Hi.

I have a MacBook Pro (mid 2014) with nVidia GeForce GT750M GPU with 2GB of memory, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB, Mojave 10.14.5. I am looking for compatible nVidia driver and nVidia CUDA driver for the MacBook Pro to be able to run graphic acceleration with Adobe Premier Pro CC version 13.1.2 (Build 9). On the nVidia website, it supports up to High Sierra 10.13.6 released in July 2018. Currently the drivers for Mojave is not supported.  When I open the Adobe Premier Pro CC, it runs a system compatibility check and informs me that nVidia CUDA is not currently supported in macOS 10.14 or later. Contacted nVidia customer support and they do not know when they will create the new drivers for Mojave. Is there a workaround for rendering and exporting videos using graphic acceleration on the MacBook Pro?

Thank you.

Try using "Metal" instead of CUDA for GPU acceleration, or do as Ann says.

    Thanks,

Tried Metal but find it out very slow and painful when rendering and exporting videos. Is downgrading to High Sierra the only way?

    Hi Catharina,

Tried Metal but find it out very slow and painful when rendering and exporting videos. Is downgrading to High Sierra the only way?

Feel how painful that might be, but yes. I am running High Sierra on my legacy 2013 MacBook Pro (1 GB VRAM) for just this reason. TBH, Premiere Pro is very stable in its current configuration using High Sierra.

All said and done, I am readying a new system quite soon. This computer is not powerful enough for current versions of Premiere Pro and the clips I work with (highly compressed 4K). I fear your machine is not far behind mine.

Whether or not I choose a Mac is up in the air. Hard for me as I've been on Mac for decades.

    Regards,
    Kevin

Workaround is downgrade to High Sierra.
