I have a user that has Adobe Pro and cannot open embedded .PDF files in a Word document nor can the user open a .PDF document on a network drive.  I uninstalled Adobe Pro and installed Adobe DC and the user can now open embedded .PDF documents in Word and open .PDF documents from a network drive. Using Adobe DC is not an option as the user needs to edit the document. I uninstalled Adobe DC and installed Adobe Pro and the issue returns. The user cannot open enbedded .PDF documents or open a .PDF from a network drive. Any help to resolve this issue would be appricated. Tom K

I want to highlight the old way and I can’t anymore.  I want to highlight text that has been OCR’ed from a scanned document or other documents containing text.  At one point I was able to do this with some but not all documents.  Now I can’t highlight text the right way, even with documents I had been able to highlight before. The problem is that when I use the highlight tool, it puts boxes around the highlighted text and makes it into a comment.  All I want is to highlight.  I already know how to make the ‘hate’ example have more opacity.  For example:   Others have posted about this: adobe acrobat dc highlight text option not making ... - Adobe Community - 13102524 Highlight tool is inconsistent - Adobe Community - 9501847 If we can’t fix it now, will going back to an older version of Adobe work?  

Hello, Iam having problems printing a pdf in actual size, always change the print size, iam usung a macbook with 15.4.1 Sequoia. and a Canon 1238i. I try all options possible and any result, anyone can help me? Thanks!

I am having difficulty with the actual page sizing of a pdf document.  The document is a book cover template downloaded from the publisher's site.  According to my Acrobat Pro, the document properties show the pdf is the correct size (width and height) and the pritn screen verifies that.  However, when I submit it to the publisher, it is rejected because it is smaller than what their template says it should be.  I am at a loss to figure out how to make the document's actual size match what their cover template says it needs to be.  Is there something in Acrobat Pro that I can utilize to solve this problem with actual sizing?  Or, could the problem be my web browser (Duck Duck Go and Firefox) with my Mac computer?

I am able to go through the process of Encrypting with Password a document via Adobe in outlook, which once done, I can click on the attachment in the email and it will require the password. But as soon as it is sent, the protected document looses its protection and can be opened by the recipient without a password

Hi All, We have a PDF form which we print and manually and fill in but I am looking at making it interactive. I would like to have a drop-down to select a folder from our network in one section of the form. I know this cannot be done in Acrobat alone with JavaScript, but after a bit of searching online it can be achieved by creating an external file. So far I haveCreated a Windows PowerShell Script to create a .txt file which contains all the folders in the Network location. Hi. I was wondering if it is possible for a sender of a PDF to modify/edit the PDF after sending it? As I received a PDF and now there has been information changed in it and I am trying to figure out how it was done? I would appreciate any help anyone could give me, Thank you

I'm trying to make my date text boxes to autotab and limit to one character.To do this, I've added a javascript:function tab_next(next_field_name) {  if (event.willCommit || AFMergeChange(event).length === event.target.charLimit) {    getField(next_field_name).setFocus();  }} Then I would go to the text field I wanted to edit and go to Properties > Format, I would select custom under the format category. I would then add this script to the Custom Keystroke panel:tab_next("NextFieldName");Note that the NextFieldName is replaced with the date field box I needed The problem happens when I click on OK and my script is not saved over and the format category changed back to None. How can I solve this? 

Good Morning! We have a group of employees that often taken a PDF that contains multiple pages (in the range of 200-500 pages) and extract them out into separate PDF's to load into a system. Often times, these large PDF's that they begin with hold page labels for each and every page, but when extracting, they lose these page labels and the individual files are named differently. What we're aiming to do is have a javascript that they can run to extract all pages out of a multi-paged PDF and in that process, it name the individual PDF files the same name as their page label.I believe the two functions that we're dealing with are Doc.getPageLabel() and Doc.extractPages() but we're unsure as to how to tie this into a javascript that will do what we need it to do. Unfortunately, none of us have any experience with JS. I appreciate any and every ones help! Thank you!

Hello, I am using since years the Acrobat Web Interface for signing documents - straight. My saved signatures appeared as they appeared in the desktop (Apple and MS Windows).Since approx one month the saved signatures are not appearing, and if I press save in the web client it does NOT save. So the whole process is cumbersome.It is annoying to say the least - my saved signatures show up in the account! Tried logging in and logging out ... it is on all browsers, Safari and Edge.Anyone knows the issue ?

I have developed a custom CSP DLL, and I tried pushing a certficate to window store with private key referencing to custom CSP .I have registered my CSP in registry entry and signed and pasted the DLL in system32 and sysWOW64 folders.When i try to sign a document using the above certificate, my custom CSP DLL is not called,but when I try to do the same (tried to access the private key and use cryptsignmessage)in a console app it is calling my dll.Please help me out, why my csp is not called by adobe.

I have been using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for more than 7 years on two Windows 10 machines (at different times as is permitted) I actually have two perptual licenses. (In fact one of my packages containing the CD and serial number was not even opened until today) - A few days ago I started getting the not Genuine messaage.   When I go to my Adobe account and type in my serial numbers,  I get a messages stating that both serial numbers are invalid.  I also read that that some older Adobe software can no longer be actived. But my software was activated.   Is there a way,  I can fix this.   I have no interest in renting software by the month.

