I am working in RoboHelp 11. I generated a Responsive HTML5 output and put it on a network folder. It looked great for everyone. Then, another user of RoboHelp 11 opened, updated and generated the output, and now when I open the output, the graphics are missing (red X problem) and most of the formatting is gone. If I reopen and regenerate the project, the output looks fine on my computer again but the other user gets the problems! We both have read/write access to the folder where both the project and the outputs are stored. Help!

After generating iPad and iPhone output using Multiscreen_HTML5, I noticed that my bulletted lists were converted to numbered lists in the output. If I right-click my topics, they have another .css file associated with them instead of the mobile.css file that I see under iPad_Layout in the Project Set-up pod.I used the CSS editor to add a new bulletted list style to mobile.css. Then I applied mobil.css to a topic. However, I don't see the new bulletted list style if I click the Apply Style drop-down list (in the upper left corner near the Change Font drop-down.) As I workaround, I can manually apply bullets to my lists by selecting Format > List > Bullets and Numbering, but I know this is not idea. When I have applied mobile.css to a topic and am viewing that topic, why can't I see all the correct styles in the Apply Style drop-down list?Thanks.

I run the Printed Documentation by generating a Word docx for a hand full of topics, I select Microsoft Word Template and for the template I select Style Mapping.dot and for Map Non-heading Styles I use Projects CSS Styles (used only) and I select the normal style below that section and then I generate.  It goes thru the motions and just before it is completed I get an error message and it closes RoboHelp completely.Is there a limit to the number of topics I can generate to a Word doc?I want to understand why this is happening.Thank you!Joanna

Hi all,Is it possible to merge several separately created Webhelp projects so that when you launch one project, you can see the TOCs of the other projects as well? (ie, they would all appear to be part of the same help but were actually created separately). I am using RH10.Thanks.

I have just upgraded from TCS1.3 (FM8/RH7) to TCS5 (FM12/RH11).I have a legacy WebHelp project which I created in TCS1.3 some years ago. The source content is currently authored in an FM book and the RH project is linked to that book .  The original assumption behind that workflow was that much of the future content would need to be single-sourced from material shared between various existing FM books which already served our PDF output. However, this turned out not to be the case.I now need to include a lot of new material into the help and would prefer to move forward in just RH11 alone. So far I have used RH only as the rendering engine for the WebHelp output, but from now on will be adding new topics (and updating existing topics) directly in RH with no further FM involvement. Using RoboHelp 11. Publishing in WebHelp. Server Clinet OS Windows 8.I'm facing a problem with the way my WebHelp is publishing. A couple weeks ago our company switched to a case-sensitive sever which will only detect uppercase file extensions. They switched over due to security reasons. I save all my images in Photoshop, which saves file extensions like .jpg in lowercase by default. Since our Help file has been around for quite a while it's built up a stable of images with both uppercase file extensions (.JPG) and lowercase file extensions (.jpg). Since the switch to a case-sensitive server environment, any lowercase .jpg images now appear as missing or broken links. We've tried just about every fix we can think of to get these images to show back up.We went through and changed the file extensions to uppercase and then updated the .htm file that is linked to them. After doing this the preview looked good so we compiled. No good. The compiled version actually switches the files back. W

Which internet browsers and which versions of those browsers support (can properly display) WebHelp created in RoboHelp HTML 10?

I'm using RoboHelp 11 and want to remove the theme.  Basically, I do not want that header or search or any of that on the output.  Is this possible?  Also, how do I add my own header and footer? Any help is greatly appreciated.

My project has an empty file which cannot be deleted but was ignored by RH9.  In converting to RH11 I get the following message: "Error - node */Views/<folder name>/<folder name>/SBLCRVAL.htm already exists."  However, there is no other file by that name in the project.  There is a similar one which I renamed and everything works fine in RH9, but I cannot convert to RH11.

How do you (or can you) configure PDF for Review to use a specific variable set? I'm using RoboHelp HTML 10.

We have built many large projects in RoboHelp 6 over the years.  We recently needed to upgrade to RoboHelp 7.  In doing so, I have converted all projects to the new version.Previously, in RoboHelp 6, if I needed to create a new Topic I could either simply right click and create New Topic or even duplicate an existing topic and edit the new instance. I would use the default style sheet and template when creating or duplicating. This would create a topic page that was fully customizable (e.g., did not require a header, body, etc.). I could then drag the topic to create links to the page or even as Pop Ups. This worked flawlessly and was very user friendly!In RoboHelp 7, I went to create a new Topic with the intention of using it as a Pop Up and link to it on an existing page. Each new page I create, even when no template is selected and is using the default style sheet

We just upgraded from RH9 to RH11 and our Captivate videos now have errors "file or directory cannot be found". Any ideas?

