Is there a 64-bit version of RoboHelp 2017?  If not, will RoboHelp 2017 32-bit run effectively on a 64-bit OS? 

I created a paragraph style that indents text 18pt from the Left.This allows the text to line up with the text from a Bullet List or Number List (that I also created). (Red line added for effect only)However, after generating WebHelp output, that indentation doesn't stay. The text justifies to the full left. (Red line added for effect only)How do I get the WebHelp output to match to the Design in RoboHelp?

I'm using the Indigo HTML 5 layout in RH2017. The index in my help project contains keywords and subkeywords. However, the subkeywords are listed at the same level as the keyword. This causes the index to look like it's in non-alphabetical order, because it's not clear to the user which are keywords or subkeywords.Here is a screenshot with the Indigo layout:And here is the same index in a CHM output. The subkeywords are at a different level.Is there a way to reproduce the CHM-style nesting of the index with the Indigo layout?

For background, my company has been using RoboHelp 2010 for Word for a long time now. Now that I'm taking over our help file, I am using RoboHelp 2017. I imported the old project into the new system and everything seems to work except for the context-sensitive search, which is extremely important. The previous owner showed me the project in the old system, and he was using K-keywords to link his files. He generated the output directly as a .chm previously. I am using the WebHelp to CHM output option. My question is: Is there a way to convert this k-keyword system into something usable in RoboHelp 2017? I can get it to work as an index within the help file, but our software will open the help file to the home topic from everywhere in the system now, instead of the relevant topic.I think the old method of K-keywords relied on a Microsoft Word document as a map file. Do I need a .h type map file now? Is there any easy way to "switch over" so that I can use the word document as the map fil

Hello to you oh-so-helpful forum folks!I have inherited several RH projects, one of which uses WebHelp for output--and that is the project I'm having trouble with. I am using RH 11.0.4.291 and have all updates installed. I am not overly familiar with WebHelp.The compiled help was last checked into source control on 12/14/2015, but it looks like quite a few files were later updated and checked in on 7/13/2016. I have updated only one file, and checked it in on 9/1/2017. In the existing compiled help, the TOC and index are visible and the product variable is where it's supposed to be. All of my examples are for using IE 11, but the same is true of Chrome and Edge.When I compile the file now, however, it opens with a statement that the product variable is not defined and the TOC and index do not appear. In the project itself, the product variable is defined and displays properly. In the Project Manager, two files are defined in the TOC and Index folders: PL_Help (Default) and PLHelp. When

This issue just started today. Each time I try to insert an image in an existing RoboHelp project, I get the following error:Then, of course, the project completely crashes. To give some more information, this is an RH project that was recovered from one that became lost due to a previous laptop crashing. The project has been working fine along with publishing and inserting images until today. I use SnagIt to capture images and save them right within the RoboHelp project's folder and I set the DPI on images to 300 so they scale appropriately within the project. The RoboHelp project is saved on a folder on my company's network. The recovered project contained several images from the old project which I had to change out and I kept the same naming convention on some. The error is not consistent but happens the majority of the time. It appears that I can check the file location where my RoboHelp projects are saved from within RoboHelp by going to File --> Recent Projects, but how can I create a backup copy? I've been told that network policies/traffic may otherwise end up corrupting files. So I'd like to save every project to my local drive and then back it up on our network.

Using RoboHelp 2017, when you click on the left-hand "Search" icon in the Responsive HTML 5 output, you do not automatically get focus in the search box, so you have to click in it to get focus. Is there anything I can do to get round this problem as it is quite irritating for users? Thanks very much for any advice.Cheers,Mark

I'm trying to change the color of the beige container that displays the topic name and breadcrumbs. On some monitors, the beige is just too pale and becomes white. I have ransacked the CSS, and I can't find the CSS that controls this. Any suggestions?  (If you can't see that it's a beige rounded rectangle, you're seeing exactly what I'm trying to resolve).

