I'm trying to turn off ligatures in my captions, and the only way I can see of doing this is by going: Edit> Preferences> Graphics and unticking the ligatures box, yet ligatures are still on. I've tried restarting Premiere Pro and I've tried deleting the captions and recreating them, but I'm still getting ligatures. Is there another way of turning off ligatures? Some other forum posts have suggested clicking the wrench icon in the Essential Graphics panel, but this doesn't give me any ligature options.
I purchase Cinema Grade Plugin for Color Grading back in beginning of February of this year. I was excited because of the improved capabilities it provided me to do color grading on my new film. Well after installing version 158 build I was able to use it. Then a new update came about mid February, and after installing the update, Cinema grade stopped posting my changes back into my Adobe Premier Timeline. I currently have version 23.6.5 build 2. I have been working with the Cinema Grade support since then to figure out why the plugin won't apply my changes back into my timeline. So the installation and plugin extensions are installing correctly and Cinema Grade can import/fetch my timeline into its software with no issues but when I hit apply it won't apply change back to my timeline. I have been given new versions and have tried to uninstall Premiere and reinstall everything and still the same effect. Cinema

I’m using Premiere Pro 2019 (V13.1.2 Build 9)I’ve recently worked on a multi camera edit, and I’m having an issue when I wish to delete a previously chosen camera in the multicam sequence. I can see the cuts on the multicam video track, but if I highlight any one of them (highlight the cut with the trim indicator) and hit the delete key nothing happens. The only way I can change the camera is to move the CTI in front of the cut, start playback, re-select the camera that is currently the chosen view, and then change to a different camera at the edit point.I don’t do that many multicam edits, but if memory serves, I can’t recall this behaviour happening before. Advice would be welcome.Regards,Stephen

Hi there,I'm just wondering how the use of MOGRTs are going for people? The feature promises so much yet it works atrociously. It shouldn't have been rolled out in its current state, it's insanely buggy and the rendering times are in the hours for a few seconds of template. Oddly, the Estimated Time Left also gives wildly inaccurate times, so even Premiere itself has no idea how long it takes to render the MOGRT sequences. This is NOT helpful when needing to report to clients and superiors about how long an edit is taking to render. Overall, Premiere is becoming increasingly difficult to manage and predict time-wise. Is the program becoming too bloated to run properly? Can anyone from Adobe report on whether there are any improvements coming for this feature, and in general Premiere itself?Seems like the program would best be served being stripped down to run quicker rather than packed with features that can barely run.
Something has changed recently in my setup (or perhaps Premiere?): every time I create a new sequence, I have to go disable it in the Seqence menu. I realize this is not a terrible burden in the grand scheme of things, but this just started happening a few days ago, and it's driving me up the wall 🙂 I've tried this with the Lumetri panel open or closed, with no change, and in any case, I've always had the Lumetri panel open. Did I miss a checkbox somewhere?
I created a timeline with photos having their duration different from the others. Photo 1 is 3 secondsPhoto 2 is 4 secondsPhoto 3 is 9 seconds.Photos etc..... I like to have a timeline with 10 photos that I can drop other photos replacing the current ones but keeping their duration. Is there a way to create a preset that I can drop over the timeline that will change 10 photos? Or how could this be done? Thanks
This is really confusing me and I've never had this kind of trouble before. I have source videos that are 720x480, but as soon as I import them into Premiere, they are cropped to 540x480. It's not a problem with sequence settings or anything, because the imported source file is cropped before it's even in a sequence. I tried looking on-line for a solution, but couldn't find any. Does anyone know how this can be fixed...maybe some import settings that I don't know about? Here are some screenshots to visually represent what I was saying:This is properties of the videoThis is what Premiere automatically does right after the video is imported as a sourceThis is a screenshot when played with VLC:This is a screenshot when played from the source in Premiere:Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. This video is due Saturday and all my footage is cropped, please help me. Thank you!
My Premiere pro crashing sometimes when I try to nest clips with MorphCut transition, the clips are .mp4 format, and have 1 video transition applied to them. I've tried without this effect and it seems ok. I have had this problem for a long time. I checked different versions of PP.v. 24.0.0 Is there any way I can resolve this issue?

