There is an issue using the HHC.exe with Robohelp v8; the *.hhc (table of contents file) is saved in XML format BUT hhc.exe expects the format to be HTML ... so it cannot process the file and the compiled help (*.chm) file will have no table of contents (and no topics)I did check the Tools|Options|Convert RoboHelp edited topics to HTML ..... this does not help (in fact seemed to do nothing at all?)There is another post with this exact issue ... that was never answered (Nov 9 2012)the exact error message is as described in the other post>>HHC6000: Error: An internal file could not be created. Make certain there is enough disk space on the drive where you are compiling your file.HHC5007: Error: Fatal navigational compilation error. This is likely the result of an invalid contents (.hhc) file.all I need to do is be able to use the HHC.exe which is used in our automated build process ..... so I need to be able to convert (or save) the *.hhc file in HTML formatThanks

When I hover over links they're getting blocked out.

I created a CSS which I wanted to apply to my Printed Word Document. I applied the CSS to every topic and even while generating the output I selected the CSS i wanted to apply. But after the word file is generated none of the style is being applied. Is there a solution to it?

I created a CSS which I wanted to apply to the my document while generating a Word output. I applied the CSS to every topic by going to their Properties. Also in the Printed Document wizard, I selected the stylesheet radio button and selected the CSS I wanted to apply. But the word document does not show any styles being applied. Is their a solution?

We've developed several projects in the months I've been here, and I was thinking that it would be convenient to set up a .css file and store it somewhere, then import it whenever I begin a new project, rather than have to set up a new .css file every time. It would also ensure consistency.FYI: I'm using RH2015, with WebHelp as output.thanks,Lon

I recently upgraded from RoboHelp 9 to RoboHelp 2015, and I've installed all the latest updates. I use WebHelp output for the majority of my projects. I would love to use the new features of RH 2015, specifically the Responsive HTML5 output; however, when I open a project created with RH9, this output type is unavailable. This output type and many others are not listed as options I can select including Multiscreen HTML5, eBook, and others. I tried creating a new project with RH 2015 and importing the files from my RH9 project, but the Responsive HTML5 output and others remained unavailable. Are there settings I can change in my existing project or in RH 2015 to be able to use these new output types and features? Re-creating every topic in RH 2015 seems like a very undesirable solution.Operating System: Windows 7, 64-bit

I have RoboHelp 2015 using HTML5. I have entered new Baggage / PDFs then linked them. When I run output the list is gone. All links work just fine.Why do the list not stay under Baggage. Hello,I'm using RoboHelp 11, publishing WebHelp Pro to RoboServer 9. Viewing output on Chrome and IE 11. I have been trying to figure out how to build twisties into my project for drop down hotspots. After struggling with it all day yesterday I gave up. Then today a reviewer sent me some revisions by copy/pasting from the published webpage to a word document. In this word doc I could see the twistie images. So I went to replicate this myself - copied a dropdown hotspot from the website and pasted into word, and the twistie image was there.I then generated the SSL and viewed it before publishing - still no twisties visible.Here are examples:This is the Published web page, the arrows point out where twisties should be. I have Windows 7 and RoboHelp 9. I take a large Word document and convert it to online help. The TOC, IX, and Search look bad. I contacted Adobe Support and so far they say that that's just what 508-compliant help is supposed to look like, although I keep going back to try to get different opinions. Specifically, the TOC entries are not expandable and collapsible, it just shows the whole thing. They don't show tabs. The index builds entries from heading numbers, like 2_1_1_Add_a_New_Outcome.htm. Search shows symbols and numbers, starting with ! 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11, and has no search box to enter a word to search for. Does anyone know if this is really the only 508-compliant help I can get from RoboHelp, please?

has anyone found a way to return from a hyperlink to its origin?  each time i click on a hyperlink, a new window is opened but other than closing the window, i can't get out of it.  any ideas?

Version 2015 Robohelp. I'm trying to turn off the color change for visited hyperlinks and can't find where to do so. All documentation I've seen says to use Edit Stylesheet in the CSS section of the Edit menu option. Open the Hyperlink option and nothing I can see has an option for Unvisited or Visited.Tom

We are in the process of migrating our help system from Robohelp 7 to 2015.  The RoboHelp_CSH.cpp and .h are quite different between the two versions.  Is it necessary to use the more current one or will the old one work?

