just discovered a handy thing and figured someone out there might find this useful.. Working on a multi-layer title card that I created in photoshop and edited into a sequence. Selected the clip in the timeline, and control clicked and chose "edit original" which opened it in photoshop, and then added a new layer of text, and tweaked pre-existing layers. Did a save in photoshop, went back to premiere and the card had updated for pre-existing layers but did not include the new layer of text. I could have re-imported the card and replaced it, but I figured there was probably an easier way of doing this. and there is. control click on the clip in the timeline and choose, reveal in project, control click on the clip in the project and choose "source settings." and you can activate/change layer display... Always pays to explore the interface when something seems clunky...
After recording audio from two different sources on separate channels in my camera, Premiere Pro only gives me an option to select from one audio channel. Is Premiere Pro mixing them? How can I get the option to select one or the other channel? Is there something in the Settings or Preferences that needs to be changed?
Hi community, My premiere pro is lagging really bad, and I know it's the problem of the graphics of the monitor because it would start lagging when it's overheating/when I watch shows for too long...please see below the setting of the laptopI think the setting for the laptop is pretty solid as it was one on the higher ends when I got it in 2019, so I want to ask, can the situation be elevated if I buy an external monitor? Any pointers are really appreciated! Thank you!
I have a ~1 minute sequence with a few captions, sound clips, music and a single adjustment layer with some very light Lumetri effects. When I try to export it, I get an "Error Compiling Movie" error, and the details say "No Duration to Export". WHen I look at my timeline, there truly is no duration showing, although the last thing I did before trying to export it was trimming some of the clips to get the project time down under 1 minute for IG. All the assets for the project are in the project file I created on my network drive, as is the project itself. I tried changing the location of the project, but I get the same error. I pre- rendered the entire project before trying to export. I also tried exporting as Prores 422, and also changed the renderer to "software only", which usually does the trick of I have any export errors, but not this time. I'm doing this on a Dell XPS 15 laptop, accessing a hard drive on my network. I've done lots of vids this way, so I can
when i export the videos in premiere pro the Error 403 occurs. can anyone help me to get out from this error.
I am editing ProRes RAW, S-Gamut.cine/SLog3 material and it is killing me to have to do the following for each and every clip in a sequence: select an individual clip in the Timelinenavigate to "Source" tab in Effects panel (not selected by default)Color Space > select S-Gamut.cine/SLog3 in drop downAnd then the usual Lumetri corrections, clip by clip.I will be editing a lot of this material, and it is always defaulting to BT.709. Perhaps there is a faster way already that I cannot find? If not, the ability to a) set a default color space for imported clips, b) apply the correct color space setting to the source upon import, c) apply the color space to selected clips in the Project panel or d) in the timeline (ideally all of these options) would be a very useful future feature. It is so hard to edit without doing at least an initial, (ideally batch) grading on all of the material. I have stringouts with hundreds of clips in them, and am spendi
Hiya, I've been having issues with the playback and export of my video glitching out (the video I'm editing is not even a minute long). On my old Macbook the solution was always to just switch the Video rendering and playback render option from Mercury Playback Engine CPU to another one. But I can't even change the render option because it's greyed out, and stuck on the Mercury Playback Engine CPU Acceleration (Metal) one. I've done my best to dig around to find what else I can do, I've reinstalled Premiere Pro, and I've found that I have a newer graphics chip - the M1 Chip which you guys have been working on to make Adobe apps compatible with n everything? Is this something that isn't quite working yet? Or am I missing something else that I'm meant to do to fix this. Pls help.Screen shots attached below 🙂
Honestly not sure what more I can do with these PCs other than nuking them and starting again. The 32 PCs in question are: Lenovo TS P340 TFF i7-10700K|32GB|512GB|Quadro RTX4000 8GBI have a room full of Small FF Lenovos which are unaffected, and the rest of my fleet of Dell PCs (of various ages) are unaffected also. The issue is as follows: Premiere Pro (V 24.1) will hang on the splash page, it will not state what it is doing and will have black corners. This issue also appears for Audition (sometimes) but not with Photoshop or Lightroom Classic. I have tried:When Launching Prem Pro-Reset app preferences-Clearing media cache-Reset plugin loading cache-Disable 3rd Party plugins-Doing all 3 The troubleshooting I've tried outside of running the program:Tried with different domain profileTried with new profile (my staff account) and running it.Tried updating GPU drivers to latestTried rolling back version to 24.3.5Tried removing preferences with reinstallThe issue does not occur wh
What are these? (see attached) I should have ONE file for "A Spindle For A Rose II", ONE file for "The Time Traveler II" and ONE file for "Witch Film". Also, when I open "Witch Film", nearly all of my video footage is missing, even though the original footage files are in the same place on my laptop as they were when I made the sequences in Premiere Pro. Nothing has been renamed or moved, and yet the footage still needs to be relocated. What is happening?
