Could anyone advise how to modify the Responsive HTML5 layout in RoboHelp 11. I need to change the position at which the left-hand side of the page is hidden as you reduce the width of the browser. It does not appear to be possible to change this setting within the GUI, although I assume you could directly modify the file which controls this setting. This is an important aspect of the Help content, so I would appreciate any advice on how to change it from the current, default settings. Thanks very much.

I couldn't locate the RH General forum but I am running RH Responsive HTML5. I am not able to compile in Chrome (56.0.2924.87) but Firefox is fine. It does that neverending blocky-wheel-of-death spin. Both RH (12.0.4.460) and Chrome are up to date.Anyone else experiencing this?

Using RH 11.0.4.291, I'm working in a Responsive HTML5 project. Several of the project's topics contain tables with more than 50 rows. These tables currently size appropriately, when the screen is reduced to the dimensions of a tablet or large phone. Due to the length of these tables, I would like to give them floating headers. I've seen HTML code snippets online that show how to do this, however I don't know if this functionality is supported in a Responsive HTML5 environment. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this effect?Thanks!   

Going to be installing Robohelp Server 10.  Will be setting it up to use an external database (SQL Server).Question - what data is stored in the database?  Is it the content for the contexts/areas themselves or just the usage data that builds the reports?

Hi all,So the Responsive HTML5 frameset has a top banner, TOC/Index/Glossary pane, and the topic pane. My team is asking me to add another frame to the right of the topic pane. This new frame would contain code samples, and ideally, users would be able to open the frame by clicking links in the topic frame. See the screenshot below for an example of what my team wants.Is this possible with RoboHelp? What would be involved?We're using RoboHelp 2015 with FrameMaker 2015 source content in a Windows 7 environment. Hi all,I am trying to add popup to my images in my project. The first solution that came to my mind was insert a hyperlink on the images and linked it to a new topic which contains that picture. The problem with this solution is I do not want my clients see the topics that only include picture (which I use for "link to" in hyperlink properties)!!! I started to use conditional tags and applied it to all topics that I wanted to hide in my output. I set conditional build expression and save and generated the project. The issue is the topics that I wanted to hide from clients are hidden now but I lost popup functionality which I guess related to the tags that I used on topics for hiding them.Is there any way that I fix this and go through it or you guys have any idea in your minds for building popup images? I have more than 50 topics and each topics have at least 5 images so in general I have to create large amount of topics with only pictures (for link to purpose) and then hide them from

On a network drive within the folder structure, there are 173 folders that have Word documents that I want to link from the network to my RoboHelp project. Is there a way to add these documents as linked documents all at once without navigating to each of the 173 folders?

Hi there,I've searched the forums and was unable to find anything about this. I'm on version 12.0.3.428 (RoboHelp 2015) and I've started using HTML5 for some of my teams' help files. I generated a set and found that the letter w displays as though someone wiped an eraser through the center of the letter. I know, kind of weird, right? It appears to manifest itself in the left side links. For example, when I click the Table of Contents, Index, or Search icons, and a word in any of those places contains a "w" it is odd looking. Take a look below. Lett image is from my index, and right is from ToC. And no, there's no dirt on my screen. 😉 Anyone else seen this? Is there a solution?Thanks.Tom

Is it possible in RH to but a conditional section into an HTM file?We need to put a little table containing some info for the authors into out HTML files such that it doesn't get into the final HTML content when thehelp is being built.There are these conditional build tags to exclude whole files from being included but it would be useful to allow certain portions of the file contents being turned off.--Christoph

Hello All,  I have been using Robohelp for some time now going all the way back to RH7. Currently using RoboHelp 10. I just created a RH10 Flashhelp project and I am having problems with the search results. Here is what I get.After Producing FlashHelp and opening localling to test search I get the followingIE 9: Search works correctllyFirefox 26.0: Search returns no results immediately, no long progress of searching almost instant return of no results.Chrome: same as Firefox.Hosting on IIS 6 Windows 2003 server R2 with Service Pack 2IE9: No search resultsChorme: No search resultsFirefox: No search resultsDoes anyone know of possible browser or RoboHelp generation settings that may cause this.Thank You,Anthony Padgett

I have upgraded to RoboHELP 2015 and have installed all 3 updates. When I generate a flash help and then run in IE11, the search function does not display any results. It looks like it's working (displaying Searching) but never displays any results.  I see the full data text search in the pod and I see many .xml files generated. If I generate a webhelp, the search feature works but of course I don't have that sexy flash gui that my customer likes. Anyone else having this issue? Is this a bug? Can anyone suggest a workaround or a fix?

Hi!I have generated a chm project using the webhelp to chm converter.My first test was okay:hh.exe chm-file opens the welcome page with the tripane of the webhelp inside.My problem appears when opening a specific theme (hh.exe -mapid chm-file) which is the normal user case:It's only the content without header or Toc (1). You have to scroll up (2), find the "Show" button and click on it.Then you get the entire frame (3)(To scroll (2) is obviously not part of my display problem 😉How can I change this behaviour? I want to have the entire frame (including Toc and Header) immediately when opening hh.exe with a -mapid option.

I imported a Word doc into RoboHelp. The Word doc had its own style sheet, which was imported as well, but I created my own style sheet for the Help project and applied it to all topics.I'm having two problems with my CSS:Having added a new style to my custom style sheet and applied the new style to a sentence or image, when I go back to see if the correct style is highlighted in the Style pod, it's not. It has always defaulted back to either "Normal" or "None." I created a style for a numbered list and a bulleted list, but although the style is set up to have little spacing between each number or bullet, the list always ends up with 14pt spacing. When I right-click on the text and look at the paragraph settings, I see that the Before: setting is 14pt. My style is not set up that way, so it seems that this other setting is overriding my style.Many thanks for your help,Maura

Hi,I have a requirement where, I need to replace my Robohelp search button or add a new feedback button. When a user click this button he or she will be directed to a google feedback sheet. Is it possible to link a button with google sheet in robohelp 11. If so what is the process to do so.

I haven't' found much in the way of discussion regarding RoboHelp 2017. We need to purchase RoboHelp 2017 to be compatible with both Office 2016 and with Windows 10. We are currently running RoboHelp 11. Will my project open in RoboHelp 2017 and will I encounter any issues?

If I add a link to an external stylesheet to a topic, and save the topic, the link works fine. However, the next time I edit the topic, RoboHelp 2015 removes the link to the external stylesheet. I am required to use this external stylesheet for this type of topic because the stylesheet is used by a number of other authors and it refers to externally hosted image files. How do I either get RoboHelp to stop removing the link to the external stylesheet or to allow me to reference an external stylesheet in the topic properties?

I am using RoboHelp 2015. I am trying to delete a specific conditional tag from the Conditional Tab pane and am getting the following message: "Encountered an improper argument". I can delete other tags, but not this specific one.

I've been asked to add some content to the CSS I use for our online Help content. This content relates to a livechat pop-up mechanism.One of the lines in the CSS code I've been given reads "background: #fff url("/dist/img/livechat_question.gif") no-repeat -5px -5px;"However, when I generate HTML5 output from RH, the resulting CSS does not include this URL - it gets stripped from the CSS, and we're left with "background:#fff   no-repeat -5px -5px;"Any ideas?

Why does OneNote automatically insert an 'Open Notebook' file (file type MS OneNote Table of Contents) into my RoboHelp 11 projects? I track projects using OneNote but do not link between ON and RH.
