I spent HOURS adding text to a PDF. Then all of sudden, almost all of the text I've added as been altered by having random letters deleted!  Help! This has happend both times I've worked on the file. It starts out fine and then goes crazy.  I can't figure out why this is happening or how to fix it.   (I'm running a 7 day trial of the program.) I attached a photo.  Look at the top line of text where lots of letters are missing.  

But it isn't signed.  There is a block for a digital signature, but it is not signed.I tried File, Save A Copy; but even that copy cannot be changed.  All of the edit controls are greyed out.

Hoping to compare two versions of a ~115 page / 2.5 MB document. Even when comparing text only, the process fails after around 25 pages and an error message pops up saying "Adobe could not compare the documents completely. Do you want to see the report anyway?" Viewing the incomplete report causes the app to freeze after a few minutes. Is this the result of a page or change limit? I could split the document into 4-5 smaller sections and run multiple compares, but I would prefer to have one cohesive comparison report.__PRESENT

New Acrobat opens in the browser by default.  I DO NOT want pdfs opening in the browser.  I want them to open in my desktop app by default.  How do I change the setting?

Hi, hi! 🙂 I'm trying to copy form fields from one PDF to another but running into some odd trouble. The original PDF is 8 1/2 x 14 and it prints in landscape format.  The target PDF is basically the same as the original PDF with some minor updates - I made those updates to the Word version and then converted it to the new, target PDF. When I copy the form fields from the original PDF and paste them into the target PDF, the form fields change orientation.  I thought maybe rotating the target PDF and then pasting in the form fields might work but, upon pasting them in, the form fields are rotated as well.  What can I do to make the form fields paste correctly into the target PDF? Thank you so much!! 

Created a test with a dropdown list for the answers. It works fine on my computer, but it doesn't work when it is emailed.

Trying to make Word documents accessible and convert them to Adobe Acrobat Pro (PDF).  Word form controls (e.g. check marks) that are made accessible in Word, don't transfer to PDF (not accessible in PDF). Don't want to create fillable forms in Acrobat. What other solutions do I have?

My application is creating PDF files. it first creates two or more PDF documents and then combines those together.  When my PDF are modified by the application by adding stamping and then combined, Acrobat gets an error when I open the document.  The exact error isThere was an error processing a page. There was  a problem reading this document (110).The error occurs on pages where I have added stamping.The PDF can be viewed with Chrome.This doesn't happen unless I combine documents. If I open a single document, its good. The error does not occurr unless multiple PDFs are combined.  My question is How can I use the PDF tools (or some other to find out whats wrong. Is it the stamping or is it the combining? I installed the trial of Adobe and attempted to open with Preflight, but Adobe sometimes crashes when I try to analyze it.  I tried some online analyzers. I download all of the adobe pro for my city departments,. Some of our adobe pro is not giving them the optio on the app, and when they open a pdf, to requets for E signitures. Ii does on the web based app, but not the app itself. I have followed all the promots about unistalled, reinstalling, edits etc...  please help!!!

I used to like adobe acrobat reader but now I've stopped using it. The constant efforts to get me to sign into some sort of account is stupid. I shouldn't have to do this to, for example, rotate a PDF. Ludicrous if you ask me. So now I use another program to read and manipulate PDF files. If I ever contemplated buying the paid for version I'm certainly not going to do it now. Regards

I have icons that are parts of my PDF, and to those icons I have been creating links by clicking on them and choosing Create link, then navigating to the file I want to link to, and double-clicking that file. This has nearly always worked, and it has worked many times today in the file I have attached, although I have not included any of the files that it has linked to. Now, however, when I click on an icon and choose Create link, all I see is an arrow next to a little box floating on the screen. Specifically, it no longer takes me to a folder in which I can navigate to the file I want to link. I have seen this problem before, and it has usually solved it just to restart my computer, but that fix did not work this time. Anything else you might need, please let me know, and please feel free to connect to my computer if you can and hopefully see it for yourself. The media I link to are usually audio (WAV) files and MP4 videos.

When combining documents the first page is oversized - how do I fix this one page

I have a text field with a default value, which tells the Customer what info needs to go into that field. In this text field, I have "On Focus" and "On Blur" actions to have the default value grey, but anything the Customer writes, overwrites the default value (without the Customer having to delete it), and then their text is black. This text field is working great. However, when one radio button is selected (out of two, it's only one or the other), I want the same functionality, but a different default value. For example, the text field's default value is currently "Company Name", but when that one radio button is on, I want the default value of that text field to change to "Order#" (with the Customer being able to overwrite it, without having to delete anything, changing the color from grey to black).  I tried writing a "Mouse Up" Javascript under the radio button itself to have that text field change to "Order#" when on, but then the Customer has to delete "Order#" to

Hallo zusammen, ich nutze Adobe PRO auf 64-bit System und erstelle häufig Dokumente mit Formularfeldern. Mein Problem: nach Erstellung der Felder und Speicherung des Formulars wird das pdf von wenigen MB auf teils mehrere MB "aufgebläht". Dateiverkleinerung, Minimierung von Schriftgrössen etc. hilft gar nichts. Hat jemand einen Tipp?

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. I have installed Creative Cloud and Acrobat Pro on my iMac and on my MacBook Pro. When I start it, I get the following error messages, see attachment. I hope you can understand it, unfortunately it is in German. I have checked everything, the router the firewall everything, there is nothing that should block this. I have even tested other networks.Basically everything works, it's just the messages on startup. Does anyone have a tip for me as to what the problem is?

recently when a print a multi page PDF file, the 1st page only is printing to the size of a postage stamp and backwards, but all other pages print regular size. This can't be a settings issue if the others print fine. Please help?!

PDF in Japanese will not convert to Word doucument in Japanese

When opening a document, Acrobat defaults to Fit Width. Inside a document, if I change the zoom on say, page 1 to Fit Visible, then go to another page and come back, the first page shifts back to Fit Width. Basically, every time I turn a page, I have to change the zoom setting.I went to Preferences and set the default to Fit Visible. This had no effect on this or other documents.I went to Properties for the document and set the Open property to Fit Visible, saved the document, and opened it again. It defaulted back to Fit Width.This is new -- it didn't used to work like this, It used to function as expected; setting Properties would stick, and changing zoom on individual pages would stick.Please fix this bug.I am using 2018.011.20038 on MacOS 10.12.6.

I am on OS X El Capitan and am trying to print to a HP Photosmart 5510 and keep getting the error message "Unable to convert PostScript file" ... what is the fix???
