Why is it so fiddly to ask a question? I’m sure it never used to be this fiddly.

That aside.

I have a sequence after importing some 1920 x 1080 video files, I want to import some jpg images as stills for several seconds, they are 6720 x 4480, how can I import and keep the same dimensions as the originally imported videos?

Resizing in Photoshop is unnecessary. This is simple to do directly in Premiere Pro.

To resize the photos to match your sequence frame size:

    1. Select the images in the Timeline.

    2. Open Window > Properties.

    3. In the Properties panel, choose one of the following buttons:

      • Fill: Scales the photo to fill the frame. The top and bottom will be cropped.

      • Fit: Scales the photo to fit within the frame. This may leave empty space on the sides, also known as pillarboxing.

Another option is to apply the Auto Reframe effect:

    1. Open the Effects panel.

    2. Search for Auto Reframe.

    3. Drag it onto the photo in the Timeline.

This effect scales the image to fill the frame and analyzes the content to keep visually important areas, such as faces, inside the frame instead of simply cropping evenly.

Open the pictures in Photoshop or your picture editing program of choice and resize… you might want to save as a different name to keep the original pictures at their original size

Is there not any method in Prem Pro to say import these as the same size? I thought that when you (at least with different clips) imported the system says, do you want to keeep the same size etc?

Define “same size” ... pixel by pixel, so you’re using a small section of the image on a 1920x1080 sequence? Or the whole image ‘shrunk’ to fit the 1920x1080 framesize?

If the latter, ‘fit to framesize’ should do the trick.

    Everyone's mileage always varies ...
