienced nothing but crashes in both Premiere and Media Encoder. My productivity has unfortunately ground to a halt for now. The video files are all from my Sony Camcorder and 3849*2160 XAVC container, BT2020 HLG; audio stream is 48kHz 16 bits, 2 channel PCM The main crashes I have been experiencing have all related to exporting the data to both Media Encoder and from Premiere itself.  During the past month I have not tried to do any exports and the editing very rarely had any issues. The steps I have taken have included:Creating a new project and importing the existing project into it.Creating a new timeline and then cutting and pasting the data from the existing timel

We depend on Creative Cloud libraries to keep our team of 60+ editors working quickly and efficiently. Recently we've noticed many lags between team members when new essential graphics are added to our CC Libraries, sometimes taking days to appear on one machine while it being near immediate on other machines. This is very frustrating and is mucking up our workflows.This week, myself and two other editors have added new Essential Graphics to our libraries. The essential graphics appear in the library when you view it through a web browser, but do not appear on each others computers when looking through the CC app or through Premiere. We used to be able to see these update in almost real time, but now the lag is driving us crazy. How can we make sure that our team stays in sync using your system if the system is unreliable?

I've been tearing my hear out for about a week. I've tried opacity masks, crops, track mattes: nothing is working. I have two 16:9 clips of a podcast host + guest that I want to crop into 4:3, that fall within some framelines i've created. Using track matte it works, but when I try to adjust scale or transform, it adjusts the entire mask. I cannot figure out a way to simply move the footage in the layer below while keeping the mask in the position i need it to be. I've been searching around and even found several solutions, but it seems premiere pro removed this ability with an update, unless I am missing something. I've tried the methods in both videos and in both cases I cannot adjust the scale without adjusting the entire mask, even when using offset (no scale) and additional transform (cant move it above opacity effect). I created a MOGRT file with media placeholders to try and rectify, but since the podcasts are around 1 hour in length, the encoding time balloned to near

I've been following the tutorial found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kd98g6IR2U I'm able to successsfully export the clip properties and my export looks similar to the one in the video. However, I do NOT see the actual text value—I only see "undefined". There is text in the Premere project. I've created several graphics just to make sure it wasn't an issue with over-production or some quirk. Every export says "undefined" for all text. I can edit any of the text properties but not the text itself.  Although it wouldn't fit my needs, I also tried the mogart text replacement. I also couldn't get any replacements to occur which makes me think I'm missing something obvious with the extention.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

I have a multicam sequence that has 5 different cameras.  Two of those cameras are two Canon cameras (one an R5 and the other an R3) that were shot in CLog3.  When I have the multicam sequence in the timeline the colors look correct.  When I have the sequence that has the multicam sequence in it the colors look like uncorrected log footage.  The color settings for both sequences are both set to Rec 709.  Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

How do I get the video image of the clip to show in the timeline?I checked the under the wrence in the tl and most fo the dropdowns

This was a perfect results, except for 17...Is there something in the metadata that causes this file to show up?  

hey there Adobe community. I've imported some ProRes clips from a 2-camera multicamera shoot (Shot on Arri Alexa directly to ProRes). I'm trying to create "Camera Labels" for the clips so that Premiere knows the clips are separate angles when I create a Multi-Camera Source Sequence, but even after I've added those columns in my project and clip Metadata view, I cannot edit those columns as they are "Grayed out." This is a big pain because this means I cannot sync the different cameras into a multicam sequence until I'm able to add this information. Anyone have ideas on why I can't add this info? Thanks!

Hi,    I want to generate transcript from video by manually (go to window tab -> text -> and click on transcribe) then transcript will be created but I want to do the same thing via CEP extension/ extendscript.I found the project object and get the sequences from project vai scripting but not getting any method to extract text same like manual I have done. and also I checked that can I do through the SDK C++ plugin. Can anyone help me out.Thank you

I have a unique and crappy situation. I lost my footage when my SD card spontaneously deleted my files. I had to send the card to a data recovery center to get the footage back. Premiere Pro doesn't recognize the files now that they've been fixed and renamed. Recutting the footage to match my old voiceover has proven to be a complete nightmare. I need to figure out how to get Premiere Pro to recognize the footage even though the names have changed.  Any ideas?

I'm running Premier Pro 2020 on a Windows 10 machine.I placed markers on two clips.  I select all, right click, select Synchronize, but the Clip Marker option is grayed out. I assume I'm missing something simple.  Any suggestions?Thanks!

Bonjour, Je suis novice, j'ai installé Premiere Pro, importé des vidéos afin d'effectuer un montage, mais les vidéos ne se lisent pas, j'ai juste un écran vert... J'ai essayé d'importer les vidéos sur un autre logiciel de montage (Da Vinci Resolve) et elles se lisent très bien.L'extension de mes fichiers est MOV.Codec vidéo : H.264 Baseline L5.0J'ai tenté pendant bien 2h de régler le problème avec l'aide de CHATGPT en modifiant des réglages par exemple: - convertir la vidéo en MP4 - décocher "Codage H264/HEVC avec accélération matérielle mais rien n'y fait les vidéos ne se lisent pas ::( Je vous remercie d'avance, Katia, désespérée ! 

I suddenly can not move any audio or video up or down in PP. For example, when I click and hold to move a video clip up a level, I get the stop or prohibited emoji (the red circle with a slash through it). I get this both with audio and the video. I can't find if there is something I hit causing this issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled PP. That didn't work, so I thought maybe it was a memory issue as well and freed up half my harddrive. I usually work on an external hard drive that still has 3 TB free. Please help! 

Adobe Premiere ProWhy is it so ridiculously difficult to create a 3D rolling text in Premiere Pro? I've had root canals that were more fun. I don't want to download some after market add-on, I just want to find simple way to create a rolling title graphic like the old Star Wars movies. I guess I haven't found any new YouTube videos for the current version of Premiere Pro. I have PP on a Windows computer and on a MAC and nothings seems more drawn out and unsuccessful in creating what I'm trying do.Any help? Suggestions?
