I have a bunch of interviews shot with 3 cameras. I synched them, nested the video, then enabled multicamera. (Which by the way seems a strange and convoluted process) Deep into the editing, I wanted to apply LUTs to the underlying source clips but after doing so, the audio of my multicam clips seemed fine but the video had slipped. Am I doing something deeply stupid? Like what is the actual hierachy of nested clips and can you make any changes once they are nested without risking the integrity of your top level edits? any help appreciated. Alternatively -- is there a simple 'flattening' workflow to commit the edits to their source clips? I kind of want to make sure that I can at least 'lock in' the edits I've done so far, without risking throwing the whole thing into disarray. thanks John
I'm editing a video and am using white caption overlays. They all appear white before I export them in the editing tab and preview. However, when I export it to a mp4 file, the file is "incompatible with QuickTime" and all my text overlay becomes gray like the pictures attached. The color grading of the video is fine, only the text colors are affected. How can I fix this? Thanks!
This red color arrow created from text. I want to make it thick because it is too thin. Is there any effect to do so?
Basically what the title says. When I tried exporting a clip it crashes, every time. I tried uninstalling and installing but nothing worked. I tried different formats. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
I installed third party presets and a new folder with presets appeared. I can't delete or rename it.New presets are created in this folder.Tell me how to fix this? Tell me how to fix this?
Heyy guys today I wanted to try out the Auto Detect LOG feature but the picture doesn't look like it should with this option turned on. Auto tone mapping ist also on of course
I hate it, please make it stop. How can i stop this from popping up all the time?It takes over my workflow. That can not be something ost wanna see when they try to change a text a little.Cheers
Hi there I was given a file to edit by a friend, I do not use Premiere on a regular basis. The file is, I'm assuming, badly organized and this or some other issue makes it slow/buffer often and it's been crashing every 10-15 minutes or so. Occasionally an error comes up 'Error retrieving frame 1973 from time from the file. substituting frame'. and this repeats. I'm assuming these are related to the crashes. Any tips you can give me on how someone who's not familiar with Premiere can do sort of easily to help with this error/these problems would be helpful, thanks.

I use the following functions to convert timestamps in milliseconds precision into "in", "out", "start", "end" and "duration" values.I am using the following functions, calculateFrameCount, calculatePproTicks & calculatePproTicksFromMs: export function calculateFrameCount(durationMs, fps, projectNtsc = "FALSE") { const durationSeconds = durationMs / 1000; // Convert milliseconds to seconds let frames = durationSeconds * fps; // Calculate frames // Drop frame logic for 29.97 fps (NTSC) if (projectNtsc === "TRUE" && fps === 29.97) { const dropFramesPerMinute = 2; // Drop 2 frames const framesPerMinute = fps * 60; const totalMinutes = Math.floor(frames / framesPerMinute); frames -= dropFramesPerMinute * (totalMinutes - Math.floor(totalMinutes / 10)); // Skip frames every minute except every 10th minute } return Math.ceil(frames); // Round to the nearest whole frame } export function calculatePproTic
Premiere Pro 24.6.1 crashes when I try to export the project.never had this issue till last month, but I’ve got some problems recently. 1. When I try to open the project file I worked on last month, it just crashes. I can't even open the project file. 2. It just crashes whenever I tried to export the project file I exported last week. 3. just finished working with new project, and I tried to export, as soon as I click export tab, it just crashes.did not use any of 3rd party plug-in.only did simple cut editing and adding captions. MY PC: - MacBook Pro M1, 2020- RAM 8GB- macOS Sonoma 14.6.1- 26.46GB Available File location: Desktop I even downgraded Premiere to 24.0.0 or 23.6.9but still got same problem. Anyone having same problems like me? or solved this crashing issues?
I have been editing a video for weeks, today my laptop went to sleep whilst i went for lunch. When i came back half of my project timeline was missing and there are no autosaves to roll back to. Is there any way i can get my work back?
I recently had Premiere transcribe all my interview source clips, but now upon opening the project for the first time in a few weeks, all the transcripts have disappeared from both the sequences and the clips. The source clips still show "Completed" in the transcription status metadata column, so I'm confused as to where they went! I'd rather not re-transcribe everything. I'm on macOS Monterey 12.4Premiere 24.5.0 Any advice on how to get them back would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hello everyone, I have a problem with Adobe Premiere Pro, I am editing a video in which I put slow motion with the pen to adjust the speed, but when I want to put an effect or simply that I want to move or enlarge the video with the effect "transformation" I can not put a key frame, if for example I put a video at 100% scale and I put a keyframe at 120% scale there will be no movement just because I put a slow motion, on the other hand when I don't modify the speed of the video, the movement is done. How can I fix this? Please help me, it's important.
