Mac OS: SRT file not exporting - Premiere Pro Version 24.0.0 Build 58

OS: Mac OS Sonoma 14.1 with Intel Xeon Mac

 

The latest version of Premiere Pro still has not resolved the issue of being able to export a sidecar SRT file. Only solution is to manually do an Export -> Captions, but it would be nice if Adobe can now fix the ability to produce a file at the same time the video is exporting and then placing the file beside it.

I updated to the latest Sonoma 14.1.1, and after a restart, the Sidecar is working again under the Intel OS. Not sure if the computer just needed a restart after the Premiere Pro update (probably always a good idea) or if the OS update with a restart helped put functionality in order.

Either way, I guess a restart is all that was needed. Cheers.

Hi @Stan Jones I tested it with my M1 MacBook Pro under Sonoma 14.0 this morning and the Sidecar exporting works. It's only with the Intel version that I'm experiencing.

PR direct export, AME, or both?

 

Does burn-in work?

 

What happens? It takes the sidecar setting, but just does not produce the srt file?

Clarifying that this is in Mac OS Sonoma 14.1 under Intel processor, as M processor apps work.

I just did a quick test, and I get the srt if exporting directly from PR or via AME.