I have some footage with audio that plays quietly in Premiere (I have to raise my Mac volume at ~90% to hear comfortably), but then when I replace parts of it with AE compositions, the very same clips play very loudly in AE. Due to this, I'm hurting my ears quite a lot because I forget to lower the volume when I switch to AE.I want to point out that there are no effects applied to the audio of the clips, nor to the tracks in the Audio Track Mixer in Premiere. Can someone help me understand what is wrong and how to avoid it?
I’m trying to create a scene where a ghost walks through a room of people. The ghost isn’t a member of the group in the room. I shot a ‘clean plate’ video of the room with people. A 2nd clip was shot with the to-be-ghosted person walking through the empty room. The camera was tripod mounted and not moved between shots. In Premiere, the ‘clean plate’ clip is placed below the ‘ghost’ clip. The opacity of the ‘ghost’ layer is set to 50%. As expected, the ghost-person becomes semi-transparent. But so does everyone on the layer below – even though that layer opacity remains at 100%. I’ve tried reversing the stacking order and have tried all the listed blend modes. Neither resolved the issue. I’m using Premiere Pro v24.6.1 on a Windows 10 pc. The Premiere Pro System Compatibility Report shows no conflicts. Any thoughts on how to prevent opacity settings from bleeding onto lower layers?
I'm not really sure if I'd call this a bug but my essential sound base dialogue preset which was applied on a bunch of clips in an existing project went missing after an upgrade. In fact the custom preset is still there but it has an asterisk next to it: Essential Sound Base Preset* on the applied version - see screenshot. This project was started about 5 months ago and I've update Premiere a number of times over that period so I can't pinpoint exactly when it happened but when I opened the project today I noticed a bunch of dialogue clips were not properly EQ'd. What I don't like about this behaviour is that the actual effects seem to go missing if the preset goes missing. Or at least I think that is what is happening... currently running 24.2.1 (build 2)
I am new to Adobe Premiere Pro. I have edited a video with audio and open captions and I would like to export the outcome to mp4, with all open captions in one .SRT file. But when I go to File > Export > Media, i don't have the option to export the video to mp4; and the 'Captions' tab in the Export Settings dialog box does not offer the option to export to SRT. The output is always .3gp. What's up???Thank you.
Here's to a first post! I've been using Premiere Pro for a long time and as of a few years ago hopped onto Creative Cloud, which I generally keep fully updated. However about a month ago I noticed one of my regular video projects in Premiere Pro was taking an immense amount of time to export. I'm well aware exporting isn't instantaneous, but I also know it isn't normal for a video of mine to have an ETA of 2 days! I tried different creating new projects, removing different audio tracks, nothing helped. I also noticed when all of this was going on, my CPU usage was close to 0 when exporting. Something wasn't right...However today after poking around a bit more and running into the same issue I've discovered this has to do with the Dynamic Link I'm using to bring in After Effects compositions to Premiere. My videos for the most part are quite basic, I've tried different render settings, and the only time I use Dynamic Link in a project is to finish off my video with a 20 second After Eff
Hi all!Long time lurker, first time poster!I've got a long timeline setup with audio and video all synced together nicely, and I've got gaps in the timeline with no video (audio correctly continues). I want to fill those gaps with b roll that I've shot but every time I add the clips on top, if they're longer than the gap it overwrites the next clip. Is there a way to simply drag a video on any length into the gap and it just fills with however long the gap is. E.g. if I have a 2 second gap and drag a 10 second clip in, it automatically crops the video to 2 seconds and fills that gap?All my Google searches and forum searches tell me how to delete the gap, this is not what I want. Ive recently moved from LumaFusion where this is a real time saver!
I want to use the EDL files and import them into Adobe Premiere Pro. But I want the files to be located in the same directory as the project itself. Here is the EDL file below, but when I import them in the newly created project, Premiere Pro cannot locate them, is there any chance to use only the filename and no path associated with it ?TITLE: AISummary-(95secs)-ZSurvivorFCM: NON-DROP FRAME001 AX V C 00:00:00:02 00:00:28:14 00:00:00:00 00:00:28:12* FROM CLIP NAME: ZSurvivor.mp4002 AA A C 00:00:00:02 00:00:28:14 00:00:00:00 00:00:28:12* FROM CLIP NAME: ZSurvivor.mp4003 AX V C 00:00:57:06 00:01:23:12 00:01:08:18 00:01:35:00* FROM CLIP NAME: ZSurvivor.mp4004 AA A C 00:00:57:06 00:01:23:12 00:01:08:18 00:01:35:00* FROM CLIP NAME: ZSurvivor.mp4005 AX V C 00:00:28:20 00:00:51:09 00:00:28:12 00:00:51:00* FROM CLIP NAME: ZSurvivor.mp4006 AA A C 00:00:28:20 00:00:51:09 00:00:28:12 00:00:51:00* FROM CLIP NAME: ZSurvivor.mp4007 AX V C 00:01:23:13 00:01:41:07 00:00:51:00 00:01:08:18* FROM CLIP NAM
Hi everybody, is anybody familiar with writing Arabic text in Premiere? I want to centre the text in the video but there is loads of space at the end of the lines, to the left, so if you centre the text box, the actual text is nowhere near in the middle! I could do it by eye but that would be annoying. Especially as I have 8 text boxes/captions to centre! Can you centre the text in the box or get rid of the space at the end? Thanks for any help.
As seen in the picture, there is an error in my video. How can I fix this?
does anyone know of a vox plugin for the voiceovers similar to this app so when you stop speaking, it stops recording. this seems like such a simple thing to integrate into a app of this level and this tool has proven useful on long voiceovers as all you do is just literlaly stop speaking, take a moment...and come back and its one audio track. just seems odd that nobody has covered such a basic concept. the part of mo3mymp3 that i use for this often is called "silence detection" .
Hi there. I'm re-editing a video project in Adobe Premiere Pro that I haven't touched since 2018. Premiere has undergone some updates since then. All my files are exactly where and how I left them, on this project has its own secure external drive. However, two of my video files will not load correctly. When I open the project, it says for each of these two video files, "The selected file cannot be linked because it has 1 audio channel(s) and the clip was created with 2 audio channel(s) with a different channel type." Please help me. I have no idea why it's doing this or how to fix it. Every file is the same as it was before.