Using RH 2017 we have successfully migrated our projects and are using the latest Responsive HTML5 capabilities to create webhelp versions (that process went very smoothly) and can still generate the legacy HTML Help outputs as well. So far, so good.In our application, we access help content at both the topic (associated with a particular dialog or form in the application) and keyword level (for instance, taking a selected word in a document and doing an index-find in the .chm file). Being very new to web help, what I'm looking for is some API that will allow me to launch the web help and do an index find on the supplied keyword (this would replace the equivalent calls into the HH API). QUESTION: Is there a way for RoboHelp 11 to combine (Not Merge) multiple CHM files into a Single CHM file; if so, how?ISSUE: When users are using our 1099 Utility (Standalone version) help file (a.chm) and select’s (hit F1) a certain screen, the help topic, such as, the Transaction Review screen in the a.chm file, hence, the system can't locate it because it does not exist in the a.chm file. However, after I copied the b.chm (our AP application help) file in the bin directory where the 1099 Utility deploy's to, then the correct topic is found.Note: This works properly on a mainline build because that build includes both a.chm and b.chm files. However, it does not work in the 1099 builds because it has only a.chm and this file does not contain a topic for this screen. The a.chm file has this topic. The problem is that the mapping between the Transaction Review screen that is open from 1099 Utility does not request the topic with this topic's ID that is specific for the a.chm.Attempts ma

I have looked around and can't find anything definitive as to the files I need to upload.We have SVN and Tortoise. Hi,I'm very new to RoboHelp 2017 and am currently working on my first project. I want to optimize the help search to let users restrict the search results further.According to the RoboHelp 2017 documentation, there should be an option to "enable AND search" ((the checkbox which restricts search results to topics which include all search terms). However, I can't seem to find it anywhere.I looked in the responsive HTML5 SSL Layout setup dialog, as well as in the layout itself (we are using the responsive Indigo layout). Can somebody point me in the right direction where I can enable this function? Or is this function not available at all for Indigo?Thanks a lot.

I am working on setting up procedures to publish a number of FM books to Responsive HTML5 from FM.  I am able to successfully publish some books, but others fail with the following (I get this same message if I try to publish even just a single FM file)I have also tried importing books or individual fm files into RH and get this same (or similar error). I have taken a look at the logs, but very little information is provided other than that it failed importing.Can anyone help me with this issue?John

Hi,I have a regular help topic and few paragraphs of text. A tag by the name Author_comments is already defined. When I apply the tag to a para, ideally it should insert a green horizontal line above the text/para where I apply the tag.What happens is that the para completely disappears/gets cut/excluded from the help topic. I have to do ctrl+Z to get back/view the para again.Some conditions work fine, while some behave this way. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I'm using RoboHelp 2017 and we just created a new HTML5 output. When I try to perform a search, it takes a LONG time to process and then I get this error: "The search string you typed is not valid".However, if I put the search term in quotations, it completes.

I have successfully generated the Adobe Air CSH output using the RoboHelp 10.Every thing is fine until we Zoom out the help on Mozilla Firefox browser. The layout of the help file behaves abruptly as shown in the screenshot. This is only happening on Mozilla Firefox browser (all versions).Kindly suggest any resolution regarding this.Thanks

My group and I all have RoboHelp 2017 installed locally, and we use SharePoint as our source control. We also all have Acrobat Pro DC Installed locally.I am trying to find a way to import comments from a shared review, and for whatever reason, the only comments I can import are my own. I have tried sending a shared review (saved to a network drive) or saving the file directly to our network drive. In both cases, I cannot import comments from my editors. On a separate document, I was able successfully to import my own comments, but I haven't been able to import anyone else.I can provide more specific information if needed, but is there something obvious that would cause this issue?

We have a C++ desktop application requiring context-sensitive help.  We have been using the RoboHelp WebHelp format for years; now we are migrating to the newer Multiscreen HTML5 help, using the Desktop profile only.1) Is it possible to do this?  Can a C++ desktop application call context-sensitive help using the Multiscreen HTML5 format?2) If so, how do we call the Multiscreen HTML5 help file from the C++ API?  We have been using the RH_ShowHelp API call in the C++ code provided with RoboHelp, but this call does not work with our Multiscreen HTML5 file.  The RH_ShowHelp method seems to work by appending “#<id=XXXX” (where XXXX is the Map ID) to the HTML file name we call, but this does not produce a pop-up help topic using the Multiscreen HTML5, as it does using the WebHelp file.3) Do we need to do anything special when generating the Multiscreen HTML5 help file to make it work from the C++ interface?4) Is there another C++ API method we should be using?  T