Hi all, I would like to add a typewriter effect to a text on multiple lines. I am trying to add a new source text keyframe for each frame to do this. See this video method 1: EASY Typewriter effect WITH BLINKING CURSOR | Premiere Pro 2023 (youtube.com) When I try and do it, I get the following error: Can you help me to fix this? I have already resetted the preferences on premiere pro, but did not help. Thank you!
Hi all, my audio track is not showing but i still can hear it. Do you know what happend to that audio track and how to bring it back?and why the audio says" Audio 2" ? why not "Audio 1"?thank you in advance.
The Apply Audio Crossfade Transition and Apply Default Transitions to Selection commands in Premiere no longer apply crossfades centered on the cut point. This was a default and expedient part of my workflow in Premiere that has changed after the update to Premiere 24. Please see the screenshot below for details. My previous workflow was as follows.1. Target the audio track2. Press X to apply an audio crossfade centered on the cut point3. Repeat for each cut point that needed a crossfade Now, my workflow is1. Target the audio track2. Press X to apply an audio crossfade centered on the cut point3. Click and select the crossfade.4. Navigate to the Effects Control panel.5. Select Alignment > Center at Cut6. Repeat for each cut point that needs a crossfade. This isn't a sustainable workflow and seems to be an update bug. I am currently running macOS Ventura 13.3.1 and Premiere Pro 24.6.1 (Build 2)
I previously had a MacBook M1 with 16gb of RAM that crashed relenetlessly. Last week I dropped enogh money to buy a used Subaru on a new MacBook M3 Max 16 core w/ 128 GB of RAM. I just had a memory leak crash...again.. showing that Premiere was trying to use just north of 200 GB of RAM. I saw another thread mentioning VSTs, which I do have installed on my computer but not running in the project. Has anyone found a real solution to this problem?
Hi Everyone,Im using Premiere Pro 23.6V on windows 10. I had this issue previously on the 22V but it got fixed somehow,I've used this footage previously on the 22v with no blurry or pixelated issue. I tried rendering the footage with media encoder and handbrake but it didn't worked i tried clearing media caches and it didn't worked and just so you know my all footages are having this same thing not just this one, every footage is just like that, my preview qualtiy is full, and i also changed workspaces and idk what to do so please helpp Thankss.
MacBook Pro M1 Max, Ventura 13.2.1Premiere Pro 23.3.0 I'm able to log into my Frame.io account inside Premiere. I see all of my recent notifications from clients under the lighting bolt icon. But my Projects window (icon in upper left) is empty and the main window says "Make your first project".
So I've been using premiere pro for years... just finished a movie in June using it... (yeah that movie). I always loved how fast I could work on my latop late at night or while in reviews. Well, I just opened up Premiere to get started on a new project... and one of my oldest behaviors seemingly changed during an update... unless I'm an idiot and it's on my side. I used to be able to two-finger scroll on the trackpad and scrub through the timeline. Now it freaking zooms in on the monitor panel.... which is just dumb. Why in the world would I want to zoom in on the player? Can anyone confirm this setting changed and it's not just some hidden option I can't find? I find this so destructive to me workflow. If it is indeed a change, please, please, please change it back Adove. K-thnx-bye.
When trying to analyze a clip with warp stabilizer, if the progress bar doesn't move and you try to cancel the action. The app is unable to cancel the action resutling in the entire app being unresponsive. When trying to save during the bug, the app doesn't save and the save pop up is unresponsive and unable to cancel the action.
I've imported a couple of DVD VOB files into Premiere Pro. Copied first from DVD to external drive. The existing DVD is 16x9 PAL. Plays fine (widescreen) in VLC. Once imported, Premiere Pro displays the VOB files cropped to 4x3 - losing the right side of the original 16x9 raster. i.e. about a third of the right side of the image is missing. It's being interpreted correctly as D1/DV PAL Widescreen 16x9 (1.4587) yet only shows a 4x3 portion of the clip both playing in the Source monitor and in a sequence. Tried conforming the file to all the other Pixel Aspect options in 'interpret footage' just in case - no dice. Literally every preset still does not show the right third of the screen regardless of the opotion chosen. Also tried importing the whole 'Video_TS' folder. No change. The original DVDs may have been 'recorded' DVDs rather than authored - as they were probably (I think) real time recorded from DigiBeta. This is in Premiere 15.4.1. Also tried importing into Media Encoder
I'm trying to turn off ligatures in my captions, and the only way I can see of doing this is by going: Edit> Preferences> Graphics and unticking the ligatures box, yet ligatures are still on. I've tried restarting Premiere Pro and I've tried deleting the captions and recreating them, but I'm still getting ligatures. Is there another way of turning off ligatures? Some other forum posts have suggested clicking the wrench icon in the Essential Graphics panel, but this doesn't give me any ligature options.