Im not sure where to start.I had little to no issues on previous update and im struggling with this one. My audio cuts out if its rendered, my playback frame rate is abut 1-5 per minute or crashes and comes back for one moment. I cant even preview clips before I add them to the sequence. Additionally i tried rolling back to previous version and it had the same issues. My current specs for the desktop is:Intel i5-126000k 12th genMSI RTX 306064 GB G skill DDR5 6400B760 motherboardM.2 MSI 1TB SSDWhere my confusion now lands is when i switch to my macbook pro which has the update, the issue isnt there.
Lately, I have been experiencing playback and rendering issues with Premiere. When I start rendering, it processes a few frames with the GPU and then stops. By monitoring through the Windows Task Manager, we can see that exactly during the moments it is rendering, there are spikes in GPU usage.I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. I have already updated the graphics card drivers, changed the settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel, and even installed the CUDA toolkit. I have tried all possible solutions, but none seem to work.
Once again, the auto-update gremlin has attacked. I woke up with all my keyboard shortcuts and workspaces GONE.I cannot find them anywhere. Please help.
So, recently I updated new monitor with 4K resolution, and now work in Premiere Pro become slow and laggy.I've already worked with set of two monitros (32" 4K and 27" Full HD), and then I worked on 4K, but Premiere Pro didn't open in 4K, rather in 4K but with low textures, blurry, like Full HD, but everything worked perfectly. As After Effects as well, it doesn't use a lot of CPU, and hit CPU to 50C.But work in Premiere Pro changed, it always hit CPU to 70C, it works very slow and always lagging, and this is strange. Is there any way to optimize it?My PC:OS: Win 11CPU: Ryzen 9 7900x 12 CoreGPU: Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti 8GBRAM: 64GBAnd work with SSD and external SSD
Hello, I've been having a re-occuring problem where music that I've lengthened with the 'remix tool' will suddenly seem to no longer play on the timeline. After a few days or more of editing, I suddenly see the file on the timeline now with zebra stripes and there's no sound to it. I've attached a screen grab to show what I mean. I'm not sure if there's something I can do to prevent this from happening? Or maybe reconnect the audio to the file somehow? Not sure why it just suddenly decides to stop playing the 'remix tool' affected files on the timeline. Premiere Pro 24.4.1 - Mac M2 Ultra Studio - 192 gigs ramThanks for any insight!