How do I prevent roboscreencapture from adding a pink hue to my screen shots when saving as .gif?  I have tried to change the color resolution to 24 bits which makes the images look good but as I hit the Save button, it reverts the resolution back to 8 bits and the image comes out with that pink hue.  In the Save As window, the Keep Current check box is checked...Any ideas?Thanks.

I am using RoboHelp 2015 on a Windows 7 computer.  I copied a Web Help project into a new directory and then opened it in WebHelp.  The project was created many years ago and then updated over the years.  The latest default.css file is in this directory and also in the generated output directory.When I generate the WebHelp output, all the styles are applied correctly except one.  The name of this style, COLUMNNAME, is all caps.  The rest of the style names have initial caps or all small letters.  Why is only one style in the document not being formatted correctly?This style has a color applied.  Only one other style in a document has a color applied and it works ok.The style formatting shows up correctly in the RoboHelp ap.  If I click on the text, then double click on the style, the style formatting then shows up correctly in the generated output.  This solution would be OK except I have thousands of text with this style.Thanks for your hel

I am using Robohelp 10 and currently have three projects going.  One of the projects I inherited and I am doing upkeep, the glossary tab works in this project.  One is also inherited and the glossary tab does not appear on this project.  The last is a practice, new project and the glossary tab does not appear on this project either.  Is there a .dll file that I need?  Thanks for your help!

Does anyone have ideas for problem solving edits to existing online published contentHave added new folders and imported three pdf's as single html into the filePublished as Admin to the server but folders and files are not showing.I can see the folders and new htm files in the view - but when I right-click show topic links they are orphans (unrelated)any problem-solving help appreciated 

The styles and formatting panel in my project is flickering and spastically jumping from one style to the next so I can't select a style.

I am trying to open a project with RH 2015 owned by another team through TFS, but it is saying I need to upgrade the project version. However, I know it is already converted because the team updated some files just last month, and because I opened it with RH 10 and it says it has been upgraded so I can't use RH 10 on it.I would go ahead and upgrade the project "again", but the other (10-time-zone-away) team has locks on some of the files and the locks are blocking the upgrade. I rebooted my PC and no change.What can I do?

I'd like to remove the list of conditional build expressions that accumulate (Single Source Layouts > Right click item > Properties > Conditional Build Expression drop-down list). We often use tags then remove them so eventually those conditional build expressions are no longer needed. It would be best if these expression could be removed because I see them as a mistake waiting to happen.After I select an expression, I click Define which opens the Define Conditional Build Tag Expression window. In the Advanced section, I click Clear then OK but the expression still remains in this drop-down. Is there a way to clear this list?

I've been struggling with this for a while. I added a new topic and mapped the ID. But when I place the .chm file in my application and then open the application to the appropriate screen and press F1, I get an error message: "Failed to launch help." The problem is only with the new topic. F1 is working for all other topics, and if I open Help and search for the new topic, I can find it. But I'd like it to show up when I press F1. Any ideas on what the problem might be?Thanks in advance.

I would like to include an image map in my responsive layout.  When I insert just an image into a topic, it resizes correctly as part of the responsive layout.  When I add a map to the image, it no longer resizes.I have seen examples of image map code that does work properly (e.g. jquery, and the coffee image map tool generate working responsive image maps), but when I attempt to incorporate this code into a RH topic, it does not work.Has anyone gotten a responsive image map to work in RH?ThanksJohnMessage was edited by: John Haller Correction... the tool I tried and was able to produce responsive image maps is called CoffeeCup. RoboHelp 9 > Web Help is Primary Layout.Is there a way to bring an additional Page icon into my project so that I can assign as an alternate based on the topic content?I understand that I can replace the default Topic/Page icon in the Skins but can't find instructions to bring a second image in.

I am using RoboHelp 2015 Release 3. I am looking for a script that will change a topic's status from "In Progress" to "Ready for Review" if a change was made to the topic.My thought is to have the script search each topic in the project for "rh-track-start." If found, the script would change the "topic-status" meta tag value to "Ready for Review," and then save the topic.@Someone may have done this already or may know a better way of doing this. I am open for suggestions. Any and all help is appreciated.