It seems to only be an issue with the Chrome browser. The help works in both IE and Firefox. Since Google Chrome is a very popular browser and many people have it set as their default, this is quite disconcerting.I am using RoboHelp Version 9.0.2.Thank you.

Hello,I'm using the new Responsive HTML5 output in RH11. For some of my hyperlinks, I want to use a pop-up to display the linked topic. In the output, the pop-ups work, but they are automatically displayed using the phone layout, with the associated navigation buttons at the bottom, the help title, and so on. I don't want this - I just want a plain popup window. So, I tried to add a Screen Profile, set to 400 x 500 pixels exactly (thinking that this is bigger than a phone, but smaller than a tablet). I also added a corresponding Screen Layout. In the popup properties, I set the popup size to be 400 x 500 pixels. I guess there is something else I need to do to get this to work... but I don't know what that is. (I tried creating a new Window on the Project Set-up tab, and I tried creating a different master page. These things didn't work.)Can anyone tell me if what I'm trying to do with these popups is just a bad idea and it won't work well with certain browsers?Thanks!Alexandra

All of a sudden, the SharePoint RoboHelp version control "link" stopped connecting to the team's local versions.  Now, once we logout of RH, we have to redownload the SP version to our computers in order to continue working.  We are on RoboHelp 10 and did not have this issue previously.  We do not know what may have triggered it (perhaps an enterprise deployment of new security software?). Any thoughts or ideas on how to re-establish and MAINTAIN the version control connection?

If I am using RoboHelp10 and publishing to SharePoint, should I create the project in RH HTML or RH Word?

Is there a script patch for RoboHelp 9 so it can work on IE 11?

I recently had to reinstall RoboHelp V9 on my PC (got a new hard drive) and my laptop. When I went to create a print document from one of my help files, I got the message shown here.I have Word 2013 so I'm a little confused. This obviously has something to do with the fact that I had to reinstall RH, because I was able to create print documents with no problem before this. Feb 21, 2014Hi,I recently downloaded the RoboHelp 11 trial version at work, so I'm really new to this app. I am the only one using it, and if I can figure it out during the trial period, the company will purchase it.My biggest problem right now is styles. I am creating online help to attach to another application. I started from scratch - I tried importing from Word, but that created a whole lot of style nightmares. I used an existing RH template, created books and pages, put my content into design editor, but can't change a style so that the change is incorporated into my content. What's the trick?I've read so many help topics, but still can't figure it out. I tried changing the default.css, then highlighted the content and selected the changed style from Styles and Formatting. Nothing. I tried creating new styles in Styles and Formatting, highlighted the text, double clicked on the new style to apply it...and Nothing.What am I missing here? How do I create and/or change styles so the

I am making a multi-screen HTML 5 help project.  We want to add videos.  Right now the videos are mp4, but really we could convert them to anything.  I want the videos to appear on the page at a nice small specified size.  That I can do.  However, I want the user to be able to expand the video to a boarderless full-screen size, similar to Youtube videos.  I can't find any option to add a full-screen button to the video player.  Can it be done in Robohelp?  Do I have to buy an external video player?Thanks.

Hello guys,i have a problem with importing word-documents to RH11. It is not a problem with the process itself, but with the settings. After importing the documents to RH11 the image quality is absolutly messed up. The resolution is not even half of the original and its blurry. It seems to be that RH11 only takes a "screenshot" of the picture within the word document instead of importing the original high quality image.I am generating a manual and therefor im going to export the project as WebHelp Pro. My inconvinient solution is to export the high quality images from the word document manually and replace the messy pictures in the WebHelpPro folders. As you can imagin this is going to take a lot of time and resources while the project is getting bigger.Hopefully you can help me.Best regards from Germany and please pardon my English 🙂

Does anyone know if it's possible to set a topic or file to open in a new browser tab? I know you can set it to open in a new window but my users want it to open in a new tab.ThanksMike

Hi, Gang!We have a large project file that's been maintained seeming forever. It's probably nearly 8 years old and has been upgraded through four or five versions of RoboHelp. To take advantage of some downtime in between versions, we decided to create a fresh project and import all of the content from the age-old project file into a new, pristine project file. Very briefly, the process was:Create a new project and define a folder hierarchy in the Project Manager to match the original project. That is, create empty directories in the proper hierarchy for the project.Import one folder at a time, beginning with the lowest levels of each branch and working through the project.This worked really well except for about 30 broken links. Further investigation refvealed that the broken links were caused by files that imported but did not show up in the project manager because the fpj files didn't update. I can manually import the missing files and one-by-one, the broken links disappear. But, be