Issue:Certain values under Vector Motion Scale can cause the Align tool to not work properly. Adobe Premiere Pro Version Number:Premiere Pro 2024 [24.4.1] Operating System:Windows 11 and Mac OS Sonoma 14.4 have been tested. System Info:Windows:intel i7 12th gen processorGPU: nVidia 3060RAM: 16GBHard Drive: NVME 1TB (M.2) Mac OS:M2 ProMemory: 16GBHard Drive: Local storage 1TB Video Format:N/A. Applies to new projects with any video format. Tested on 1920x1080 timeline. Workflow Details:Can reproduce on a new empty project/timeline with a single text layer graphic. Steps to reproduce:If you change the Vector Motion Scale to above 200%, the align tool doesn't work properly at all and gets less aligned with each click. If you have the Vector Motion Scale set to 101%-199% it works but not on the first click. It requires several clicks to align depending on how far misaligned it was. I should note that you can change the scale above 2
When monitoring the vector scopes for color saturation levels it gives two different readings. The true level (I assume) when video is playing but an inflated illegal level when the playhead is static.Quality for pause and play is set to "Full". However when you set the Programme Monitor to "High Quality Playback" (via wrench) you only get the inflated illegal level playing or static. That is problematic as I have it set to HQ playback when picture grading so that blurs and other small fx come through on the scopes. Currently the problem presents itself with a .png on the timeline but the same goes for various video files. Why can't the vectorscope just give us the one true reading instead of either or, and it would seem the level is locked in the wrong reading in HQ playback? I am using Premiere Pro 2024 on Macbook M1 with Monterey. Last week I was able to import the CONTENTS folder from the HVX200 into Premiere and the shots would be kept in tack (that is with audio and video linked). For some reason now the CONTENTS folder from my HVX200 does not reveal the videos shot in tack. I am give many segments of video in the MXF format rather than the 2 longer shots which I filmed.I am able to open previous CONTENTS folders from the camera without issue. I hope something has not gone awry with my camera. I am using the Media Browser as suggested in previous forums.

In Windows version 24.6.1, edits made to the transcript are not saved. Restarting the application or rebooting the computer has no effect. This used to work perfectly. I tried exporting the transcript as a text file, making the corrections, and then reimporting, but then the import corrected transcript menu option was disabled. Premiere is getting to be very frustrating to work in.
For as many years as i remember, i've been frustated with the colors i get out of Premiere - to the point where I kind of gave up. I started working now in DaVinci that easily renders out files that looks like expected on webdevices - which is, let's be honest, what most content are going to these days.In DaVinci i can set the color space to sRGB and change gamma to DCI-P for instance. This makes it look great on iPad, iPhone, Laptops etc. However, my struggle is endless. Working on a color accurate project in Premiere now, that can't be conformed and go to DaVinci, but the colors looks absolutely off when rendered out.Are there really no way of choosing what color space etc. you are rendering out in? I understand that Premiere is made with broadcast in mind, but this is an unfathomable outdated mindset for how media is used these days. I hope i overlook some simple settings.cheers!
so that if I stretch a clip shorter, the next clip moves left to close the gap.or when I strettch a clip to the right, all clips forward moves to the right.
I have just received a project from my assistant and he has merged everything. I changed the folder structure a bit and now I have to relink all the audio manually. Premiere won't help me there by auto-locating as it usually does. I suspect it's because of the merged clips. How do I unmerge so that I can work with the original footage? I'd rather not pay for a 3rd party plugin.
Hello. I have Adobe Premier Pro 2021 version and i am facing some problems in importing vidoes on the timeline. When i import multiple video files and i drag them on the timeline, the first file get implanted on the timeline but from second file onwards only the audio comes and the video does not come.
Im marking in points for multiple audio track where i need the clips to start at the same point in time, when copying the playhead position from clip A to clip B the position reads correct but is actually a frame behind. it only fixes itself by me manually moving the play head back and forth.EX. if i copied and pasted 15;41;02;25. the playhead position will read 15;41;02;25. but when marking an in point, it will put it at 15;41;02;24 which is really annoying.is this a feature or a bug?
In my After Effects style plugin for Premiere I have a custom UI parameter. I handle it's draw, click, keydown and adjustCursor. Today I found out that Premiere makes a mess out of the u.adjust_cursor.screen_point member when sending the PF_Event_ADJUST_CURSOR events on Windows when the monitor has a non-100% DPI setting. Issue one: for each mouse move 2 PF_Event_ADJUST_CURSOR events are fired in succession; one with the coordinates as-is (in the same units as when drawing the param), one with those coordinates DPI adjusted (so when DPI is set to 250%, they're all 2.5 times as big). For most of the param's surface the DPI adjusted version is sent first, but it seems there are stable areas where the order is reversed. Issue two: when the cursor nears the left edge of the param (at around x ~= 75), there are areas where Premiere stops sending the as-is version of the events, only sending the DPI adjusted version. Observation: PF_Event_DO_CLICK puts only regular, non-D