I am trying to convert PDFs into JPEGs in Adobe Acrobat but I get the error 'The image is too wide to output'. Yet a send the same PDF to a colleage and he can do it with Acrobat no problem. What is the issue, is it in my settings? Sometimes it will do most pages and just one or two get the error.

The NEW Version of Acrobat with all of it's bullsh*t AI crap forces full (all product lines) subsribers to LOGIN AGAIN AND AGAIN, simply to access HELP files -- the ASSISTANT sucks (same destination) and the (?)HELP icon has 7-9 options on the list, YET ALL OF THEM TAKE USERS TO THE SAME G.DAMNED DESTINATION. Anyway, once upon a time over the last 25 years of my using Adobe Acrobat Pro and DC, I was always able to OPEN a PNG image of a geographical MAP which I had saved from other applications.  Then, I was able to DRAW a RECTANGLE with 0% transparency, WHITE fill, BLACK outline.THEN, ADD TEXT and drop it right on top of the white rectangle.This is IMPOSSIBLE NOW. COMMENTS does not allow users to CENTER justify the text, THUS I cannot create a TITLE to my maps or other drawings anymore that follow our industry standard format. This cannot be done without going through a dozen unnecessary operations or using another application to create a fully integrated image with

1. Is there any way to prevent copying or printing of a pdf file once it has been downloaded from one computer to another? 2. Can passwords still be required for a pdf recipient to copy or print a pdf file once it has been downloaded from one computer to another?My book publisher is considering giving me rights to sell pdf versions of my books. However, I want to prevent purchasers from making multiple copies of my books. I'm looking at possible ways to prevent purchasers from making multiple copies of a book they've downloaded as a pdf file.  Any thoughts? 

Dear community,I have problem with my adobe acrobat Pro, namely I moved my Pro license to new PC and uninstall Acrobat Pro on my old PC (I don't logged out before uninstall). I logged in to Adobe Pro in my new PC but thers popping out information that"Serial number ................................ is already in use by the maximum number of computers allowed. To use the product, you must deactivate it on one of the computers within 24 days."It seems that uninstalling did not cause logged out.

I finally have a working single, fillable business card (form). A real PITA to make. I gave up on designing in ID and exporting to pdf. I have created an ID 10-card template that I can export as a PDF. It is for a dedicated business card cutting machine. Q1: How do I get a single business card PDF (form) into a 10-card layout PDF (also a form I assume for it to work) when one person enters their info into one card it is entered into all remaining nine cards. I do know that if all fields have the same name it will populate all 10 cards. Q2: Once on the new pdf, Is there a grouping feature that I am not aware of that will allow me to move all the fields at once? Q3: Why is this product so non-intuitive and difficult to use? Thanks

For a while now Adobe crashes everytime our employees try to use the e-sign feature. It freezes for a second and just completely closes without any error messages or indication as to why it closed. Over the course of a  week I have uninstalled and reinstalled adobe 3 times on 1 computer, not to mention the other ones... I did that as a last resort. Before that I checked for updates and everything was up to date. After that I tried the repair installation and that also didn't work. Eventually I completely removed EVERYTHING Adobe related on my computer and reinstalled. Worked for less than a day before giving the exact same problem. It's on the Pro version of Acrobat, and I've had similar cases where signing and filling in forms do the same thing on versions that are not the Pro. It's really frustrating when you have the same few people complaining about the same thing every week. I know it's not their fault, but I'm just as frustrated as they are, so that's why I'm posting this. A

I am creating a fillable pdf in Acrobat on a MacBook Pro. When I add a field and set it as a Date or e-signature and set it as a signature, they both function as a basic text box. Plus, I cannot make any appearance changes to the e-signature.

I have an email with multiple attachments, and I want to convert them into separate PDF files. It doesn't have to be hierarchical, just seperate files. Does anyone know any tricks for this? Thanks 

There are two different dropdowns (named "dd1" and "dd2") with the same 13 selections ("a" through "m")When "a" or "b" is selected, a hide field should to appear.Example script for both dd1 and dd2:if((event.value =="a") || (event.value =="b")) {this.getField("Hide").display = display.visible;} else {this.getField("Hide").display = display.hidden;} This script works for both dropdown's, however, if the selection for "dd1" was NOT "a" or "b", the hide field needs to stay hidden even if  "a" or "b" is selected from "dd2". Is there a way to add this condition to the validation script for "dd2" (i.e., reference "dd1" and it's selections)? Any help would be appreciated!

I have been using the SimHei font for a long time with no problem. Now when I try to print to Adobe PDF from FrameMaker, Distiller gives an error that the font is not found. I can save as PDF from FrameMaker with no error, so the font is installed and working properly. This is also causing a problem with distilling graphics from FrameMaker files for use in RoboHelp. Distiller worked fine with this font 4 months ago. I have tried reinstalling the font and changing permissions on the font file, to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated, because I'm out of ideas! Here's the error:
