Premiere freezes while trying to export media. ImporterAIEPS(Importer:5) event shows up.

I am using Premiere Pro CC 2018. I am on a Windows 7 machine. It freezes / crashes when I try to export a sequence to mp4.

I got the following message today

"A low level exception occured in:ImporterAIEPS (Importer:5)".

I also received many of the following message all week

"A low-level exception occured in: ImporterMPEG (Importer:39)".

I didn't put it  in the title, but it also crashes frequently  during use (playback, editing, etc.).

I've cleaned out my media cache, dumped the trash bin, restarted my computer, changed the name of my folder so that it doesn't have any "-" or other non accepted characters.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Queuing it to the Media Encoder is what ultimately worked for me.

Here's a step by step.

1. File> Export> Media

2. Create name for your file (no special characters, no spaces)

3. Hit Save, then hit Queue

Media Encoder opens up. Wait for the file name to appear in the queue.

4. Hit the green play button on the top right.

Wait about 30 minutes for a 10 minute video.
